What is your experience with H93210d Update - LG V30 Guides, News, & Discussion

I used LG bridge to update to 10d and the file was 3gb! Pretty big for just a security patch! Anyhow, ive noticed my ram management and wifi and 4G signal got worse! I'll go from 1.6gb of ram available to like 700-800ish within minutes! And thats my normal use to were before it would always stay above 1gb even with heavy use! And my wifi/4g data connections are like using H+[emoji19]! Downloads, connection etc. takes longer than normal! Even sending sms/mms take longer to go through! Other than those few things, everything else seems normal!
So tell me if you've noticed anything different! Good or bad!
Attached is my ram after clearing everything and just writing this post!

Maybe a factory reset could help. I havent gotten the update myself to experience your issues. Also backup your data using lg mobile switch.

Facebook showing GPS usage when it's disabled (4.2.1)?

Why does the GPS area in the screenshot show over 90 minutes of usage when I have GPS turned off? Any ideas?

Facebook has been long known to be a poorly coded app (even the newest version) I've stuck to using the browser only because it's so buggy. I'd chalk it up to that...
Turn location off inside settings of app.

The lastest build of their app is by far the worst I have used personally. Someone posted an older build which does not have as many features, but it is way less buggy.
LMK if you want a link.

Another update in play store but I'm gonna pass...
same issue!
im seeing the same problem on my phone now, simply annoying. its my #1 battery drain even without using the phone or app.
app can be completely off, not on process list, gps turned off, location turned off in app, still goes up! might start using the mobile site instead of app.... until this can be fixed

That's exactly what was happening with my phone. I've been using the app that dschreiber69 provided earlier in this thread, but because Facebook eats so much battery on this phone I haven't been using it much anymore. Furthermore, I haven't been using Facebook much on either my phone or a computer. I'm getting sick of it, same crap every day. Nothing new. Blah.

EBay app using 15gb?!

I was just checking my data coverage this month and noticed that my eBay app has used over 15gb of data as well as a few other apps on there that seem quote high in usage. I rarely use them and notice they only use so much on wifi...
What's causing this and how can I keep tabs on it?

I checked my data usage with ebay and found some 200 kb. So there is something wrong. Maybe you have loaded too many big pictures. Delete the app and reinstall directly from play store.

the other apps are pretty heavy in data usage as well which is confusing me as well. 700mb for kernel tweaker?!
2.5GB on urban dictionary? You can load the UD website 2,500 times for that,,,
delete it or if it doesnt stop, factory reset the phone, seem like you caught some kind of malware?

[Q] note 4 battery drain /overheating

Hey all. I'm currently using note 4 all stock TouchWiz, and I've noticed these of the past few weeks that my phone has begun to become much hotter slower and have decreased battery life. The battery life was initially worse just downloading lollipop, but over the past couple weeks it's gotten much worse. I have seen that some people have benefited from doing a full factory reset on the phone, I'm just wondering if I could maybe avoid that. Any suggestions? I included a screenshot from my phone today, where Android system took up 15% of my battery. It seems that some unknown entity took up 46 percent on battery as you can see from the percentages listed. I've tried to look and see if there's anything that seems to be draining it with various apps but haven't been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.
IMO, you answered your own question. Yes you should factory reset. Reason is your /data partition file system is mixed KitKat and Lollipop.
Hard to say what the battery drain is specifically. Your Connections Optimizer and Google Services use is high. Don't need the Connections Optimizer since what? Stock Gingerbread maybe? LOL; sorry, had to ask. IMO, Android has been more capable since then if not before.

Thanks for the response. I have no idea why my Google services is so high, but that was a major cause of my battery drain on my gs3 prior to my note 4 as well. As for connections optimizer, is there a way to disable it?

You'll find Connections Optimizer in Settings/More networks/Mobile networks.
For Google Services, I used a tool "MyAndroidTools" in Google Play to disable some services per this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60023591&postcount=1
There's also an app I just found that sounds interesting https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playfulgeeks.gservicefix
Try one of those after a factory reset.

Anyone get weird graphical glitches in Gmail app?

Attached a screenshot. This has been happening for a couple months now, maybe a bit longer.
I don't think it's a hardware issue as it really only happens in the Gmail app. Also, not sure it would be captured via screenshot if it was some kind of loose connection.
Doesn't happen anywhere else that I can think of off hand. Lasts for about a second then clears up on its own.
It has persisted over a couple builds at least. Some from clean installs as well. I root the phone straight away, so next time I'll try stock for a bit to rule any of that out.
Hoping it's not just me.

Yep, same bug here and only with Gmail app http://imgur.com/rjAZE9J
Yep, I'm getting the same
Those occur for me as well, that's why inbox is my choice of app
I was getting to. I sideloaded the march ota yesterday (that has the performance fixes) and it is no longer occuring. Not sure if the two are related, but that is the only change thing that has changed for me. Was definitely annoying..
Had the same on 6.0.1, moved to android N and t desapired

unfortunately only with Android N the problem goes away, with MHC19J is still present
Glad I'm not the only one and my device isn't defective. It's a minor annoyance knowing that now.
Happening to me as well, on stock. Haven't gotten the March ota yet.

Weird. Definitely gone for me after applying the March ota. Did you wipe the cache partition after applying the update? I always do after any update.

flash-all.bat every Factory Image.
If you have not yet seen the glitching on the MHC19J, not try to reproduce it with open/close Gmail, closing all recent apps and re-open Gmail... because you could have a nasty surprise

Messenger and Whatsapp calls not working ONLY on mobile data

Hey guys.. a bit of na issue here.
I was abroad and had my roaming on (NO DATA only calls and SMS)
When I returned back home and turned on my data my Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp calls are not working on Mobile data. They work just fine on Wi-FI but not on data.
My APN is configured as it should be (checked that with my provider).
Any thoughts, advice?

good point. I have hangouts since I have gmail anyway.
i'm sure you've checked you have remaining transfer.
1. i'd turn on mobile data, turn the phone off, reinsert sim, turn on.
2. if not - reset network settings.
3. if not - https://www.maketecheasier.com/fix-cellular-data-not-working-on-android/
i'd try 1, 3, 2.
Transfer (balance) checked.
Reinserted SIM. SInce it's dual sim I tried the second one. The second one is working (it's a different provider). Tried swapping cards and the issue follows card.
Reset network settings to no avail.
Tried changing APN to no avail.
Carrier keeps telling me they can't do anything. I'm thinking of doing a factory reset but I don't want to brick my phone.
Anything else I could try?
Check your settings according to mine which work fine.
