Xiaomi.eu MIUI 9.5.2 stable - face unlock - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone
I recently updated a Mi mix 2 from 9.2.7.0 to 9.5.2. (Xiaomi.eu stable)
The thing is I can't find face unlock in settings. There is nothing under "manage fingerprints". I asked in Xiaomi.eu forum but nobody answered yet. Swipe gestures are present though.
Maybe I'll have more luck here
Thanks

Thanks for your answer. As Xiaomi.eu is based on China stable version, that confirms it is normal and not a consequence of the dirty flash.

Mi Mix 2 Face Unlock

Hi there,
so i saw mutiple threads and videos (most in chinese tho...) about the possibility to unlock Xiaomi devices under MIUI 9 with face unlock.
I got my Mix 2 3 days ago...so i can finally unlock my bootloader today but what do i have to flash for face unlock possibility?
Currently i'm on miui 9 global 7.11.6 beta, which doesn't include this feature.
So is this still in chinese beta, is it a miui pro feature only?
Can anybody shed some light on it?
Thanks in advance.

this one is the miui9 beta version 11.16 in China, and this shuld have faceunlock.
you must use TWRP rec to flash this ROM,or you can't use your phone(maybe)
and if you flash this rom,you can't get OTA push, you can only download full rom to update!
China version have many AD and unofficial APP, you can uninstall most of them
after all , my English is realy poor...if you can't understand,i have no idea
running on xiaomi.eu rom and using face unlock without a problem

Hi, to be continue with my doubt...
I want flash Xiaomi.eu in my device, however i afraid brick, becouse the diferentes versions between Xiaomi.eu and Global and release version.
So, i mounted comparation the Miui installed with future Xiaomi.eu (for installation).
Seemingly no have problems in install Xiaomi.eu, becouse the version selected is Miui 10.8 with Android Oreo and Xiaomi.eu not apply all firmware.
In below have links for imagens comparete two versions.
https://pasteboard.co/I9EPMPd.png
https://pasteboard.co/I9EPZdh.png
The thread forum in Xiaomi.eu about this version above, has closed. So i dont get experiences.
Whats your opnions about installation Xiaomi.eu in my device with version Global_V10.2.1.0.OEDMIFK with ARB 4?
PS.
My device has TWRP (by @nijel8) and unlock bootloader.
Thank you very much.
Android PIE and Oreo have the same ARB index. The difference is in MIUI 9 and it can not be returned to him.
What to use xiaomi.eu will not help you. I used several times but always returned to Global dev. In my opinion, Global is better and more stable. Xiaomi.eu on android PIE has different problems is not as stable as before, always has some problems.
I read that the stable Oreo was a good version but I did not use it.
Install and try, if it does not meet your expectations, make a full wipe and install the Global versions by Miflash.

Yes, i agree.
In conclusion, the differences between xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAX3_8.11.1_v10-8.1 and miui_MIMAX3Global_V10.2.1.0.OEDMIFK_885d8903d6_8.1 are small.
I maked more one comparations between two versions ... the files in "META-INF\com\android\metadata"
https://pasteboard.co/I9G3G7c.png
I'll stay in my version for now ... I debloat and its was good. I will wait longer to upgrade to a more stable version.
Thank you very much!!
Oreo will not be developed any more, so this is the most stable version.
Wait for the new stable version of PIE Global. They probably corrected the errors from the previous version.

Xiaomi.eu stable rom V10.0.6.0 vs. V10.2.1.0.

Hi,
Has anyone tested both versions of the eu stable rom (V10.0.6.0.OEDCNFH_v10-8.1) and (V10.2.1.0.OEDCNXM_v10-8.1) on the mi max 3 ?
And whats the difference ? I ask that because if I put the V10.2.1.0 and there is a bug/problem I can't go back to previous V10.0.6.0 due to the stupid anti-rollback.
ps. I posted this tread on xiaomi.eu but no answers...
thanks
Xiaomi.eu dont have ARB so no problem
thanks, it's a good new

Question Xiaomi.eu for poco f3

Has anyone tried xiaomi.eu for poco f3? If yes, please share the installation steps and your experience with the rom.
Is you bootloader unlocked?
Only Fastboot method for now, check out the Xiaomi.EU forums: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...all-xiaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-redmi-k40.60379/
As the original thread on the xiaomi.eu is for the K40, even if I understand it is the same as POCO F3 which is K40's international version, did people succesfully test the fastboot flashing of that ROM specifically on the POCO F3?

Yep. it's basically the same device with difference in firmware and rom installed. Flashed the latest weekly on my F3 with no issues so far.

Hopefully they can fix this in future releases. Having no gestures sucks.

I agree. it's with MIUI itself. alot of peepz are not happy lol
If anyone is using xiaomi.eu on poco f3 right now, please tell me if the option "tap to display AOD for 10 seconds" is available in AOD settings or not. Im asking because it is available on the default global rom and I really like it this way.
What are the differences between roms so far? Can anybody list them?
Why everybody complain about gestures? I can use gestures on my poco f3 with nova luncher with no problems. Global stock firmware
Gestures - swiping on the home screen to open some app or other things right?
My uderstaning is Xiaomi.EU is based on the latest China rom. It's essentially the Redmi K40's rom 12.0.8.0 date 2021-04-09 with performance/battery tweaks, Chinese apps/bloat removed, ads removed, languages added and don't quote me on this (EU/Global vendor).
Then there's the official European (EEA) rom which just received update 12.0.4.0 date 2021-04-19 that fixes screen dimming, standby battery drain and haptic feedback motor noise.
And lastly there is the official Global rom which is still on 12.0.2.0 date 20201-03-30 which is meant for the rest the world including North America.
The China rom is developed by Xiaomi developers in China. It's has the most features, the latest features and is the most stable.
The Global and European (EEA) roms are developed by Poco and have the Poco lanucher and Google apps as default.
Eventually bug fixes one region receives will be transferred over and implements to other regional roms.
Downloading 12.0.4.0 fails for me. Was anybody able to do the update?
Can someone check if the xiaomi.eu has the sensors off feature in the developer settings?
I posted on the Xiaomi.EU forum asking about the current issues and bugs Poco F3 users are facing.
Hopefully someone, who has a Redmi K40/Poco F3 running the Xiaomi.EU stable firmware replies to my post.

Weekly has more bugs than stable, right? Have you encountered any bugs yet? My bootloader unlocks tomorrow and I cant decide between weekly and stable.

I flashed weekly 2 days ago and haven't encountered any bugs, imo it feels better than global stable
I'm also thinking about to flash xiaomi.eu rom. Battery life is very poor for me on global stable... Also it is not running as smooth as i thought. Sometimes a bit laggy.
@ zeb_vv
Seems like no one wants to flash Xiaomi.EU stable for Poco F3 even on the Xiaomi.EU forum.
Weekly has more features and is on MIUI 12.5, but it's less stable and has more bugs.
Good to hear you've not encountered any problems.

Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) MIUI 14 Call Recording

Hello everyone. I was hoping someone might answer this question for me...
Originally, my Note 9 Pro came with Global ROM, and eventually I switched to Indonesia ROM so currently I have 14.0.1.0.SJZIDXM installed and call recording function with MIUI Dialer works perfectly.
What I would like to know is does any other joyeuse MIUI 14 ROM come with MIUI dialer and call recording?! Taiwan, Russia, Turkey or EU?! So if you have on your phone 14.0.3.0.SJZTWXM, 14.0.1.0.SJZRUXM, 14.0.1.0.SJZTRXM or 14.0.4.0.SJZEUXM please tell me does your phone support call recording and does it have MIUI Dialer?! Thank you all in advance
nobody?! ehhhh :-(

EU ROM has it
xiaomi.eu rom comes with miui dialer.
Magisk mod is available for los users with the stock dialer, but no auto call recording.

unfortunately, this turned out not to be true. If you meant that xiaomi.eu ROM has it...yesss... But my question was specifically addressing several stock ROMs and you stating that the EU one (14.0.4.0.SJZEUXM) has it really misled me...installed that one, and sure enough...no MIUI dialer and recorder there. Just stock apps.

thanks for replying, but I was interested in stock roms listed above, in my original post. I am well aware of xiaomi.eu rom.
User who replied before you misled me by suggesting EU rom has it. Anyway...think I'm just going to give up Xiaomi altogether.

The xiaomi.eu rom for our device is just a modified stock rom, (global), to include the miui dialer and a bloatware removal.
It's a really good option for those who prefer miui, and it's likely what the others were referring to as "eu rom".
