Hello this is Naik , I was working on port of LG p500 for Lollipop on the Basis of KitKat , on work with original KitKat ROM source and since fulfills all requirement it is possible to get Lollipop on our little beast . ,Thanks to Mukul Soni for ROM source.
Please reply if anyone interested , if you give positive response I shall continue to work in this ROM for LG optimus one.
I'll be happy to test it. KitKat is approaching EOL, and we need to be ready to jump ship.

You may want to see if @HardLight wants to join in. They're still doing security updates for their CM11 rom.
Also, you may want to make sure that it allows signature spoofing. MicroG functions a lot better on this device than play services, and requires signature spoofing.
EDIT: If I were you, I'd use "LineageOS for MicroG."

Since the Android site of this device is slowly dying maybe we should try to move forward to another OS.
And Sailfish OS isn't working on our phone so we have one option left...
Ubuntu Touch
And Canonical just published a new porting guide with Android 4.4 as base.
So maybe somebody in this awesome community could try to get this system running on our beloved P6.

This is a great idea! Developers - Please, do something! I am not a developer but if I was one, I was going to do this for the users of this superb phone!
I have gotten myself a LG G3 US990 but there are no ROMs. There is currently one CM12 rom but it doesn't get updated and for the most part doesn't really care too much about improving it. So I've looked at guides on how to build CM from source but it always accounts for the device being added into the database. I've tried building from his source but it's not laid out correctly. So I need someone to help me out with porting CM12.1 to the US990 model of the LG G3. If you're of any help to me feel free to also add me on Google plus/hangouts: [email protected]. Thanks!
Hello friends.... I'm sharing this Flyme OS which i found (shared) in MIUI forums, so that xda developers might take interest and improve it with their magics...

My personal Experience..
Pros:
1. ROM is awesome with simple & neat interface, features are great.
2. Good amount of free RAM, i noticed ~400mb free after installing few daily use apps.
3. No noticeable lags, Rom is smooth.
Cons:
1. Average battery backup (but not too bad). Can be used as daily ROM
2. Few RANDOM bugs for many users.. such as...
> Gapps installation
> 2nd sim not working
> couldn't change network to 3g
> play store sign in issues
etc.,
I'm very respectfull towards developer & friends here for all their works.. :fingers-crossed:
I request if any dev take interest to fuurther develop this ROM for redmi 1s, lot many users like myself will be greatfull :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Nice ROM..only one problem is there that it doesn't support dual sim
Atlast new os for our redmi 1s and I think so it must expand by porting different OS like touchwiz,xperia,etc.!!!
Our armani devs are good in removing bugs,so I request them to add dual sim feature if they have time in future

I too loved to see new OS being ported.. I'm very much happy with this Rom's UI & features... Only the bugs are drawbacks..

Trying to port flyme OS over existing CM builds.. No success yet..

You may be wondering why these devices haven't received Lollipop yet. The issue is, yet again, the MT8389 processor, which is based off of the MT6589.

For lollipop there's no mt6589 source and although it might be possible, it would be enormous amount of work. I don't have so much free time and have a full-time job after all.

So, no...unless someone else is on to development for Lenovo A820/A830, then don't expect fully working CM or ROMs based on Android 5+.
If for some reason I leave my regular job and have some "free" months, then I will be able to work on this project, because I still have my A820 with me. Not likely to happen.
My KK kernel is public, so anyone can continue from where I left.

Development support for the MT6589 has been (mostly) lost, and consequently, so has support for the MT8389. This means that, until a compatible kernel for 5.x.x appears, the likelihood of both of the devices being upgraded to CM12 or 5.x.x is very low.
That doesn't mean it's not possible, however; simply unlikely.
According to the specs the A3000 has a MT8125. Is support for this also gone?

Yes, I'm afraid this is the Wi-Fi only version of the MT8389.
I was on it..but moved to another..not at all able to boot it up..now there is a hope because of 3.4.67 kernel..again working on it???

I have read the other threads, and have seen that the only active dev @Redbeard for our G8 has no interest in making a port for cm14.
I'm no developer, but I do know a lot about android. Android 7.0 (7.1 now) is quite different from 6.0.1, the same as 6.0 was a major step from 5.0, and so on. When people mention 'porting' this or that to, or for a rom, it's a little more complicated than changing a few lines of code to make a working rom. Depending on what is being ported, and to what device, a dev may need to re-write half the code for the rom, just to make it boot. Big factors such as what hardware needs to be supported, so all the sensors work as they should, modem and radio for internet and calls, need to taken into account, and with the revisions in Android, the radio and modem that worked for cm13 may not necessarily work for cm14, and another thing to keep in mind is that phone manufacturers might not release all the source code or drivers for all their devices. This makes it even harder for devs to make working roms.
With this little background knowledge I hope I could help make things a little clearer.
With that, sorry to be the bringer of bad news...
surdu_petru is working o cm14.1 only things not working are GPS and FPS. so we need to wait for the great work of a great dev.....I will try to build other not CM based roms...like slim or omni....
