[MODULE][MAGISK] Long camera start fix for Mi A1 - Xiaomi Mi A1 Themes, Apps, and Mods

This is a very simple module that fixes long camera start on Mi A1 without making your system insecure by forcing permissive SELinux mode or using permissive domains.
Github repo: https://github.com/Flex1911/tissot-camera-delay-fix

It's working. Thanks!

double check, may be 2 restart

I tried it again. This module turns off multiple modules. For example, Xposed framework and fingerprint wakeup. Unusable for me.

Yay! Your here @flex1911. So good to see you doing work for Mi A1. I was also a user of you LOS 14.1 for Asus Zenfone 5 which is still working. Hope to see more from you. Keep up the good work bro.

Thanks for sharing @flex1911, I took the necessary command and put it into Tasker as a startup task and it works fine as well. Those who have issues using Magisk module can try this approach..

Thank you so much buddy ?

Thanks buddy.

For me Clean flashing stock rom with February update fixed the problem.

Tried
Code:
magiskpolicy --live "permissive camera_prop"
magiskpolicy --live "permissive hal_camera_default"
Both didn't fix any lag.
Also tried
Code:
magiskpolicy --live "allow hal_camera_default surfaceflinger_service service_manager find"
That also didn't fix any lag.

Its ?% working

Works perfect.
Thanks !

It works fine and does not break xposed or the fingerprint wakeup.

Issues building AOSP KK

Hello guys,
I'm starting this new topic because I'm having problems trying to build AOSP image of KK from Sony's tutorial.
I've synced android's 4.4.4 tree succesfully (I guess because when I follow the tutorial, in this step: repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest -b android-4.4.4_r2, I have an issue: please see my first two pictures attached) but when I try to git cherry-pick (Add necessary patches from the AOSP upstream branch) I get another error (please, see the next picture attached).
Can anybody help me to succesfully create the ISOs so I can flash it and have vanilla Android?
Thank you very much!!
git already show you error:
fatal: unable to auto-detect email address.
Click to collapse
Try:
Code:
git config --global user.email "[email protected]"
git config --global user.name "Your.Name"
EDIT: In future: please translate git errors. Not everyone in here uses spanish
Did command repo sync finished successfully? It should work for a pretty long time because its long list of files to download...
Ups, sorry! I'll take a look and translate it into English the next time. I'm sorry!
I've managed to fix that bug changing the device's name. Now it detects my email adress.
The repo in sync succesfully. The problem I have right now is the "git cherry-pick" because it seems not to be working (the one that shows in the last picture I attached).
I hope I can get a fix soon. Thanks for answering!

Ok, so i've go through tutorial on sony developer webpage and i've built an images without errors - are you certain that nothing modified your files?
I can upload image files if you want to try, but for now its not ready for everyday work - speakers (probably mic too), camera and nfc is not working.

Hello, this rom has a very good performance in games is the best rom I've ever used for s4, the only problem is that the other day I went to see my balances at the operator, I did not hear a voice that I could not hear. Only problem is that the connection accepts the connection, but you can not hear the people on the other side of the line as if it solves this. Thank you very much for your attention.

Can anyone confirm that this is compatible for the g920i?
Tested this on my SM-G925T, using the AOKP edge kernel.
Working:
Phone calls (G92xF)
SMS/MMS
Mobile Data
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth (audio included, including showing device battery life!)
Front panel buttons (lighting as well)
Fingerprint
Camera
Screen brightness (auto, manual)
Not working (WIP):
Phone calls (G92xT/W8)
Untested:
NFC
Wireless charging
Fast charging
I'll keep updating this as I test newer builds.

What an amazing ROM! Thanks for your hard work @xCopyrightPvP. One simple problem though. I can't seem to update the superSU binary. Installation fails in normal mode. And in TWRP although I've flashed the "addonsu-arm64-signed.zip", the same error still persists.
Edit: Just solved the issue by flashing the latest SuperSU zip. Hope you will add support for dual-sim devices. Thanks!
Any bugs on the SM-G900F?
When will the kernel update for edge?

Any resolution for the sensor issue? I bought 3 of these tablets (for kids) and seem to be having this issue with 2 of them. They wouldn't auto-rotate, so I ran the sensor test, and the accelerometer (as well as compass, etc.) is not detected on both of them. The other one works fine.
Oddly, I've tried flashing back to the marshmallow stock images I've found in this forum, and the problem is still there. None of the custom images I've tried work either.
I'm not sure for certain whether the sensors worked when I got the tablets, but it would seem odd that two of them would have the exact same hardware problem. So I assume there's an incompatibility between the sensor hardware and the images I'm flashing?

Mi A2 LITE - I am searching for a dump of 9.6.2.0

In Italy (where I am living) there is an important issue about 2° SIM slot
After the last update (9.6.4.0) it is not running well: the SIM introduced has not been recognized
This is the reason for which I am searching for previous version
Is there any possibility to find it ?
Thanks a lot

Only Xiaomi could provide a link to download it.
Or, it could be possible to dump the partitions from a phone that still runs on that version, by unlocking its bootloader and using some terminal commands and/or adb. But it's a headache doing so.

A friend of mine has a device that is running 9.6.2.0 but at now it has bootloader locked ...
Unfortunately the unlocking comes with a full data wipe and so ... I am managing with it the thing ...
My idea is hot boot to custom recovery the device running 9.6.2.0 and perform only a system nandroid backup and flash it to the device that is running 9.6.4.0
Is it a bad idea ??

I don't know, it should work but I don't know if the radio partitions (probably the only partitions that could fix the bug) are included in the nandroid backup.

Another remote possibility is that your phone was on 9.6.2.0, then you updated via OTA to 9.6.4.0 and you stopped updating. Only in that case, in the inactive slot there will be still the 9.6.2.0 versions of the partitions.

It's a treble ROM, like this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/development/9-0-pixelexperience-p-unofficial-t3840551
But as it doesn't touch the radio partitions (only the system partition), I doubt it will resolve.
But many settings are stored on /system, maybe... Give it a try if you can.
I have an issue like that.. but in my case none of the two slots recognize my sim card, I'm from México. How do you think I can fix this?
I have 10 days with this problem, tried 9.6.4.0, 9.6.6.0, 9.6.8.0 and some of the GSI ROMS and none of that seems to fix the issue.

I have not direct experience (I am helping some guys owners of this device that are facing this issue)
They say that the issue was absent with firmware version 9.6.2.0 that was bundled in purchased device

Hi, I confirm it.
In early August I bought a MI A2 lite in Italy that came out with V.9.6.2.0 stock firmware.
I updated it immediately via OTA to V.9.6.4.0, but I used it with one sim (SIM 1 slot) only for some days,
When I inserted an additional sim in slot 2 I experienced the problem, but thinking of an hardware failure, I was able to get it replaced by store.
In the meantime I read about this bug and my second MI A2 Lite wasn't updated at all, and is currently running on V.9.6.2.0 yet, without problems.
Tried to open a bug report to xiaomi but I had no useful answers (yet) but a standard reply from some indian people, I guess, from a self naming "MIUI bug hunter team":
