[Q] 4.2 camera recording audio

I have been looking though all the forums to find out why or if its possible to fix the recording issue while taking video on any cm 10.1 base rom with the 4.2 camera. i love stock roms but the recording audio sucks. is there any fix for it please help.
Nope, it's a closed source, Samsung's proprietaries... and the open source drivers aren't extremely compatible with the audio drivers they're using. Nothing to do but wait and hope they get it sorted it out. If it was easy they'd have done it already.

Require stable custom 5.1 ROM for tomato

I have tried all possible custom ROM's for my tomato but none of them are fully stable. Most of them has there own issues. Require a Custom ROM which is at least fully stable and usable. Below is the list of all common issues with lollipop custom ROM's for Yureka .. :-
1. (major issue) capacitive touch buttons can't be disabled completely nd so On-screen nav bar can't be used at its best.
2. Battery drain is another issue with all the custom ROM's..
3. Gapps stopping.. FC occurring during reboots nd sometimes even after reboots.. AOSP crashing...!
4. Camera app is not upto mark in any of available custom ROM's.. Worse performer than stock lollipop..
5. ROM's must provide us with some powerful custom kernel's to give us full control on hardware.. No rom has provided a great kernel which can be used for tweaking...
6. Status bar and notification panel getting f****d up with customization in most of the ROM's..
7. (Most Important in my case) Colors are really dull in most of the ROM's.. Color production is very poor and can be felt while playing games..
If all these issues can be resolved by any ROM developer, for me it will be the perfect ROM... Waiting eagerly for it..
All problems mentioned above are based on the ROM's reviewed by me which are:-
1 SOKP 5.1.1
2 BlissPop rom for tomato
3 Resurrection 5.1
(?I suggest developers to add viper4android as equaliser app and cameraNext modded app as default camera app) ? both are best in their category

Off-Topic...This is a development section....Ur querries and requests whether related to development or not should have been posted in general section...
It is related to development
Flashed from my Yureka
First of all the topic of this thread is just wrong,as you require you build one stable for you(as if its easy as installing an apk),
second the issue you mentioned here are already posted by many users in the specific ROM threads,
Third thing is that feature requests should be made in general section or in specific ROM threads,
fourth you don't pay them to demand or suggest them,
fifth just wait patiently, posts and unwanted threads like this will irritate some developers so that you may lose some ROMs !!
Note: I request mod to move this thread to its specific section.

Why don't you build yourself a custom ROM and fix all your ISSUES yourself? the developers do their best, and we should do our part and not complain.
Of course they do... It was meant to be a request nd nothing to boil the things off...All bugs mentioned above were to help developers identify all the issues nd to avoid them as all these are common one's.....!!
And I don't think any developer will see this post as an offence as it is not meant to be.. Developers are no God and they too need to be told about what they need to avoid..
Also this post has been posted in development section as it covers common issues related to ROM's which are posted here...!!
Flashed from my Yureka
The latest rr rom seems to be stable enough to be used as a daily driver. Better than stock cm12 anyways

While I understand that you did not mean to rile people up with your post, it comes off as a little bit demanding. Devs know what they have to work on, feedback on the custom ROM posts is there for that. They need not be constantly reminded of it by seeing it on the front page. If everyone started demanding things by making posts about it on the forum nothing would get addressed. Developing a ROM is not a simple task it requires a lot of knowledge. Developers know what bugs their ROMs have and they try their best to fix them. Also I agree with people above that this should not be in the development section its a general thread.
I have RR in My primary phone Nexus 4 which is pretty stable. For Yureka, I'll probably root and go with RR soon. If the demand is for most stability, go with Stock. But till my usage on CM12 Lollipop, it's not that stable enough and there are rarely bugs too (These are complained many times in YU Forums). Hence it might be pretty obvious reason for that instability of Custom ROMs. One solution I'm wishing for now. How to install Xposed GravityBox module to Yureka phone? Since it comes with CM12 which violates the rule of install in Non-AOSP, is there AOSP version available for this phone? If not, can a AOSP custom ROM be built to 1+1/Yureka phones?
This thread should be closed asap.
Be happy with whatever you're probided by the devs. They are human beings (just like us) and do these works in their free time. Bug fixes take time, they aren't fixed with a click of a button. All 5.1.1 roms (for dual sim devices) had the systemui/settings fc bug. But these bugs have been solved now. See, I told you bug fixes need time. You flash roms at your own risk, so you shouldn't demand things. Rather, just be humble in listing the bugs and wait for the dev of the respective rom to fix them. These are devs spending their leisure time in compiling roms fro your device while they could've been out enjoying with their friends. They don't even get paid for all this. So next time before you use the F word in a thread, think twice.

here's something that promises much, i think. and the dev @percy_g2 seems to be well-respected.
In what way its related to development...Is posting ur querries a development??? Or giving suggestions to those who already know what to do and what not a development??...This is totally an off-topic...
Build a bug-free ROM and post it here or a kernel and post it here..and thats development btw...
Pinpointing errors and bugs is known as reporting btw...

Are you serious?
He's almost ordering the devs to build a stable rom, why?
If he's so keen why doesn't he himself build one?
All devs have already specified all the possible bugs on the particular rom threads so why should you post them separately in a new thread?
Imagine if everyone made new threads about the bugs? All threads would be about bugs only and nothing about development.
SO!
Think twice before posting. Post only relevant stuff. Read all the posts before posting. AND DON'T COMPARE DEVS' WORK and DON'T ORDER THEM, THEY DON'T GET PAID BY YOU!
I hope you and the OP understand my point and never commit a stupidity of this kind again.
wtf man we already have cm12.1 official (snapshot) and now we got cynogen os 12.1 that too stable !!

UVC support enabled in kernel. probably need to build rom-side support still. libuvc avutils etc.
- This is for plugging in camera devices in conjuction with apps like LegitDashcam.
USB Gadget functionality as per pelya's work ,
- pelya/android-keyboard-gadget
I am working my kernel source here toward net-huntery goodness.
The rest you tell me, and you tell me properly. Messages like

This is not a random discussion thread either. Idle chatter belongs in general.
This is also NOT a discussion thread for Xposed,Viper, etc..

Notes and Updates
NOTE
SELinux is COMPLETELY disabled on this build. If You want security go back to stock.
SELinux enforcing is the goal though.
I strongly recommend using a "traditional" root os SuperSU over systemless-root.
Reasons:
Opengapps requires a factory-reset or fresh install to set up correctly!
Privacy Guard based root sucks. It forgets alot of permissions granted.
Use BETA-SuperSU-v2.52
Would have posted earlier but needed a smoke break *>cough<*
NOTE: this initial offering is in 3 parts due to limited bandwidth issues.
When i have resolved external storage i will upload a new build.
NFC may take a little longer.

Does the Bluetooth restart or dont work like it should be?

So, a small report about this ROM. For now I'm using it two days in a row, and it's pretty stable - you can use main functions without any troubles: WiFi, RIL, Themes Engine etc. Bluetooth works great, crashes sometimes and automatically restarts - not a big deal. It's a really smooth for alpha build and could be used even as daily driver if you close your eyes on some small bugs with not so important stuff. Anyways, testers are welcome

Ok cleaned this up a bit.
I don't really have much issue with discussion on GIT etiquette, and tips to keep your "house clean" as it were. I think that's a good thing with devs working together on things like that.
Here's the bottom line. If you are merging commits into a kernel you have to keep the original authorship, period. To do otherwise is kang. We all know this.
Now if some dude has some private repo where during personal testing authorship is removed, but anything merged into the public kernel or the release repo/binary maintains proper authorship, then that is a bit gray, but the user is not clearly attempting to claim authorship at all.
If anyone sees a blatant kang, or attempt to hide/claim authorship, please report to the mods for handling. If this particular point needs more discussion, please open up a thread about it and have a non flame war discussion about it.
@moonbutt74 - I do ask that you make it very blatantly sure what your public release repo is, and that your authorship is maintained, and I actually recommend you do not link your personal playground repo to avoid situations.
Thanks guys.
After looking thru all and speaking with the OP, I am closing this thread.

Question [CLOSED] Best A12 custom rom

Hello! I'd like to change my xiaomi.eu rom to any AOSP Android 12 rom. Tell me please the best choice. I need good battery life and without freezes and minimum bugs.
I think there are only 2 AOSP Android 12 roms. Arrow os and pixel extended. I have been using arrow os for almost a week and so far it's great. Minimum bugs and great battery life. I am getting 10+ hours of screen on time. And also no customisation options for obvious reasons.

DON'T FLASH GAPPS, THEY'RE ALREADY INCLUDED
Install Instructions
Make sure you are on OneUI 5 firmware (D bootloader or newer and U2 rev) before flashing this ROM, otherwise the installation might fail or not boot!

Make sure your device's bootloader is unlocked.
If not done before, flash blank VBMeta with Odin in AP slot.
Make sure to have the latest available version of TWRP/OrangeFox installed.
If wanted, backup all your necessary partitions (super, boot, vendor_boot, data, EFS) before flashing this in case something goes wrong.
Download the PE build for your device from the link below.
Flash the PE zip using the "Install" button.
Format data in TWRP/OrangeFox as the very last thing, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop if coming from stock ROM.
Wipe metadata and cache partitions. This only has to be done once when you install PE.
Reboot

No, it's you who is in the wrong here. It's incredibly annoying having someone bothering you over and over and over again for the same thing, especially when you ask in a thread that has nothing to do with EvolutionX. I agree that you have the right to ask for the ROM to be built, but you should ask in your own thread or as Risen said, learn how to build it yourself.
I have installed PE this morning and so far everything works fine! Thanks for all the effort!
To all of you - early testers, is this ROM usable as daily driver?
Mobile payments? gcam/any other camera working? Is ROM faster than stock OneUI 5.1?
What about signal strength, battery backup, RAM management...?
I was very, very satisfied with this ROM on my previous device (Poco F1), so looking forward to try it, but I don't have enough time to do the clean install yet.

This stops here. Flaming and disrespect will absolutely not be tolerated on XDA.
In addition, we would all do well to remember that developers who share their work on XDA are not compensated; this is a hobby for most of them, and the best thing you can do is be grateful for the time and effort they have put into their work.
That being said, it is the developer's own prerogative how much time and effort they spend on the project. You as the end user are NOT entitled to updates. DO NOT ask for updates/ETAs/etc; be respectful of the fact that each developer's time is their own. You did not pay for the software, and they owe you nothing.
I highly recommend you read and review the Forum Etiquette linked in my signature.

We may not have a written rule specifically against requests, but this falls largely into the rules on disrespect:
2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing and this does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is unacceptable. Treat new members in the manner in which you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instructions when you can, showing them respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.

As I pointed out in my post above, you need to remember that development projects shared on XDA are essentially hobbies. We do not allow paid software, so the developers are sharing their work for free. Because the software is free, this means that you are NOT entitled to updates, fixes, or even support. If you had specifically contracted someone to build you a ROM with an update timeline laid out in said contract, that would be different - but the point is moot because again, paid software is not permitted here.
The bottom line: It is rude to ask for updates when you're using something that someone developed on their own. If you can't wait for updates, I concur with @ShaDisNX255 - you should learn to build it yourself.
Be grateful for the fact that someone shared their hobby with you, but remember that because they shared it for free, they owe you nothing.

Does the option to set the minimum refresh rate to 90Hz exist? Because on the default 60Hz the UI feels sluggish, and I don't want to set the minimum refresh rate to 120Hz because I think it would use more battery.
