MI A1 Themes .NO Root No Substratum - Xiaomi Mi A1 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Here are themes for Mi A1 .
Just download and Extract the Zip files and install at least Two Themes (Install the theme like a normal apk)
Then Go to Setting>Display>Advanced – at the bottom you’ll see Device theme section. (If you don’t see it after installing themes then wait for 10mins)
Select any theme you want to apply and reboot for a perfect look. (Most of the time it doesn’t need reboot)
To Uninstall Go to Apps > Select the Theme and Uninstall (Uninstall themes to go back to stock theme .then Reboot)
I dont make the themes ..I only Shared It
MOD Edit: ZIP Removed.

Here we go again... Sharing themes made by developers is considered warez. Unless you have a source where you got these properly, I doubt this thread and your link will stay up any longer.

Hey, if you didnt make the themes then see the forum rule here.
12.1. Give credits where due - Credits and acknowledgements for using and releasing work which is based on someone else's work are an absolute must. Works reported to have no credits will be taken down until proper acknowledgements are added by the member in question;

work?

This worked... Thanks

I don't know why this thread is still open? It's sharing work from other devs without there knowledge. Just buy Andromeda! It's on sale for like 50 cents!

Thread Closed.
@arunsreekumar posting overlays of paid substratum themes considered piracy aka warez and that's forbidden at all in xda.
Take a look at xda rules: https://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81
6. Do not post*or request*warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit members to request, post, promote or describe ways in which warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained or used. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community.

What is original development for?

Welcome to the Original Development for the Evo
4g
Explanation
This section is for original works of art. It is meant to make developers strive for something better and to push the envelope. Our hopes are that developers will work even hard to get their work in here and even harder to keep it in here. All roms in here are actively being updated and maintained.
This section is for a number of things
1. Source build of original roms- Meaning a build that is made original built from source and maintained by creator
2. Maintainers- Roms that were created by an original developer but they have moved on and another developer has taken over as the maintainer (with permission from the originator)
3. Significant ports- Port of roms that are a huge significant development (one port only)
4. Kernels- Original kernels with open source made public on github and 100% gpl compliant. Source is up to date with current version
5. Mods- Original mods made. No ports at all
Make Sure
1. OP is clean and clear
2 Kernel source is gpl compliant and linked to either the orignators OP(where source link can be found) or to the github of their source
3. All build information is stated. (kernel, build type, credits(with links), changelog, whats broken, and screen shots)
What does not go in here?
1. Roms that are copy/paste, kitchen created, themed copy of other roms.
2. Ports not deemed significant or that have already been ported by someone else first
3. Guides
If you think your rom from development section deserves to be in here then PM a forum moderator and request that it be moved. The forum moderators in the evo section with make a group decision and move it if agreed upon. This makes it fair for all.
Things that must be in PM to get consideration
1. Link to the OP
2. What qualifies your rom
3. You are the owner of said thread
Please do not!
1. PM the moderators asking that your favorite rom be added
2. Try and have old threads that were once original be added (looking for active development only)
3. Get your feelings hurt if your turned down. No one is against you at all and your work is very much appreciated
4. Accuse the Mod team of playing favorites. We are all here to better our phones and put forward the best of the best and no one will be denied based on personal likes or dislikes of a person, team, or rom. It is all based on the criteria set above and thats it.
There are no exceptions of the above guidelines.
5. Post a thread in here without the Moderators approval. It will be deleted no questions asked. I'd hate to see a whole thread get deleted and you have to retype out the OP cause I know how time consuming it is.

[KERNEL DISTRIBUTION RULES] Hot Topic! [Attn: ROM DEVs]

Just a reminder of some old rules that seem to be forgotten. We are not out to make the dev's lives harder or to be a pain in the neck. XDA has had issues in the past from kanging to malicious code in kernel's. They are based on the GPL and you are free to modify and distribute, however you must share your changes and cannot charge for your work. (my summary of the GPL). That's why when we distribute a kernel in a rom, we fall under the GPL guidelines and have to follow some simple rules to keep XDA and our members out of trouble. Thanks again to all the Dev's for your understanding and outstanding contributions.
Anyone providing a ROM with a Kernel include should mention and link what kernel is used.
This means either:
Stock kernel is used (OP has to say that)
OP uses a 3rd party kernel (from another user), then he has say that and link to the thread)
OP uses his own kernel in which case he has to upload sources as per GPL and XDA rules and link them. (Please note: sometimes only the ram disk of a stock kernel is modified, this does NOT fall under the GPL. Example: Making a stock kernel 'insecure')
Concerning GAPPS: CM and some other were asked by google to NOT include them. But only those parties. Everyone else can include them unless asked by the owner (ie Google) to remove them.
This also means in theory that everyone with a CM kang can include GAPPS, however most people don't (which is obviously fine too)
I don't think any OEM ROM was ever forced to remove GAPPS.

Would this work on a ZL with AOSP (PAC ROM) flashed? Or is it just limited to stock Sony?

The app works on any ics and above device unless there's something unexpected. Only official supported device get thread created like this though. So it should work.
We're going to close individual device thread to consolidate our app thread into one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28659480 , please go there if you need to discuss anything related to our app.

Kitkat 4.4 for Defy/Defy plus (MK44.2) Mokee ROM

Moderators Note about MoKee. These ROMs in the past were known for distributing adware/malware. As they claim to be "Open Source" now, you should still be cautious about flashing MoKee ROMs. Currently this ROM is under review by Moderation Staff.

Guys, but why are you still using Mokee, aren't they including malware in every ROM now? :/

Those Chinese apps is not exactly malware. Because is not useful for me I've uninstalled it with Titanium and recover some ROM. Also I replace the Mokee launcher and keyboard and make a very reliable and stable OS ( 4950 pts under Antutu 4.1.4).

And how is it that it's "not exactly malware"? Is it just partially malware? Almost malware? Maybe malware? Or is a "variant of Android/TrojanDownloader.Adload.B trojan" really just not that bad?
And then when people caught on to it they also modified the keyboard app too... but nah... can't be that bad, since they are actually fixing many bugs that aren't being taken cared of by serious developers that contribute directly to XDA, right? Oh wait, their change log doesn't really reflect anything different than what's already being taken care of by other developers who are actually compiling and programming for our Defy...
As a tip, you can and should delete those apps before flashing (with 7zip), that way they aren't ever run on your phone; once you flash the first thing that will start up will be the keyboard.

maybe the correct term is adware? For the rest: I found that ROM to be the most stable, battery efficient and with all the settings I need. 'till now the rest of 4.3 custom ROMs do not comply with the above needs and the 4.4.x is not enough mature. The only problem with Mokee 4.3 is that SistemUI slowly growing which suffocate the RAM and need periodical reboot -but that appear to be common to 4.3.x . Those grow seems to be closely related to apps installation and update.

Hardly the point. First of all, the fact that they have to hide it in an app most people will need to start up the ROM is shady at best. Second of all, regardless of how AV companies label the malicious software they find, a trojan downloader is essentially a backdoor for the app developer to open it and to deliver a payload that can behave differently than just "adware", without the user's consent or knowledge. That fact alone should make people think twice before installing/using this ROM, especially once people are aware that the developer's intentions are not necessarily intentions that promote the improvement and development of Android.
People can choose what they want, just my two cents on why we are tolerating malware, adware, trojans, or whatever you want to call it. There are a lot of people who also frequent these forums who won't know how to delete the malicious apps before flashing, regardless of whether they should be able to or not.
It's different when you have to mod things to your liking or to improve functionality, but hidden and persistent malware/adware placed by the developers themselves...?
We shouldn't have to tolerate that...

Completely agree with you. Personally I think this ROM should be banned from XDA, where piracy and even promoting your paid themes isn't allowed. For me it is unimaginable that a trojanned ROM can be posted. discussions about how easy it is to remove don't matter, like you said. Hence I have reported to the mods.
@ others: Yes people can choose what they want, like antiga said, but on XDA the choice of installing trojans shouldn't even exist. There are shadier websites one can visit to get their trojan fixes.
Thread currently closed
Ok, 2 things.
1) Thread moved to General, as it's just links to the MoKee site, as it appears the OP is not an official maintainer, and just posted links. As such it does not qualify as development.
2) Thread is currently closed pending investigation of current MoKee practices.
In the past MoKee had been known to included adware in their apps. Did they include Malware? Depends who you talk to. However, MoKee was discouraged at XDA, along with MIUI ROMs which also operate under a similar principle.
However, MoKee claims to be "Open Source" and their github seems to reflect that.
It is advisable however, to remove any suspicious apk's just to be safe until a disposition is made. And considering it's a Chinese ROM with a past reputation, might want to change keyboard apk's as well
Thread closed for the time being.

[All Variants][OMS-Substratum][G3][7.0_r6][16.9.16]AOSP 7.0

here you can ask whatever you want.
I think this is a good idea. Let's see if now the dev thread is clean ..
perhaps you can indicate in the dev thread made here doubts, questions, ...
Greetings and thanks
Are you planning to move the downloads to AFH instead of your local server (like you are doing for the G2)?
Thanks!
Can you change substratum with layer manager or cm theme engine? For substratum we have so small amount of thems comparative with the others engine, and them aren't so beauty, and I fuk the os so many time with themes that makes systemui crash. The ROM is ok, but I am not satisfied with the customization options.
Also, u can add to this room SuperSU?
Can you please provide the fix for the sensor issue after root? (a commit to fix this), i can't figure out how to get root to work with sensors and you fixed it somehow
