This kernel is for oreo , PixelExperience is oreo.
So, yes, it can be used for PE.
Been using it for some hours, very good experience so far ??

Camera is very good thanks for work

edit:just worked now

Sorry for the negative feedback Psy_Man but this kernel completely annihilated my existing ROM. massive overheating when plugged in to charge an continual bootlooping? LOS 15.1 is awesome. This is not Followed directions and everything went wrong (one of the risks of custom ROM and kernels). Al;so destroyed my back up and TWRP for oreo (3.2.1.0).
Oh well I'll reinstall. Could not send logcat as entire cell an TWRP became corrupted.
P.S I was using your LOS 15.1 and not PE so that could be why? Pays to read the fine print. Sorry man my bad not yours.

PixelExpiriens. Not working sound. No correcct working Whatsapp.

What happened to you it's not related to kernel. You done something terribly wrong. I am pretty sure coz i am usuing it too and i faced no bugs at all. It makes no difference if you are on LOS or PE. Do a clean flash with Mi Flash Tool and reinstall all.

INTRODUCTION
Psychedelic Kernel is a kernel based on DragonXia sources. Initially developed by @WhyOrean, was forked from @pappschlumpf, who has done a great job. The main goal it's to keep this kernel up to date. We all know the MIUI's stock kernel it's not good: the battery drains a bit faster and the phone gets easily hot. This kernel has a better CPU management, with a lot of features, a lot of governors and optimizations. I would say a big thanks to @WhyOrean: he permitted to me to share this kernel; and another big thanks to @pappschlumpf: he helped me a lot!
FEATURES
- Available for MI 5, MI 5s, MI 5s Plus, MI Mix and MI Note 2
- O3, CFLAGS AND GRAPHITE Optimizations
- Built with UBERTC 5.3
+ Governors: Impulse, Despair, Zzmove, Cultivation, Chill, Cafactive, Darkness, Relaxed, Blu_active, ElementalX, Interactive, Conservative, Ondemand, Powersave, Lionheart, Bioshock and Performance.
+ I/O Schedulers: Noop, Deadline, Cfq, Fiops, Bfq, Zen, Sio, Sioplus, Tripndroid and Maple.
- Hotplug and Lazyplug
- Touch Boost
- Thermal Tweaks
- CPU overclock[QRCODE][/QRCODE] up to 2.42 Ghz
- GPU overclock up to 681 Mhz
- Adreno Idler
- Kcal Controls
- Backlight Dimmer
- Higher backlight value
- Enable/Disable CRC
- Fsync and Dynamnic Fsync
- Gentle Fair Sleepers
- Arch Power saving
+ Suspend Mode: Autosleep, User Space, LCD Panel and Hybrid.

Very nice! I've been waiting for a long time for a miui kernel! Nice job, man!
Support face unlock?
Flashed on current MiUI 9 Xiaomi.EU version on a Mi Note 2...everything is working fine. System seems snappy and i think battery life got even better. I tried running a few benchmarks Geekbench crashes at the end and can't manage to get Antutu over 105000. Before this Kernel score was floating between 120000/135000. Is there some energy saver setting that might be the culprit?
how is the highest and lowest screen brightness?? any screen sharpness etc..?

For me the wifi works great with this kernel ... I'm on 7.9.21 globe rom
Stuck on boot after flashing
Tried this a few times on 7.9.22 (Global beta), couldn't get past the boot screen (i.e. before Android logo). Had to do TWRP restore each time as ROM over-write would not restore.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong, did follow the instructions. Using Magisk 14.0 and Viper loaded by .zip files in TWRP. :crying:
I am using this on the latest mi-globe rom 7.9.21 with Dolby and root . Installed right away , no problems at all , just some lag when you first enter the OS after a restart , that's all. Woks perfect with Cultivation governor and zen IO/Scheduler . Battery life is great , getting around 2 days of medium usage and a little bit of gaming. I wake up at ~8 am fully charged and i'm going to sleep ~ 11 pm with 50-55% left. Performance is great , games are running fine. No overheating issues , the phone is getting a little bit warm when you are gaming , that's all , not getting too hot. I don't know if it's my mobile network around here who is having the problem , but when i open the phone , from deepsleep , sometimes the network is getting around 1 bar of signal , then it switches to a better network reception. It gets sometimes annoying because i get called and the call drops after some time because the network reception changes or it stays on the line till i get again signal...
Great kernel and i hope to get more features in the feature. Thank you @Psy_Man for this great masterpiece :d .

Yeah, it's more likely because of my mobile network in the area. You are right , the kernel doesn't have issues , it's stable

It's good project men thanks
Miui kernel need to be better
Keep going
I will try that...
I deeply appreciate your kernel for mi5, mi5 miui does not have too many kernels , but don't you think 2.45ghz and 681mhz is a little overkill, especially if your after battery , this may ruin the processor due to high voltages especially the most vulnerable is 820 lite variants shipping on 32gb mi5 , and there's also heat to consider

wow miui kernel, thanks for that man! :good:really appreciate your works. can you add flar2 wake gesture like on kenzo? i know you also from kenzo esp your firmware updates. btw, your kernel support spectrum?
waiting your kernel for custom rom too
This kernel seems very good, now i'm wondering, someone can limit the freqs and it will use that max freq? i say because that GPU/CPU Overclock is def. overkill
OC to 2.42Ghz???im surprised
ready to have a try.thanks:good:
Good news for MIUI user,
Sadly I don't use MIUI any more, great OC, I remember use DX 3.8 OC that has 2.5/2.0 Ghz clock.

Hello everyone, this is my personal kernel for the OnePlus 5. While I am not a super star kernel developer, I do know my way around it. Hopefully you enjoy :highfive:
NOTE: This list fluctuates with versions, it will not always been 100% up to date
Here are the major features of the kernel (feel free to explore Github)
Based on GzR kernel
Up to date with the latest stable Linux version (4.4.159)
Up to date with the latest CAF branch (kernel.lnx.4.4.r27-rel)
Mainline patches from Linux, focusing on bug fixes/security
Mainline CFQ scheduler improvements
Several subsystems converted to use power efficient workqueues
Backlight dimmer
KCAL color control
CPU Input Boost driver
Devfreq Boost driver
Sound control
Wakelock control
Westwood as the default TCP algorithm
Built with the latest Google Clang 7.0.2 toolchain
Hides bootloader unlock from SafetyNet (can still fail through other means)
Disables dm-verity
Does NOT modify decryption status
Flashed with AnyKernel2 (thanks to @osm0sis)
Primary: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283181
Through TWRP:
If you are on a custom ROM:
If you are on the kernel that came with your ROM: flash the kernel zip and reboot
If you are on a custom kernel: dirty flash your ROM zip, flash the kernel zip, and reboot
Upgrading from one Reaper version to the other:
Just flash the kernel zip and reboot
1.1 Q: I am having an issue, can you help me?
1.1 A: I am not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue, following this guide. If I can't reproduce reliably, I'm not going to fix the issue.
1.2 Q: What ROMs are compatible with the custom builds?
1.2 A: My daily driver is GZOSP so I test all the builds on this ROM but this kernel should work on other pie ROMs. If you are using a ROM with no issues, let me know and I'll add it here! If you are having issues, following the above steps and I'll attempt to fix whatever incompatibility there is. If I can't do it without breaking GZOSP compatibility, you're out of luck.
1.3 Q: Can you add xyz feature?
1.3 A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I will not go digging super hard for commits and I will ignore requests that don't include this information. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration.
1.4 Q: How do I control the kernel?
1.4 A: I want to be very clear: the kernel does NOT need to be tuned to be useful. Most of the improvements are under the hood and don't require any user intervention to take advantage of them. In fact, if you don't know what you are doing, you could degrade the experience. To control the user visible features of the kernel listed above, I recommend using @flar2's EX Kernel Manager.
1.5 Q: OMFG MY BATTERY SUXXXX PLS FIX!!!
1.5 A: The kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone.
The various other developers for their patches

Added to the OnePlus 5 Index Thread here. Also, a suggestion @FRNKSTN, do include the [KERNEL] tag in the thread title, because at the moment the title doesn't convey whether Reaper is a kernel or a custom ROM.

Boots and is working fine so far on Oreo. Use at your own risk if dev says it's for Pie only.

It's working good still. It should theoretically work fine with Oreo until OnePlus releases Pie or until there are too many Pie specific commits in the kernel.

have you tried the HolyDragon kernel?
(or BluSpark or SmurfKernel?)
how does it compare?
One small bug, the link speed for wifi is always 0.
The wifi works fine though

Tried... Not much of different... But this is fast smooth and very battery friendly... Exactly for battery this is a monster... All kernels are good... Tried even arter97, radioactiv, smurf, ex... Etc... Now staying with this
If I'm on oos 9.0.5 with xXx and Renovation rom with stock kernel all I have to do is flash this kernel zip right? No need to flash the boot image?

Oh... Maybe this is exactly for stable oos? Idk... What version of magisk did you flashed?and what kind of error did you get? Bootloop or maybe Qualcomm crashdump? Or it is rebooting to recovery?
Kernel is pretty smooth but on the balanced profile the big core is at least 25%-30% on the top frequency just when browsing net or chatting WhatsApp. Normally smurf and holydragon doesn't act like this on balanced profile

Did you tried other games? On stock AndroidOne did the game you're describing here runs well?
Saying 'kernel is crap' is really a kind of harsh thing to say, when the developer tried hard to work with it.

Hello, There are a Few Things You Should Keep In Mind...
1. I Dont Own the Device For My Personal Testing. Redmi 6 Pro & MI A2 Lite Share The Same Specs, Hence I Shared My Kernel Work For MI A2 Lite.
2. When Coming to Games, I Usually Play Pubg & On my Device It is Smooth As Butter.
3. And It Should Be Good If You Mind, What You Speak. Saying Something Crap Isnt a Good Deal. First Let Your Main Devs Get a Fully Stable Tree With 4.9 Stuff On To It.
4. YOU ARE FREE TO NOT USE IT IF U DID NOT LIKE IT
Simple. BTW Thanks mate!
