I come to your forum because I have several questions;
Sorry to bother but I'm a total newbie in phone system that's why I would like to gather information from you.
I'm in EUrope and I bought a Honor 7X phone but problem is the system seems to be from China region.
I've heard this could lead to several problem such as lack of Updating system , but aside from security Update , what other problem could it cause ? Impossibility to download ? To phone ?
(I know about the impossibility to use customer EU service, but that is not what scare me, the thing that bother me is if one day I couldn't go on internet anymore, use googleplay or other service to download)
Aside from that, I have also heard from your forum about a software that could change the ROM , called SRK Tool .
Here again my main question: Is there a risk in doing that ?
Like if you change your ROM from China to EU , is everything will be Oki Doki as if you bought it in EU or does some Update or Feature will still have issue (except China feature of course) ?
Does there is any risk the phone beeing originaly in China region will lock itself or anything since the system is in EU now ?
Long story short: What is the Risk - Reward of changing your ROM with SRK Tool ?

Honestly , I am one lost soul on this Elephone , I am so new with it I feel like a newbie altogether. I do have several years messing with HTC, Samy's and Moto's but this is my first full fledged Chinese phone. With the help of jman I believe it was , I managed to know that mine is a 2015 B model for the USA. Now, I see different roms and none have my number and I can't find the number any where so opens up a new "what is it " for me. Baseband, Kernel, and Build version all match what I have read but the Custom Build version: Elephone_P8000_20160114 gets me confused . I wanted to find the factory rom just to have on the PC in case something happens and been to the Elephone forums and didn't find it , on other rom storage sites and can't find it . I have figured out the bootloader is version K05TS_A. So what roms and where can I flash on this? I do have a custom recovery and root now the bootloader is unlocked but was told this isn't a HTC or Samy so the bootloader doesn't need to be unlocked to flash a custom.

Hi all, I have recently purchased a LETV X800 from Aliexpress. Seller said he will ship with international firmware but i've read that it comes with some viruses and malware.
First thing when i get the phone I want get it on the original firmware, as long as it has English! Can i flash the latest firmware from here? Or could you give me the right link to download the firmware?
Any tips on how to flash the original firmware on the X800?
First of all, you have to find out what kind of phone you get ! The CN model or the US version. Only then you know what firmware you can flash (or not !).

Is it recommended to move to the latest EUI5.8.017S firmware? I am currently on EUI5.5.0.13s

Bought Nova3 PAR-AL00 in China, but I'm living in Europe region. Phone comes with lots of chinese applications which is bothering me.
Now I've got error enabling Location History in Google and I believe it may have something to do with the chinese version of firmware...
Anyone has good idea on how to rebrand to another region, without high chance of bricking the phone?

I'm in the same situation, the problem seems to be the lack of a procedure to unlock the bootloader and subsequently root and edit the ROM.
Anyone has any idea how to unlock bootloader on Nova 3 (PAR-AL00) or any other hardware revision?

buddy if you are lucky enough to have a global unit with global rom then you are good to go. the Chinese unit is quite hard to work with and it bricks quite often. therefore before flashing and rooting make sure you dont have Chinese unit.

Hi! I want to chage phone (unfortunately) coz a lot of my apps is not supported anymore on my SGS6((
I choose OnePlus 11 16/256. Since i live in EU i wanted to import CN version from china (tradingshenzen with global rom - OxygenOS if i remember correctly).
Is it possible to unroot this device without triggering region lock issue? (i receive message that they fixed it finally but dunno hot it works, and if unroot the device the problem will come back)
Can some shen some ligt to me? Maybe someone already try it?
Why CN- the price is much cheaper and they got 512 gb version.
buy it. Someone living in Vietnam, who can unlock and unbrick the region's issues with 15$.
I receive the answer from tradingshenzen and they r saying the bootloader is unlocked. Will it be enough to instal some recording app, or ill still need to root the phone?
And how is with this region lock issue? Coz the TradingShenzen r saying that the problem is fixed permanently and wont occur after rooting the phone, but i read that the problem still exist??
