Speaker Power - Razer Phone Questions & Answers

Keeping my speaker grills clean however they just don't seem to sound that great anymore.
The top of the phone is alot quieter than the bottom and the right hand side is more powerful than the left (when position of the phone in portrait mode)
Mainly the phones running from the speaker bottom right.
My tweet to Razer
@razersupport another issue of concern
When using the #RazerPhone in portrait for reference
The bottom speaker is alot more powerful the the top and the right is alot more powerful than left.
Order of Power from speakers
1) Bottom Right
2) Bottom Left
3) Top Right
4) Top Left
My sound is just at the point where I need headphones as when watching media it's all been driven from the bottom right speaker.

There are only 2 speakers in the Razer phone, top and bottom. There is no left and right.

Thanks for letting me know now. It's just odd the power seem to be towards the right of the phone.
If you cover up the left it's like it doesn't make much difference but when you cover the right it goes very quite.
In portrait mode you can hear most of the sound in the bottom right speaker

Once again. There are ONLY 2 speakers. No bottom right or top left. Just up or down. Thata it. And if one does not sound like the other then your phone is defective.

That's because top speaker is located right in the middle of the decorative grill, and the bottom one is in the right corner.

That woul make alot of sense. i am aware there is only two speakers but just wasnt sure what the placement of them are within the phone.
yes the speaker grills are the full width of the phone but to me doesnt sound like they are as big as the grills based on the strengh of the sound coming out of them. Logged a call with Razer to get it checked out but wanted to get some feedback from other users of the phone if this is normal for them too.
Covering up vairous parts of the grill wasnt something i did when i got the phone but noticing a few things like turning the phone to watch videos the bottom speaker is always more power then the top making it horrible to watch videos without headphones.

For me watching videos in landscape rotation is perfectly fine, both speakers are equally loud and sound great (best smartphone loudspeakers imo and definitely loudest).
Watch this video, at 0:45 - 1:00 you can see actual speaker holes under the grills: https://youtu.be/lUVG7_uDWSg

Rattle sound

Hi, I hear a light rattle sound while shaking my phone., is this normal on the fire phone or is it just me?
Thanks.
Can't say I've shaken it before but I just did and no rattle.

I have recently acquired Fire Phone and today just noticed this rattling sound as well.
I just noticed as I shook my new phone. The rattle sound is from the physical home button.
I noticed it just now too, I don't think it's a big issue.
After reading this I shook my phone. Yup, a slight rattle. Not a rattle that seems like a piece of plastic is moving around freely. More like a slight rattle sound from the vibrator in the phone that moves slightly when shook. It is more noticeable shaking the phone from side to side while the phone is facing right side up VS shaking the phone side by side when the phone is turned 90 degrees. So I assume it is just the vibrator. Can't think of anything else that moves in the phone. Good catch though.

Cause of haptic feedback rattle found

In my particular case, the camera is the culprit. It seems that the black piece inside the metal square chassis rattles when you tap it. When the vibration motor is active, it rattles the camera inside. Just sharing since it seems this issue has popped up a couple times.
Only solution I can think is to take out the black camera piece from the chassis and maybe stuff it a little tighter or order a new replacement, but the camera could be made that way. I'll take it apart again later today to see if there is some space for small paper or something to keep it still.
I've been getting this rattle for awhile now and was wondering what it was. Between the touch screen and bootloop, this is the third strike.
I also have a sound from the sound vibration motor, but its not so much a rattle sound, more of a beeping/squealing sound. Is this normal? Its not very loud but it annoys me when typing in a quiet room. Remember I had the exact same sound on my last LG phone so maybe its an engineering thing or the brand of vibration motor.

I noticed this on the forums too. I listened for this but couldn't find it. If I put my ear really close to the motor I heard a small whine, but it seemed like it was something else rather than the motor because it was constant. I will say the rattle could sound higher pitched to others depending on movement. My sound is a small rattle but I could see how maybe it could vary to a squeaking or squealing noise to some.

The camera has Optical Image Stabilization. Packing the gaps will stop this working. The rattling is just the camera moving around.

Did you listen to the sound in my video? You have that to? Its mostly when using haptic feedback on home and back buttons and the third button down at the bottom

5T Slight vibration when bottom half is tapped

Hi guys,
I was tapping around the phone to see if there's any camera lens rattle like some of the previous iPhones I had but instead I noticed that the bottom half of the body would vibrate slightly when it was tapped on.
It vibrates very slightly and not a big issue (but sucks to have OCD problems). You would have to tap harder than how you would normally use the phone. Yea I know, no one would tap it like that, but was wondering if anyone else with 5T or even 5 had similar 'issue'.
I think the vibration motor moves a bit when the phone is tapped hard enough and it's causing the phone to vibrate slightly. You can also hear the 'ting ting' noise if you put your ear against the ear piece and tap the bottom part of the phone.

7T Speaker

Can anyone please confirm with the issue I'm facing. The up/front speaker on 7T has sound only on right side there is no output on left side of the speaker. Does it consists of mic along with it? Due to which left half is mic and right half is speaker? The lower speaker works perfectly. Please let me know if anyone is aware about it. Thanks in advance
Yes that's true. Apparently there are two speakers. In a calls the left side works( best sound placed ojln right ear).
While playing music the sound comes from the right side of the grill. I tested this by covering the right edge with ky finger

Question Bottom speaker louder than top speaker?

Hi everyone,
I tried a stereo speaker test (youtube) and I hear that the speaker on the bottom is always a bit louder than the one on the top, no matter what volume percentage I am on. It is not really noticeable in everyday use, but I am a bit paranoid if this is normal with the phone.
Could you tell me if this is also the case with your phones as well?
Thank you in advance.
Yes, it is normal on phones with stereo speakers.
That's cos the top one is an earpiece, not actually a speaker while the bottom one is a speaker, it has those little balls in the speaker housing too to boost audio. Checkout one of JerryRigEverything's teardowns if you've never seen that before.
Normal from my OnePlus experience.
