Locking the home screen instead of having a lock screen? - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Is it possible to lock the home screen instead of having a different "lock screen" when the device is locked? I would like to see my home screen when device is locked! I do not have the need of a lock screen, with Nova launcher I can set my home screen as I like, and I get the number of new notifications on the icon of the apps which is cool. Ideally, when the screen is locked, there would be a different wallpaper so I can see it at once, or a "lock sign" showing it is locked, but all the rest, clock, notification bar, icons with number of notification, etc... would be my home screen.
I made some thourough search and found the way to "lock the home screen layout", or a "transparent home screen" but this is not about locking the home screen (in the way that you do not open apps by accident) nor seeing the home screen when device s locked.
Best,
Thierry

CM10 Lock Screen Issue

So on the lock screen on CM10 M2, you can have shortcuts on the lock screen, "slider shortcuts." One of the sliders, the 4th from the right, doesn't show up. I assigned a direct dial on that space and it doesn't appear or activate. I also tried with apps, it didn't work. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

[Q] Swipe Screen Lock Behaviour

I have my Screen lock set to "Swipe" (the default) but I feel it's too easy to unlock the phone. As well as swiping where it says "Swipe up or down to unlock", you can also pull down the notifications menu and then go into Settings and press the Back button (which unlocks the phone rather than going back to the lock screen, which is the behaviour I would expect and want). Also, if I swipe across to the camera and press the Back button, this also unlocks the phone (again, I expect it to go back to the lock screen).
However, if I change the Screen lock to Pattern or PIN, the lock screen actually functions as expected and I cannot pull down the notifications menu or leave the lock screen via the camera.
Is there any way of replicating this behaviour with the Screen lock set to "Swipe"? In other words, I want to swipe to unlock, but I don't want to be able to pull down the notifications menu or leave the lockscreen unless I have actually swiped to unlock.
Well I think this is the standard and right behavior for all phones. It was the case with the GS2 too. There's no point in disabling accessing the notifications menu when there aren't any locks. It's only makes sense when you lock your device with pattern or pin.
Unfortunately I don't know any apps or modification that can help.

Hmm, OK - thanks for the information. The point is that it is too easy to accidentally unlock the phone - the lock screen should, well, lock the phone. I guess I could have a pattern or PIN unlock but it should be an option to have the same behaviour with swipe.

widget locker has pretty fine control over that sort of thing, including a disable notification bar toggle. i'm not sure if that actually works, though: i'm using delayed lock as well and that overrides some things.

Lock Screen Swipe Left --> Home Screen bug?

I'm relatively new to my HTC one M8 and I've tried to do a search for this but nothing has come up.
I've set my "home screen" to be the 3rd screen from the left instead of the default 2nd screen from the left. So swiping to the left from the lock screen is supposed to take you to your home screen but it keeps taking me to the 2nd screen from the left even though I've changed it to the 3rd screen. Is something wrong with my phone or does this happen to everyone?
Thanks

Where do you see that it is suppose to take you to your home screen? It says takes you to widget panel in the settings "which I don't even know what that is" but it just takes you to the last screen open, not necessarily home. Mine does the same thing as yours.

Wake up the phone directly to the Home widget panel
1. Lift the phone in
portrait orientation.
2. Swipe left across the
screen right away.
This home widget panel is what I set as my home screen right? I see no reason that it would keep going to the screen next to blink feed. Is there some way I can choose what my home widget panel is?

Home Widget panel is the 1st screen after Blinkfeed which can have widgets on. Above behaviour is also true when you set the Blinkfeed as your home screen.

Pixel 2 XL blank bootup lockscreen when using stock live wallpaper

When I updated my Pixel 2 XL to the official Android Pie update I noticed that when I choose the "dark" device theme and then I choose a live wallpaper, when i reboot my phone the initial lock screen pops up with a blank screen (only the live wallpaper shows, with no time, no nav bar fingerprint icon, no status bar info). If i have a pending notification before i reboot the phone then it will boot up and the notification will negate the blank lock screen glitch. If i then choose a "light" theme and choose any live wallpaper then it boots up with the normal lock screen. Also, when I choose any other non-live wallpaper with the "dark" theme enabled then it will boot up with the normal lock screen as well. With the blank lock screen touch is disabled on the blank screen, however, if I access the notification shade then it will negate the glitch and pop up all the normal lock screen info. Also, with the blank lock screen, the power button and volume rocker pops up all the appropriate info and they are touch accessible. Ive tried factory resetting the phone, flashing the old Android Oreo image and updated to Pie via OTA and the issue still persists. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know what app governs the device theme? Any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks
I had the same problem this morning. I changed to one of the stock live wallpapers last night and when I powered on my phone it would boot and where I was expecting to enter my PIN the screen was just black and could not get any response. I could hold the power button and the power options would pop up. I left it alone for my 30 minute drive to work and I was finally able to unlock the phone. I switched back to my stock solid color (black) wallpaper and the problems seem to have stopped.
Same here with the live Earth wallpaper. If I touch the fingerprint sensor it shows the unlock pattern UI which let's me unlock it successfully.

Lock Screen Button on Home screen - Pixel Launcher

Is there any App or Mod for non rooted device which can give a lock screen button on home screen.
Some of the ones I tried on play store disable the fingerprint while re logging in.
Just need lock screen shortcut button on home screen like in accessibility menu.
Turn Off Screen (Screen Lock) - Apps on Google Play
One tap to turn screen off and lock. Works with Fingerprint, Touch ID, Face ID.
