I'm going to keep my OnePlus 5T. I'm really happy with it and I've waited for LineageOS 15.1 for weeks to be official. I'm not giving that up anytime soon

NO

No i think it may be there because Huawei have it so i guess Oneplus will do the same to give the costumer a choice, but who knows.

NO

No i just wait the 6T without notch

No, I'm very happy with my 5T and I don't wan't the notch even if we can hide it!

I just got my 5T 4 months back, so defiantly NO. I am planning to keep this until 7T or whatever they will call it. [2 years]

Just played with a P20 with the notch, it's not a big deal, honestly i think it will just take time getting used to, nothing else. I have the 5T, quite happy with it, might upgrade when 6T comes out

Nope.

Waiting for 6T.

I just got the 5t and love it. The 6 would have to bring allot to get table

NO-tch

My old motox is struggling, should I wait the op6 or get the 5t now?
I love the amoled screen and don't care whether it has a notch or not. also I would honestly consider price so anything above 500gbp is a no no for me.

Should I upgrade?

I'm currently using an LG G3 with cm13 because stock LG is ugly lol. I don't know if I should stick with my G3 or if it's time for an upgrade. What do you guys think?
If you can afford it, yes. I would upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably upgrade soon and sell my g3 after. [emoji2]
I have enjoyed my OnePlus One for the past two years and it is still going strong, but it is time to upgrade to the OnePlus 3 for me.

Just read that oneplus 3 LTE won't work on verizon. So it's a no go for me unfortunately. [emoji20]

Will we get Nougat (7.0)? If so, when?

Just thought I'd throw this out there because the 1+3 is my first 1+. Can anyone with past 1+ experience give me an idea of first, whether we should expect to get Nougat, and second, if we can expect it, how long after the initial release will it be released for us?
Well, I meant to post this in Q&A, but I guess discussion works too.
Judging by the 1+2, yes, half a year after N goes official.
But who knows, maybe they improved, we got a quick RAM and display fix after all, so I'll say it'll land on january 17th 2017.
You are asking us to predict on something that doesn't yet exist.

It's not like my post was even lengthy...
Official update for sure takes months. But i hope CM and AOSP brings us a (more or less stable) N beta some weeks after the launch. So maybe for christmas this year.
Thanks Hatshipuh and Tiz92. That seems like a reasonable time frame.
Oh, and extra points to Hatshipuh for an exact date estimate!
Prediction: OP3 will be the first Non-Nexus/HTC/Sony phone to get 7.0, officially or unofficially.

Well said. Wasn't there a pic floating around of the op3 running a preview N? I remember seeing it somewhere online bit I didn't care coz I never thought I would buy this phone at the time.
It was a fake. There were "0"s with different fonts.
History is a cyclic phenomenom.
At each new Android version the same threads, with the same answers: we don't know.
The correct answer is: When it's done. And sooner for custom roms.

Come back to future bro, lol
It's better to not count on getting Android N.
And even if it comes, there is a probability that certain things in a N update will be annoying or worse than on Marshmallow so that many users will prefer to not update to N.
But that is OK - on my LG G2 which I used for 2.5 years I still have Android 4.4. And it works, so what?
I heard that Android Nougat will be "6.1". Is it true?

No, it will be 7.0
I don't pin my hopes high of getting android N anytime sooner than 1 year. I will be relying on custom ROMs. The only thing i will be missing is camera quality. Photos on custom ROMs just don't match with what i can get with stock. Hopefully we get alternative.

android n for one plus 3 ? in Feb-March 2017 , they have a history of slow updates. best to assume more time to avoid horrible disappointment lol . but who will stay on stock for so long ? i just hope the op3 gets a cam mod that makes us utilize the slow mo video recordings in aosp/cm roms.. then id go ahead.

Buying a Oneplus 3

As crazy as it seems, I'm actually more interested in buying an OP3 more than an OP3T right now. I really value a bustling dev scene (coming from an OPO has truly spoiled me); I'm unsure that the 3T will match the 3s dev scene. Unfortunately, Oneplus has stopped selling OP3s entirely on their website. First off, should I even be considering the OP3 or should I just go with that 3T? And if I should get an OP3, is there any place where I still can?

I bought mine from Swappa.com
I think in op3ts forum, there aren't any dev support yet because they r considering and working on bringing nougat 7 to the device rather than old MM 6.
But I also heard that the top devs from op3 aren't willing to support op3t. I just heard it don't know the certainty.

I'm wary to use Swappa for this particular device because I'm afraid there's a chance I'll get a Chinese variant without the bands I need. How was the experience on Swappa for you?

This is a possibility, but you are right that many OP3 top devs aren't supporting the OP3T and that includes SultanXDA. The question if any other well known devs are looking to pick it up (and those devs most likely won't be coming from an OP3).
Oneplus 3 will have the most dev support.. When the 3T launched we didnt have alot of new devs.. But now it seems that we are the new nexus.

Mine went well. I asked the seller for proof of purchase in the US. Then when I got it, I installed SignalCheck and popped my sim card in. Showed it connected to T-Mobile band 4 LTE. The Chinese variant doesnt have this band, so I am good.
https://oneplus.net/global/3/specs
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueline.signalchecklite
If it is not as described, start a return via PayPal and Swappa. I've had to do this twice with iPhones when they were misrepresented by the seller and it has worked out just fine.
I bought mine for $200 with 5 oneplus 3 official cases , like new condition. Offerup,. Best phone yet.

you might want to grab op3t now

Just buy the 3T development will pick up soon. Oneplus is giving out the the 3T to Devs
First don't expect the same level of dev support, the OP3T is new and the OP3 was killed after only 6 months.
The number of developers working on the 3 is not going to increase because they're not seling the phone anymore, so beetween the two I think that the 3T is the best option.
Also, ignore all the noise made by some developers. All Oneplus had to do was send them a new phone and everyone is happy again.
I just bought OnePlus 3 How do I know if its Chinese variant?
I havent had 4G/4G lte yet.
Can someone lend a hand?

OnePlus 7T T-MOBILE Update Tracker

Hello All,
I wanted to make a post on Updates and when OTAs release for the OnePlus 7T T-MOBILE variant. Currently we are on 10.0.3HD63CB. We can use this thread to state when our variant gets an ota or Android version bump.
Off topic is ok, but please try to keep it minimal.
Edit: 11/9/19 OTA 10.0.4.HD63CB. Will share the link once i get it. If someone has it please feel free to share. I'll be more than happy to credit.
Just a quick question. Sorry if this is too far off topic. This is the first Oneplus phone I've owned. How are they for releasing timely updates? I'm coming from an LG V30 and I can pretty much imagine anything is better than LGs track record. Thanks in advance!

I came from the v30 myself to the 6t and I can say that TMobile is somewhat faster, emphasis on "somewhat". Usually every 3 months like the v30 when it was a current device to about 2 from what I saw with the 6t

TMobile is the cause of only being somewhat better at updates. I've converted my T-Mobile 6t to international firmware, and it has received approximately 11 or 12 updates in the 12 months I've owned it, including being update to Android 10 over the weekend. I'm considering the T-Mobile 7t but I sure wish that there was an easy way to convert it like there was in the 6t

Ya TMobile is the hold up for sure. They send their test updates to selected employee volunteers first to test things and it's usually a 60 day test ??

My 7t just restarted without any warning and updated itself. I guess TMobile wants to really control it's 7t. I'm sure they learned from the 6t and 7.

Ya that's what I'm thinking too cause we already had the msm tool at this point with the 6t.
The Stupidest part is they won't release the software for us for recovery. It's like our v30 all over again

At least oxygen OS is pretty damn solid for a daily. I still mess with the v30 and 6t. Too bad I'm going to have to return the 6t soon since I jump upgraded. Time to wait for the next update. Fairly faster than the 6t when it comes to updates. If only they had a quad dac headphone jack

I didn't realise the twrp decryption thing was oneplus fault, i thought the partitions were a problem, the way you can't wipe system without bricking the phone.

No it's not the partition issue of android 10 it's the fact oos doesn't decrypt properly on the 7t due to poor implementation of the keystore by OnePlus.

They had just barely announced what devices are getting the update. But as stated, we're likely to hear something regarding our device by end of October, mid-November, latest. Or at least, we hope.
Some new info here, makes sense a stable build will be Q1 '21:
