Phone won't turn on

My m8 is on verizon s-off running a 5.0 build. I had my phone in my pocket when I felt it vibrate then it was on the HTC splash screen. It wouldn't boot past that was able to get into recovery but was not able to restore a backup or flash a ROM off of SD card, both failed then rebooted back to splash screen automatically. I tried to RUU to stock using fastboot then that failed and now my phone won't boot on at all. Any ideas or am I SOL?

Try this:
Boot into TWRP
go to wipe
advanced
put an X in system only
hit repair and verify partition type and size
if it's zero:
Convert to ext2 right there
and then immediately go back and do ext4
same for /data and /cache
then back out and do a factory reset from main wipe page
then reboot to bootloader.. then back to recovery and side-load a ROM or flash it from your SD card.
This fixed a slightly different problem where after a ROM flash, the phone would boot back to bootloader. Truthfully, I don't know if it will solve your particular issue, but there is no harm in giving it a shot. (solution posted while hurrying to get my *ss out the door for New Year stuffs)
Wish I could get into TWRP but phone won't even boot up. I've tried every combination of power and volume up/down that I can think of still no luck. Hook it up to my PC and the computer doesn't recognize anything. I left it on the charger over night and still nothing.

[Q] No Recovery Mode. Stuck in bootscreen loop. ¡HELP ME!

My phone unexpectly turned off and then it entered into a bootscreen loop.
I just tried to flash a stock rom, so I could just erease everything and make it like new.
The problem is that after any flash, or any new rom I install, it keeps into this bootscreen loop. I read that I need to go into the recovery mode and make a Wipe, o data factory reset, etc.
The problem here is that I can't get into the recovery mode in non of the roms i've used. I even tried the last Phils recovery (philz_touch_6.07.9-jflteusc.tar.md5 ) and it dindn't work either (Even unchecking auto reboot and trying to enter to recovery mode after flash)
I press Vol +, Home, and Power, and it shows me this:
Blue line: RECOVERY BOOTING...
Yellow line: Set Warranty Bit: recovery
THIS IS IN EVERY ROM I'VE TRIED.
Then it get full of different colors pixels, and then just restart, and all the looping starts again.
I can't show you the photos I made because I'm a new user in xda forums.
Please help me!

Accidentally flashed a kernel to the recovery

So I was flashing a new TWRP, and I accidentally flashed a kernel I had in my downloads folder onto my recovery partition. I reflashed TWRP, and got the phone to boot, but every time I try to skip the "device is unlocked" screen, I get part of an error screen that the device can't boot as if it's zoomed in. If I don't try skipping the screen it will boot, but I feel the error is indicative of other problems.

Factory reset stuck and Fastboot mode with device state locked

Hello,
Please find below the context from my BootLoader :
Phone: Wileyfox Swift 2+
Product Name - Marmite
Bootloader version - marmite-0-g184aa0da
Secure boot - enabled
Device state - locked
The problem I encountered and the actions I made:
The phone got stuck on the boot screen (frozen picture on phone start)
ADB (android debug) was not enabled before the phone got stuck. The phone was not rooted either.
I went to the recovery mode and decided to perform a wipe cache, with success
Then, I tried to perform a Factory reset from the recovery mode menu. It remains stuck at this step Formating /data. I left it for around 14 hours, then I decided to reboot.
I tried 3 times the Factory reset and it remained stuck at this step
I tried $fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-0-marmite.img when rebooting to the Bootloader (using power and volume up keys), however, it always displays < waiting for any device >
My questions:
How can I format the phone in this context? I don't mind loosing data so far, I just want to get back to a working phone.
Is it possible to flash a phone on which "Device State" is "Locked", not rooted, no custom bootloader, no debug enabled ? If yes, would you mind explaining it to me?
Thank you for any help you may provide

Redmi Note 5 Pro Not Rooting

Hello There,
I have Redmi Note 5 Pro with unlocked bootloader. But unable to root it no matter what.
Let Me Explain The Situation.
1. After flashing TWRP, it asks for "decryption password" which is nowhere to be found on internet. But in order to decrypt it i had to format the phone. GOOD Now Storage is Detected in TWRP.
2. But if i boot phone in System and again boot it in Recovery then TWRP is replaced with Stock Recovery.
1 & 2 are in INFINITE LOOP now.
3. So OTG...... OTG is not even recognizing by TWRP, but OS is detecting it.
4. TWRP "Enable MTP" also not working.
So Let Me Know If I am Forgetting Something.
Please Help Me To Root IT.
PS : I have past experience of Rooting/ Flashing rom / Unlocking Bootloader etc.
I guess the main problem you're having is that your phone keeps replacing TWRP with the stock recovery once you boot into system. I've had same problem on different devices. To prevent this from happening you should not boot into system immediately after flashing twrp, rather you should boot directly into twrp recovery (try "fastboot boot recovery.img" command after flashing twrp - I'm assuming that your twrp img is saved as "recovery.img") and flash Magisk before booting into system. By flashing Magisk before booting into system your phone would no longer replace twrp, and then your phone would be rooted as well. At least that worked for me.
And also use orangefox rather than twrp on this phone
