Hello. Thank you for this build. I've installed it, Everything seems to be running as it should, except the battery. The draining is greater than usual as when you install a new ROM. And charging the phone is also taking longer than usual. From 100% to 10% in four hours, and about 30 minutes of SOT and almost no activity.
Other than that, it is running fine. I've installed Xposed, Magisk and substratum with no issue.
Thank you again.

I got an error installing:
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/Flash/lineage-15.1-20180213-UNOFFICIAL-lux.zip'
Do I need a specific version of TWRP? I'm using 3.1.1-r1
I'm sorry, I just updated to TWRP 3.2.1-r1 and it's flashing properly. I'll report back later with the ROM status.

Can confirm insane battery drain. Also the NFC bug.

XenonHD dev had mentioned about it in that thread. The NFC service keeps toggling on and off automatically. Sometimes you won't be able to turn it off. As I don't need NFC, i disabled the NFC app and it's services.

Also experiencing bad battery drain. Nice and smooth, though

I uninstalled (like others have recommended on other Oreo 8.1 forums for the X Play) com.android.nfc and battery life has increased. But more importantly, the phone is running cooler than before.

Hello. Is there a link how to uninstall NFC? Same problem here. NFC turns on and off, no way to disable the service, button not active.
I charged the battery for 3 hours last night, but this morning the battery was at 17%, phone much warmer than normal.
In airplane mode it charges the battery normally. Disabling nfc seems to work in airplane mode.
I renamed system\app\nfcnci\nfcnci.apk to nfcnci.apk.bak. After reboot, there is no more nfc service shown under system apps. Is that the right way to disable nfc?
I will now charge the battery without airplane mode, observe the behavior and then report again.
Thanks a lot.
Edit:
The battery was charged normally fast. No comparison to before.
The smartphone stays cool. There is no noticeable excessive heat development in the standby.
No more battery drain.

Has there been a fix of mic not working on speaker mode?

One day later:
About 0,5 - 1% per hour, standby with wlan and cellular radio. Runs perfect without reboots, no freeze, stable, fast.
Is it possible to reward the good work of the programmers?

OpenGapps
Used MindTheGapps-8.1.0 from Linageos Site.
Did someone try OpenGapps 8.1?

Can confirm this stopped the battery drain

Open gapps 8.1
I installed official open gapps 8.1 pico. No problems.

[Q] Battery drain on 2.19????

Am i the only one who is facing immense battery drain on the latest update 2.19????
When i was on 2.18, battery life was much stable for me, but ever since i got the 2.19 update, the battery drains about 10% overnight.
Sometimes, it is even large.
So i just wanted to ask whether it is just me or everyone is facing these issues???

Its even worse than my 2300mAh device.
I still hope that Asus remembers the battery bug. They have released OTA's, but they have introduced many more bugs.
From what i have read so far, the kernel is faulty. Now that we have our bootloaders unlocked, we can expect a good Dev to debug and recompile the kernel.
AOSP Android should come soon to Zenfone 2
Try clearing cache. Go to autostart manager and stop apps you don't use from starting at boot. In battery settings change your power management profile to smart saving or custom if you know what you're doing.
I keep Bluetooth, NFC, sync and location on always and don't face battery issues.
I haven't been having battery issues. I uninstalled most of the junk apps, so I wonder if you're seeing something from one of those.
Install GSam Battery Monitor and check on your app usage after a while.
on the 2.19 OTA, I left my phone idle for an hour and it drained 5% battery. Yikes!
Okay, So i got the culprit.
I have 2 Sims Installed. 1st one is a local Sim. Whereas the Second one is a Roaming one (National Roaming, not international) with a big "R" besides it.
So i just disabled the Second Roaming Sim from Dual Sim Settings, And bingo!!!. Battery drain stopped. The device seems to be constantly searching for a local network on the second sim.
Additionally, If you read the release note of the 2.19 OTA. You will see:-
7 Improve service stability
10 Improve signal bar stability for sim 2
Click to collapse
So, i guess, that Asus improved the SIm 2 slot stability, which probably is forcing my device to constantly find a stable or local network.
Now i have Manually selected my operator. Lets See! :fingers-crossed:

Same here. Though i have not Rooted. I just uninstalled the apps that were uninstallable.
Will give Gsam a shot. Ty for the App suggestion.
I too am facing the battery issues and the other thing is that sometimes just randomly the 2nd sim stops working with the message that it's not installed...
So if the analysis is that it's the apps which drain it then can someone share a debloated rom... Got the bootloader unlocked for the TWRP now might as well use it..
2.18 was rough for me. After 4 complete charges it stabilized. Updated to 2.19, rooted, bootloader unlocked, and TWRP installed yesterday. 100% charge at 9pm last night. This morning at 6am it was down to 91%. Approximately 50 minutes of pandora streaming over cell data this morning and its down to 81% now. Until a fix or CM is released, I take my charger wherever I go.

LG Optimus G Pro CM12(5.0.2) AND BLISSPOP(5.1.1) Battery Drain (msm_hsic_host). Why?!

Hello All
I recently flashed the CM12 release of Lollipop on my rooted LG Optimus G Pro E980.
Everything works fine. However, the battery drain due to msm_hsic_host is confusing to say the least.
This is supposed to be mobile network related, and I have read forums where people say that this goes away when the mobile network is shut. However, for me, I am at home and only using WiFi. The mobile data is OFF.
I went to sleep for about 8 hours and I woke up to find msm_hsic_host had using about 80% and the phone was only in deep sleep for less than 1% of the time.
The phone NEVER goes into deep sleep. Deep sleep contribution is only about 1% ! Why is this happening?
Also, NOTE that the CPU Frequency stays at 384 MHz for 90% of the time! In the picture, it shows as 69% because it was taken a few minutes after a reboot. What does this mean?
Battery Kernel wakeock screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/k6s0gl5s7/
Battery System Monitor screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/tq1pa1taf/
I have already hibernated Facebook, Skype, and another networking app. I am just lost. Why is the msm_hsic_host wakelock ON about 80% of the time?
Have you tried to disable google location services by setting it to GPS only? Disabling all sync? Also, try another CM build, or BlissPop.

Hi, Location Services was off. I turned off Sync and after 4.5 hours, msm_hsic_host is still at 87%.
My mobile data is off.
How to solve this?
To future readers;
I went back to my STOCK ROM on LG Optimus G Pro (LG E980 - Android 4.4.2) just to test this and the most remarkable thing happened.
The phone is mostly on Deep Sleep and msm_hsic_host is in 1%.
Therefore, I can conclude that the battery drain is a serious issue in CM12 (Android 5.0.2) ROM. Could some developers please take a look at this issue?
Here is the proof
Kernel Wakelock: http://postimg.org/image/e954b9kt5/
System Monitor: http://postimg.org/image/cstlt4hw9/
I am about to try Blisspop ROM 5.1 for LG E980 next to see if this issue persists.
I installed Blisspop 3.6 now (Android 5.1.1) - However, following the exact same steps for installing BetterBatteryStats v 2.1 - it just wont't work.
It says, successfully installed as System App. Please reboot.
After reboot, the app says, "This is a companion app to BetterBatteryStats. It was copied to /system and stays there to grant permissions that can only be granted to system apps. This app has no functionality at all. You may need to reinstall BBS to get access to the app."
I even uninstalled and reinstalled using the recovery ZIP.
Has anyone tested BetterBatteryStats ob BLISSPOP 3.6? Please help.
Regards
Have you installed mad Mack's modem? Battery drain is a major issue for lp5.0.2, reason why Google releases 5.1.1 to fix the battery drain problem. However, 5.1.1 is may be only slightly improves the battery life. If you can get your service to deep sleep, then at least you can conserve some juice and keep it cool. Otherwise your phone is going to stay hot most of the time.

I have installed 5.1.1 with BLISSPOP 3.6. However, still the phone only gets to deep sleep 2% of the time. In my stock ROM (4.4.2), the deep sleep was on 80% of the time. I don't know why this is happening. This is very bad.
Could you please point me to "mad Mack's modem"? Which one to flash? Where is the link? Should this be done after installing Lollipop?
Even worse now BetterBatteryStats apk does not install on 5.1.1 Blisspop.
Regards
Unresolved
To future readers;
I finally managed to install Better Battery Stats and unsurprisingly, msm_hsic_host still dominates. 70%.
System deep sleep is about 2% of the time.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Check out page 1, it has some interesting tips on how to make your device go into the deep sleep. The link to madmack's modem is also in there. But before you begin, is your device e980? That modern is only intended for e980. So if you have something else, don't flash it.

I've done everything there. The modem in that thread is for CM10.2 and CM11 and the whole post is from 2014. Do you think it's normal to expect that to be compatible with the latest Blisspop ROM?
It works with cm12.x as well, I have seen many other cm12.x people use it as proof. Read the blisspop thread if you need verification. Though I have been told that it's optional on cm12 if your device can get deep sleep without it. As for me, it made my phone got that deep sleep I needed when I was using bp3.6.

Getting very bad battery life on Nougat

Hello Everyone,
So from last week I have tried 5-6 different nougat ROMs (OSS Open beta 9/10, Official RR, RR by Eliminator)
am getting very bad battery drain like 18% per hour while phone idle. Also, Phone is warm to touch.
I tried to switch back to ext4 format that didn't help.
Also, I have no apps installed, no sim card, I did use SuperSU 2.79 with OSS.
I formatted data partition before installing every ROM
But somehow with EmotionOS I am getting good battery life and only 0.29% battery drain while idle.
Edit: I'm getting same results with CM13.

1. It is still a known issue. OnePlus will release a newer update (v4.0.2) the following week.
2. Of course, it wouldn't help. The only thing that F2FS has an advantage over EXT4 is slightly better read and write speeds (if I'm not wrong).
3. Use stable SuperSU v2.79 only. SR1 and SR2 are known to be battery drainers. Even though, they are not the real cause for it.
4. Some users it help and for some it didn't.
P.S. continue using EmotionOS or Freedom OS (I currently use) to get good battery life for now.

That's correct. I have my current ROM (Freedom OS v2.1.1 - based on OOS v4.0.1) and I have 5-6 hours of SOT.
It's worse than (Freedom OS v1.7 - based on OOS v3.2.8) which I had 6-7 hours of SOT.
But, let him decide the right ROM for him (no offense though). Maybe he wanted to test them all, I don't know.
Nougat is not very stable at all right now. I'm waiting for OOS v4.0.2 the following week. I hope it fixes 95% of the problems users experience.
Clean install and see if the issue persists without any apps installed.

You guys that do not do clean installs are the ones that generally have problems from old residual data that can cause a variety of issues. However, if you do a clean install, you will find that many of these problems go away. It helps to use the roms the way they were designed and used in the lab. I always wipe everything and do a totally clean install and I had never had these problems.

Normal users do OTA updates all the time, which are the norm - that's not a clean install, and it is how they were designed.
Same here Android OS and system drain is very high

It is also the majority of these people that have problems. Why do you think the number one response to troubleshooting any device is to a factory reset? That is because it wipes old data.

High held awake time and battery drain

So my battery on my phone seems to suck... I just made a full wipe clean install of ICE Rom 3.5.0 with cleanslate kernel, balanced pnp profile v. 22, magisk root and got a whooping battery loss of around 30 percent overnight!
I was using stock before and had around 20 battery loss overnight, which sucks and is the reason i wanted to try a custom rom.
My phone is already 4 months old and I did a battery diagnosis, which ended with 94 percent (which is good right?).
Can anyone please help me?
I don't have Facebook or Facebook messenger installed, turned of WiFi and Bluetooth Scan and Location Services.
And I'm using Greenify, although I didn't greenify any apps yet

What email app are you using? How have you got it synced? See how many times it wakes your device using Gsam or some similar app. This was my battery drainer (I use Bluemail). Anyway, check that out first.
20% battery loss overnight is horrible. Something is not set up correctly or is misbehaving.
Reboot your device and let it set for 2 minutes. Now go to System/Settings/Developer options and select Running Services. Everything look OK there?
I cant see your screenshot.

I cant see your screenshot.

Here they are again - does this work?

Yes, I lost the same amount although I had the phone in flight AND extreme energy saver mode...
I'm facing the same problem after i updated my Firmware to 2.28.617.6. My Battery Usage show 45% of ANDROID OS an 39% of ANDROID SYSTEM, I'm already tried Viper 4.1, 4.3, 4.5, 5, 5.1, all with the same problem.
I updated firmware using RUU.exe, and i already updated firmware again to 2.41.401.3 with RUU again. Same problem
I realized the problem is not with rom, all of then, stock or custom, show the same situation. Its a firmware problem with Nougat
My phone is a Unlocked version, with S-ON
Any help?
I would perform a full wipe (+data!). Reinstall your Rom freshly, and the problem should be gone.

I'm already did that, all ROM's installs i did with a clean install.
With no one third app installed, the problem persists
i'm already tested turn of wifi, bluetooth, location, put phone on save battery mode, restart all permissions
Nothing helped
The main question is thats something who did not let phone enter in deep sleep
Yeah I've got the same problem with Android OS and Android System (the wakelocks are HVDCPD_WL and NETLINK) keeping the phone awake and preventing deep sleep almost 100% of the time, which is absolutely killing my battery life.
Frustratingly, the problem is not solved with a full wipe + reflash of any ROM. I originally had the problem sometime after the stock 7.0 OTA upgrade, at which point I unlocked the boot loader, flashed Maximus HD, then the problem went away for about a month until just returning a couple days ago. I've tried flashing the latest Maximus HD, Viper, but nothing is fixing it so far.
I bet it's some kind of hardware issue. I'm almost at the point of giving up and getting a OnePlus 3.
Just sharing my experience: I tried every Sense-based ROM I could find, problem of phone not going to sleep persisted. Even tried RUU to latest 2.41.617.3, which of course wipes absolutely everything - same problem, phone not going to sleep. As last ditch attempt, flashed the LineageOS Jan 28th nightly, and the problem is gone. Phone sleeping properly and battery life is back to normal. Not sure if coincidence or what... Going to stay on Lineage for a while as it works pretty well, but will go back and try Sense again in a couple weeks maybe.
This issue started to affect my phone while still on Marshmallow, around 3 weeks ago. It felt like it started after updating an app. This is what prompted me to update to Nougat. However, the issue persisted, even with full wipes, and even with LineageOS installed.
Moving from stock ROM to LineageOS has reduced battery drain from 10% per hour, to 5%.
Airplane mode and battery saver mode makes no difference to the drain. Neither does any WiFi and GPS setting changes - I have already read about a few possible "causes".
Perhaps the only option is S-OFF and re-flash all partitions of the phone?

Running a RUU would be your best option. This will wipe the phone and restore the stock ROM (system, firmware, etc).
Have you looked at wakelocks or app usage to see if there is any unusually high usages? I had a problem with my 10 awhile back that ended up being a particular version of Google Play Services. Usually these issues can be traced to a particular app or setting, it's just a matter of knowing what to look for.
Ohio wake_lock and no deep sleep. Same issue after reflash ruu, lineage, viper... on all roms same issue and no deep sleep. I think it's hardware issue. I try to flash elementalx kernel and it fixed problem for a day, one day only. Worst phone ever for me.

My phone is already 4 months old and I did a battery diagnosis, which ended with 94 percent (which is good right?

How do you make a battery diagnosis?
Hi, since about a month I've been having the same issue, the kernel HVDCPD_WL and NETLINK wakelocks are keeping the CPU in use and consuming the battery charge at a rate of about 10%/hour. Has anybody got any new info on this? I read of someone that claims of having fixed it by cleaning the usb-c port, but in my case it doesn't seem to make any difference.

*job.deadline* Android wakelock

Hi everybody,
Does anyone have the same wakelock?
Nearly 3 wakelocks/min and only 3h30 SOT at 17% of battery
I already searched to find informations about this, but I have no answer..
Thank you all
Yes,same issue here
Yep, same here, although still managing to get around 80-90% deep sleep
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I've never seen this before... Only one frequency is used by the system ?
Even i had this.. Clean flashed helped in elimination for me
Hey.
I have the same problems on my Leeco LePro 3 with 7.1.2 rom.
*job.deadline* is keeping device awake.
I lost 10% overnight battery.
What service is that?
Thanks
Same here, do u guys have a EAS kernel or HMP?
Same issue, OOS 4.1.6
So nobody of the developers interested in this?
same here, 2 full wipes without success.
I seem to have the same problem on my S5. I'm on ResurrectionRemix 5.8.3 Nougat.
Battery draining is about 1%+ an hour when idle. In trying to solve this I have discovered a whole bunch of settings'n stuff to increase power-savings on android. I even use greenify, boeffla kernel, and I've turned of LTE.
My phone should now be the champion of battery life, but it only gets about 1/3 of what stock Marshmallow ROM gets. - !!! 1/3 !!! -
Someone mentioned clean flash? Sounds like magic. I mean, that's how I installed the rom in the first place...
I have the same problem. On my OnePlus5 though.
Mine is a staggering 99.4 wakes per minute though.
8771 total for *job.deadline* and 5204 for *job.delay*
I have both a Moto 360 and a Fitbit Charge 2 though. Possibly related to bluetooth and or android wear?
Suggestion: Try to get the latest stock firmware to update bootloader / modem. I did this and battery life improved 50%+ No more crazy wakelocks.
I already was on a very recent firmware, but getting a newer samsung firmware from a different region did the trick.
Edit: Battery still not as good as stock rom. That may be limitation of LOS or something else I don't know.
ive use the latest 4.1.6 stable and the beta 19 with the same issues (clean flashes), it takes no another effekt with or without root.
Same issue here. I found this when I googled it:
/** Deadline alarm tag for logging purposes */
private final String DEADLINE_TAG = "*job.deadline*";
Does this mean it's related to logging? Can I find out what app or how I can disable it?
Push! Same Problem here....
Same Problem here. Android has 2,0 Alarms per minute. After I closed all running apps Android went to 14 Alarms per hour. Next time when I get the failure I will see if I can find the exact App who triggered the problem.
Same issue here on Redmi Note 3 kenzo.
Resurrection remix 5.8.X, guyver kernel
same wakelock on redmi note 3 pro, nitrogen os. can i block it?is it an important wakelock
