It is Nougat. Not really.
I was actually just reading about this rom a couple of days ago and was interested in testing out. It's like you read my mind to port it over! Going to test it out and report back. Thanks.
I've tried it and for now it is the most feature rich ROM I've experienced on ether but power drop at 50% and while using camera battery was draining so quickly also ui lags while scrolling was weird so I switched to Omni again. Hope it'll be fixed in the next build.
Thanks for porting a new ROM for Robin.

I also noticed high battery consumption. But it's also the first time that I did not do anything on the kernel or device tree as usual. I have to try another Rom with this new LOS blobs.
Battery life seems comparable to most LOS roms for me, but I did notice scrolling lag was quite prominent.

I've also tried it with Pop kernel but it doesn't boot up.
We're waiting for Oreo, any guesses for that.

Pop needs an update. Los has changed a lot in the last few weeks.

You can try activating the scroll cache under the Animations category. It is disabled by default. Maybe this helps.

This build has pop, but scrolling lag is still there.
There is also no browser pre-included, as you removed Via, Music App seems to be the same, nothing changed.
But it gave me 4 hrs+ SoT which was pretty good.
Thanks for the Rom, I'm going to try 'yaospa' update.

I feel a browser in a Rom as bloatware. A matter of taste. Now everyone can decide for themselves and install the browser via the Playstore. Yes, I had previously swapped the music app. I just wanted to make it somehow recognizable. The same decision as the browser. That's why Retro was removed. Personally, I really like the Eleven Player and I add that because it's not in Playstore. As for the scrolling lag, I think it's due to recent changes from the LOS device tree. I don't want to put much energy into nougat anymore because I am optimistic that we will soon see Oreo on our device.

I've heard great things about pop improving battery life, pumped to try it out. Few Noob Questions tho,
1. If I clean flash this ROM, will it have pop kernel by default?
2. Will using things like glassfish with ex kernel manager on Pop help improve battery life?
3. I love your work and thanks for being so active in the ether community.

Yes, I can only recommend the Pop Kernel. Unlike me, @linckandrea really knows what he's doing.
But to your questions...
1. Yes, Pop Kernel is default. By the way, after my Rom update there was another update from the Pop Kernel. You can flash it on top without problem.

2. Yes, it can. But it also depends on your user behavior. You should just try a few things and then watch what works best for you.

I've tried it and it's smooth like other Oreo Roms but camera app freezes(with third party apps also), hope it'll be fixed soon.
I also want to ask that why I can't make voice calls in any Oreo ROM, is there any solution to this Volte problem?

There is a switch in "settings -> extensions -> system -> buttons" for enabling/disabling home button wake. It is grayed out and unusable.

I really like AICP too, but after using this for a few days there is just something about it that I really like. Runs nice and smooth as well.

Nothing special in this firmware. Translation Russian 60-70%, do Not disable the backlight buttons. Very similar to the crude RR , but RESURRECTION REMIX N 5.8.2 much better. (Google translation)

Yeah, AOSPExtended has a thread template that I used. I tried to remove things that were irrelevant to us. I forgot that. I'll remove it later. This is only if this were an official release.

Deine Rom läuft soweit gut, aber das Backlight lässt sich nicht
abschalten. Selbst Divinebeats lässt sich inst. und funktioniert

I'm using Pico gapps without issue..
There are some gapps that fail to install system webview
Check it on developer menu do you have chrome stable under webview serting?

Your 4.6 rom is the only reason I still use my vs980 phone. In fact I am afraid to use any other device because it just continues to work with no frills. I try other roms, and they slow with age, have poor battery life, or just plain have issues. Not with AEX. Thank you very much for the continued support of the G2 and the work that you do!
just installed this over stock... i have used AEX 4.6 before stock as well...
device is d802 (16gb) - open gapps pico (8.1) - carrier Tele2 Croatia...
here are my observations so far:
- having problems with freezing apps in Titanium Backup (they can't freeze eventhough Titanium reports a toast message like they were frozen)
- uninstalling apps with Titanium works, but it somehow leaves some blank data in the device (don't know how else to explain that)
- mobile signal jumps up and down (i had this "issue" on older AEX as well)
- charging jumps from slow (400-500mAH) to quick (1500-1600mAh) (using 2.1/3.1 amp charger)
- external usb/otg stick works for a while then it disconnects itself (icon is no longer shown in the status bar and usb/otg stick isn't recognized in file manager)
- didn't test the camera, sound and calls yet (but i assume the camera is the same quality as on the older AEX roms > meaning worse than stock, but that's usual for non-stock roms newer than lollipop)
the rom feels fluid as hell (in a positive way of course ) - but that was expected from AEX & YoDevil work...

one additional thing i've noticed while playing a game (NFS No Limits) - the game runs perfectly smooth (well, at least smooth enough for a 4 year old device), but the sound has a small delay (it's not a big issue, but that wasn't happening on stock rom as i recall)
btw i went to bed with some 68% battery - woke up today, 8 hrs after with 61% - not bad at all...

issues like what?
i have only the clock and alarm on the lockscreen and it works ok... i have also removed all the quick access icons from it...
btw another thing - the camera:
- camera menu doesn't work well in landscape mode (slow menu scrolling, specific items can't be selected - it selects an item much above the wanted one)
i know this is not the exact place to ask and i know we miss the proper LG camera libs/drivers from Lollipop above - but can't the camera image quality be a bit better at least on this AOSP/AOKP roms?
images seem like they're overcompressed and blurry somehow, eventhough you select the high quality in camera settings... exposure and contrast seem ok, but what kills the image is that overcompression (or what not)

Issues in setting a lock pattern (pin, password, or whatever) or unlocking.
There is still some work to do on Camera, but i don't think we'll be able to improve picture quality.

i can't report about those lockscreen issues because i use only simple slide to unlock...
i know we can't improve the camera much - it was just a general "rant"

I just notice that there is a problem with unlocking if you have expanded desktop activated.
With expanded desktop there is problem with waking up device from deep sleep. You need to spam unlock button to turn screen on.
Maybe someone test that too and confirm.

No issues here, using Pin code and face unlock.
Does anybody know if one handed mode is enabled in this rom? also, I know switching between lte and 3g doesn't work but does 3g work well?

I left my phone idle with a USB stick connected for 1+ hour, couldn't experience this.
Were you reading/writing off of it when it disconnected?

Q. How to disable "Apps running in background" dialog?
A. When you see the dialog, long press on it and select "Settings". From there, you'll have a toggle to disable it.
Q. Which Models are supported?
A. So far it works well on the H930(G), US998, VS996 and LS998. Other models may have broken RIL or bootloop. Im open for solutions regarding that.
Q. Why is my phone restarting during the Setup? Or early after it booted?
A. If you use a MicroSD in exfat, that can be the cause. The exfat drivers are for some reason really picky when it comes to that. Change to ext4 or NTFS or so.

Made from the same device tree and so on like los and the others :/
if i figure out why yours wont work, and i manage to fix it, all will work. But cant guarantee for anything now :/
Trying my best, have logs already, but stress in university + wanna fix other small bugs too (e.g vibration ****ing up after a while, maybe fmradio and so on)
Tbh, more devs for the other models would be nice ?

Clean install coming from us998 8.0 oreo rom - twrp 3.2.1 + pico gapps + magisk 16.4.
So far I am only able to flash "stock" h930 and us998 lg based roms. Not sure if that helps.

I'm currently using a vs996 and there is a slight bug, not sure how or why it happens, but whenever I have vibration on touch for both nav bar and keyboard, (or vibration on press in general) after a while it transfers some of the vibration to the phones call speaker, and makes a static sound every key press. NOTE: the vibration strength is very week now as well. I'll try to get a logcat of it.

yes it's a well known bug of aosp and los based rom for v30.
it's seems to be related to lg vibrator implmentation. Dev still trying to fix it, but there's no trace in logs
:good: Running this on VS996, correctly converted, def a daily driver for me!! Bluetooth connects nice, however, I seem to be unable to change tracks, or play/pause controls from remote device?? Has anyone else experienced this?? I'm using Poweramp 709 build, and whiskeyomega's awesome mixer file!! Also using OmniSwitch for Oreo!!: cool:
Has anyone had any luck on this ROM and the US998 in utilizing wifi-tethering in a way that blocks usage from restrictive networks such as T-Mobile?
:silly: I've let this rom bake on device, no wipes or reboots!! It's magic!! Bluetooth responds perfectly!! Track forward, backward, play and pause, no issues!! Rom is top notch work!! Thank you SGC Markus!! :good:

The ROM is good, there are no bugs, HWC is present, so why do the applications that use listview have lag?

AOSPEx is unofficial rom at this time and won't appear on the official site. But it's still being developed and latest links are found in the Original post.
Most aosp time are up to date, it's just some don't appear on the official site.
Is fast charging enabled with this unofficial build? I plugged it in with 50% remaining and it showed 1hr until full. Switched to RR and it went to 100% within 20mins or so. Making me believe it's a ROM issue and not the battery.
Hi, sice I have this ROM, I can charge phone to approx. 80% after that, phone says it's fully charged. When I go to TWRP phone can charge to 100% Any idea, how to fix it? Thanks

Why are you asking about LineageOS in here?? This is aospextended.
But I recommend you don't try enabling that feature as it breaks fingerprint in secured apps like paypal
