why this option is not available :crying::crying:
Because I think Xiaomi will not be my next phone brand. I have Xiaomi Mi 5 with full hardware support for 1080p 60 fps recording but they don't care so I will not choose this brand again. One plus 3 with same hardware is updated to last android with this feature and it's not neglected
I have a serious bug on my new samsung s9 exyno version uk nervelocked with video gallery 1.4.08.2 hdr videos are washed out and not playing smooth(video laggs ) never happened on my s8 .....
S8 much better on hdr video ...
do you have the same issue??? i have the latest update
p.s youtube is working with 1440p
Does anyone know the specs on the camera recording in super slow motion on the Galaxy note 8 update? I've found specs for the new Note 9, but not the update my phone got. What is the recording time and how many fps ?
I know that the SD855 is capable of doing EIS for 4k 60fps as I've noticed that other ones with the same chip are starting to come out with updates to enable this feature. I know that all SD855 phones already can do EIS for 4k 30fps but not 60fps (the option greys out or disappears). for example, the zenfone 6 recently had an update to enable this. i'm not sure which other phone can do this right now.
I'm not sure why there isn't more details when it comes to EIS as it is a very very attractive feature, as it almost replaces the need to have a gimbal. i 99% sure the G8 since the G7 also has been using gyro-based EIS meaning the stabilization algorithm is optimized by the data from the gyro. i hope that one day they also add OIS to the ultrawide cam as EIS crops in alot.
thanks,
Hi,
Are you talking about the SteadyCam option presence on LG G8/S/X devices?
As I heard of, for the moment only main lens and FHD 16:9 maximum but it may arrive soon. I'll ask my colleagues next week.
On my current Galaxy S9+ there is a hard 5 minute recording limit for 4K60 (using main camera) & I'm wondering if this limit has been removed on the S20+/S20 Ultra & S21 Ultra???
All these 3 models claim: [email protected], [email protected]/60fps but no mention of hard time limits on recording at the highest quality?
Please can someone who has a Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra or Galaxy S21 Ultra do a test recording at 4k60 to see if there is a hard time limit on the recording??
This is really important for me to know.
Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G Main camera @ 4k/60 I stopped the recording at 6:30 and it was still recording when I stopped it.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your help.
I assume you used the standard, built-in video recorder & not a 3rd party app?
Would you also be able to do the same test using 8k (presumably 24fps) ?

I had such problem and turns out it is the system killing the recording due to overheating. I managed to record about 17 min though.

So what happened to the recording?
With hindsight, if you start the recording with the phone totally "cold" does that help?
??

8k/24fps Main camera stock app i stopped the recording at 10.00 mins and it was still recording.
4Gb of recording of one 4K video was the limit on Android 10. On Android 11 the limit has gone. Maybe it has something to deal with recording limitations on an older devices.
