Describe your experience (mostly what doesn't work as expected)
Provide logcats: the dev does not have your phone, so logs are needed if you want him to fix stuff (How to take logcats?)

@Arnova8G2 I'm using 1.4beta2 and everything works using the Pixel 2017 Zsl Hdr+ config and Pixel 2XL model including Portrait Mode. I tried version 1.4 linked above and portrait mode selfies do not work. It doesn't take the picture and gcam crashes. I've attached a log and hope it helps.
Also portrait mode selfies are much better using the Nexus 6P or 5x model but then HDR does not work. Using the Pixel 2XL model, the selfies are a little blurry.
It would be great if we could use a separate model for the front cam vs. the rear. Best of both worlds then...

When trying to switch to video, an error says cannot connect to camera, and the app closes. I've tried a few different camera settings, but haven't found anything yet that works.
If my log is insufficient, please let me know and I'll try again.

Wanted to add a Camera2 Test file, in case that helps.
Since we have the Pixel 2 XL, we have all of the latest camera features like portrait mode, and AR stickers and such. However one of the things those apps enable that are not stock is RAW/DNG capture from Google Camera. Has anyone tried apktool on just the stock Google Camera app to enable it?
By now there is no Google app or mod that is able to do it.
In my Pixel XL 1st Gen I use ProShot. It lets you shoot photos on RAW+JPEG and it has a great design and very functional features (depth of field, manual focus, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, temperature, compression level on JPEG, etc.)
Can anyone tell me which is the most stable orea rom for portrait mode right now ....Also did aex support aex?? Thanks
Best rom for Portrait mode
I have tested many roms for Pixel 2 portrait mode, best of them for portrait mode are
1. Pixel experience Rom (Google lens working on Google assistant and google photos after inserting pixel 2 XL in built.prop)
2. Aex Rom (AR Stickers Working perfectly)
I have flashed GCAM with AR Stickers version 7 magisk based. (You will find the link )
My settings for camera are:
Model : Pixel II Walley(Google)
Config camera HDR+ : Pixel 2017 Zsl Hdr+
HDR+ parameters : Super High
Lens blur megapixel : 12
Final jpg quality HDR+ : 100%
Portrait mode on all models : on
Increase the detail of HDR+ in front camera : on
*After these restart camera again then you will find portrait mode
in Advanced turn on HDR+ Control for HDR+ ( Amazing photos with HDR+ and amazing night photos)
turn on face blocks in developer settings of camera for full blur control.
(My device : Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus, and now I am in love with it)

I am unable to use portrait mode with front camera on my Redmi Note 5 Pro. When I click to portrait mode it automatically switches to back camera & there is no option to switch it back to front camera.
