Whenever i try to open 3d creator on camera app the app crashes and doesn't open up until i clear app data not even by restarting the device.

I sent a mail to huawei regarding same but they never replied..!!
No need to clear app data
After it crashes, when u again start the camera app it tries to go to the previously selected mode, which is the 3d creator...
Just go the app select list.. loong press on the camera icon.. this will give u 4 options.. select any of these the start the camera app in different mode... Hence it doesnt crash..

That link installed a version of any cut that keeps crashing. I have a Verizon galaxy s3 rooted worth stock jelly bean. Is there an updated version? Is the app device, or ROM specific?

The Google play one says not found even in browser. The one from Tewlman's dropbox says the same as the others; after I click "Activity" The app crashed with "unfortunately anycut has stopped"
Try clearing app data and cache via app manager, then uninstall, boot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvic, reboot and reinstall.
I'm just a humble flasher, not a dev by any means.

That didn't work. I used ROM manager to clear the caches after I uninstalled the app. It had no data to delete before I uninstalled. Am I the only one with this issue? Are there any good alternative apps?
There is no newer version and it crashes on jellybean if you run it from the app shortcut. It will work if you drag a widget from the widget tray to a homescreen.

It isn't listed as an available widget when I long possessed the home screen. See the attached. I also tried am app shortcut on the home screen which ended with the same error

Ok I found the widget when I went back to Touchwiz but after launching, it crashed with the same error.

Try with a long press to (touchwiz) home screen, after select "apps and widgets", find it in the widget list and drag it to home screen. This is the only way I can use it without crash. I use it on SGS3 mini with stock JB 4.1.1

I just tried. it crashes right after I select "Activity" I also use Go Launcher, but for the purpose of your test, I switched back to Touchwiz.
Here is the one I use. I have used it on stock and custom ROMs. You have to use a home launcher that supports shortcuts, like Apex or ADW. Just long press on a home screen and when you get a popup select shortcut then select Anycut. Then select activity and scroll through the list. There are some that will force close, but I have found that a lot of the system shortcuts do work.

I uninstalled anycut and installed the one you attached. I tried the shortcut with Go Launcher and also Touchwiz. Both have the same result...after clicking "Activity" it says "Unfortunately Anycut had stopped working"

I use it with Apex. I cannot speak to the others as I have not used them. You should also try fixing permissions. Permissions being off can cause FC.

For me. Apps that are frequently using lead to force close.. This happens to xda, sometimes Facebook etc

after flashing deodexed version of gennxt i haven't noticed single force close & games that where not working or after few minutes of play will vibrate & get fc are working fine now

Restart your phone and then open it.becoz same prob with me also but it was for camera. I just restart my phone and prob solved :thumbup:

use titanium backup and integrate the update of google play service to system[so that disabling service wont remove the update]
open settings/all apps/google play service then disable it...now open camera..it will open ...
other gapps wont work till u enable again

guys k atleast try this...unistall app settings
use titanium backup and integrate the update of google play service to system[so that disabling service wont remove the update]
open settings/all apps/google play service then disable it...now open camera..it will open ...then again goto settings/all app/google play service enable it...

to ignore checking of license for games,apps...paid apps can be used//[some apps downloaded from outside still needs license verfication..to undo it we need modded playstore..]
i think its not needed/...try integrate the update of google play service...then disable it...open camera...now enable that again..

I integrated google play services to my system. I then disabled it from the settings. When i do this, the camera runs fine. I close the camera and enable google play services. When i opwn camera again i get an FC. So it is still not working

I don't think i should go that far, dont wanna make a mistake, then might have to reflash 4.3. I didn't really wanna get this camera app anyway, just wanted to help a brother out

Worked for me without the modded Play store.
Steps i followed:
Installed the camera app (Will FC if you open it now)
Then Open Titanium Backup > Batch Actions > Integrate updates of system apps into Roms > Select Google Play Services.
The camera app worked after i integrated the google play services.

I am playing with cm11 protected apps. So I test it by locking the gallery and some apps. Then I don't like it so I want to remove the protected apps. But, something weird happened. I can remove the check for the other apps I lock, but not for the gallery. When I uncheck then exit, it becomes checked again. So I only can access the gallery via camera

what do you mean "crashing"?
Is it all camera apps or just the stock ?

I did. I then get access to the camera but the thing is when I try to flip the camera o the front, it ends up using the wide angle lens also a bunch of static is visible. When I try to switch into the wide angle lens properly then the app crashes.
