Any new security updates out? It's a tablet. People use it for years. It's like a notebook. Come on huawei. Please update. Last patch is from march 2018. One year old. That's crazy.

I have bought a Redmi 8 in Juli 2020, the newest version.
Modell : M1908C31G
and I am unable to find any working TWRP, the display touch wont work .
I have read that there was an issue with the touch in earlier versions of Redmi 8 and there were several
TWRP , but I really tried them all , the newest official , older ones and some didnt work at all and plenty of them
did but the touch wouldnt accept input.
Is there somw workaround tutorial or maybe even a TWRP somewhere and I was just not able to find it?

This is for Redmi Note 8, not Redmi 8. Are you using Redmi Note 8/8T?

The 10T Lite Forum seems so empty
I love this phone, the only downside seems like no one is developing for it. I think this is due to being only released in Europe and not in india, where most of the devs are from.
I wold love to install customs roms on my device.

Redmi note 9 pro 5g is essentially the same phone I have a recovery that is for the note 9, my bootloader can be unlocked tomorrow then I'll try it out and post the results. If interested is built by wzsx150.

wzsx150 released twrp for redmi note 9 5G, not for pro version.
Well i tried it anyway had to flash the factory images to get it working again, great phone but depressing having no twrp.

The recovery works great but it is not detecting external sdcards, OTG is detected though.
Ok i will fix tomorrow.
@aradalien please test this recovery

"failed to mount vendor" , "product" system......
@geoanto555 no there is no fails mounting the partitions on my end
