A way to turn off the second camera sensor in MI6 ? - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

A telephoto sensor of my mi6 camera is apparently selectively damaged and it crash the stock camera app (can't connect to camera error). Is there a way to temporarily turn it off, software wise ? I have a TWRP recovery already installed and global stable rom

Try Gcam.
It does have have support for the second sensor, so you'll be able to test if this is really the problem.

OnePlus 5t camera issue

Hey I recently bought the OnePlus 5t and it was working fine, but now the camera app crashes and the back camera just shows a blank screen,I am able to use my front cam via third party apps, but back camera is completely not working.does anybody else face same problems and is there a solution? ( PS: I already cleared cache of camera app, wiped cache by pressing volume down and power button, used safe mode and also did a factory reset and it's still not working)
I am facing the same issue, I tried the same things you did. I did see on one plus forums that rooting the OS fixed the problem but I don't want to do that
Try to re flash stock (latest) Oxygen OS if that wont help probably you have faulty device.
Any solution? I have the same issue and I wouldn't like to buy a new one

Camera and NFC not working anymore?

Flashed with a the stock Nougat firmware and it went fine except my camera and NFC no longer work at all.
Camera gives a vague "Camera error" error in every app that utilizes the camera, and NFC fails to turn on . Id like to upgrade to the new Pixel Experience that was posted but not really sure how to get to the latest build as every other one i've tried breaks the fingerprint sensor.
XT1710-01 Unlocked running Android 7.1 "Stock" build
Not sure if this will help but I had that same problem and it turned out to be the font size. I reset it to default and the camera worked. Hope it helps

can't switch to front camera

Whenever I try to switch to front camera on my redmi note 5 pro(whyred) it switch to secondary rear camera.Don't know what's going on.need help!I tried different apps, different roms, clean stock firmware.*Video calling apps are also not working. This happened few days ago maybe because I was trying to enable camera 2 API without root from an app from playstore which is highly unlikely. I can't see front camera details in any hardware spec app so I'm assuming hardware issue but then why it's switching to second rear camera I'm confused. Anyone .?
You can't enable cameraapi2 without root, flash a miui with mitools, clear data as well. See if cameras with then.

Camera problems with Android 11 on Willow

So basically I am having problems with the camera on every Android 11 rom on Willow (Redmi Note 8T). Tried formatting everything, latest 12.0.2.0 firmware flashed, tried every rom here, same problems... I can take photos (always in a vertical orientation, it won't rotate the photo if I took it horizontally), but video recording won't work at all. When I press the record button it goes for a second and then the app freezes. When I go to video mode and then back to photo (switching between modes takes 5 secs), the camera app crashes with an error "can't connect to camera''. Same problems with any camera app, only with gcam instead of freezing on video it records a one-second file and then stops as if someone pressed the stop button.
I asked many guys here, seems like no one had problems like me, maybe this problem is related only to Willow because of no Android 11 firmware yet
Also, I find out just now that auto rotation won't work at all, not only in camera
Edit: Fixed by flashing persist.img from miui fastboot rom

Question Fingerprint sensor not working after update to MIUI 12.5

anyone in here facing fingerprint sensor not working after update to MIUI 12.5? bcoz right now I cannot use fingerprint.
Is there any solution for this beside reset factory?
That might be a problem with the new update. Boot to download mode an install your old firmware for your model
