SNAPROM - Untouched Stock for TWRP #47.1.A.12.179 - Sony Xperia XZ Premium ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries,

Welcome
This is a untouched Stock ROM for TWRP made out of a lack on Bases for My Stock Snap Patch on the XZ Premium. It's just what You get from XperiFirm, but only the System. It does not replace full Firmware Upgrades (See Post 2). Make sure You are using JanJans DRM Fix and Kernel if You don't use the Snap Patch. Otherwise will it just not boot since no Kernel is included. The Uploads are big and i share this just out of friendliness, so please don't do Requests or ask for Updates. This ROM will be always up-to-date, but i repeat, make full Firmware Updates before to ensure You get the latest Modems and other Parts which are not included in this ROM!
Supported are:
-G8141
-G8142
(All You have to do is using the right Kernel)
DOWNLOAD: https://mega.nz/#!uBBxRI7Z!JWeSgNvvKO5SbnPNW4SIqPqEQrZWwbWRSFCbbbB7Lkc

It's just like with AOSP. After updating to the latest Firmware can You just use TWRP to flash the Patch.
-Flash the ROM (The One You want, or just use the XperiFirm Firmware You flashed before)
-Flash the SNAP PATCH
-Reboot
-Done

If it does stuck on the SONY Logo after flashing and the first Reboot, just press and hold Volume Up and Power for a quick reboot. After that should it boot just fine after some Minutes. Just wait for it

Uploaded. Enjoy!

Please try also to replace the build.prop with the attached One (rename it from build.prop.txt to build.prop before)!

Can't tell You that, but the Kernel from JanJan is the best One so far. AndroPlus does also still Kernels but he isn't supporting them that much and he uses the old and dirty DRM Fix from this Storm Guy. The next Snappatch will also come with JanJans Kernel and DRM Fix so that's what i recommend
The build.prop i attached in my last Post could also do the trick to enable Dual Sim and all that. Let Me know and i will upload a full G8142 ROM if needed...

You're wrong.
There is TWRP 2.4.4.0 (if you keep pressing the touch on boot) and CWM (vol + on boot).
Also, I managed to root my Acro S with JB using TWRP.
Somehow when I tried to restart in TWRP, it asked if I wanted to root with SuperSu, I choose yes, it started, asked to Install SuperSu from Play, then I started It and then asked to root normal or by TWRP. I choose TWRP, it restarted and was rooted!
Cobrato, youre the man!

[kernel][E6533][Z3+ dual][32.2.A.0.224](RIC disable, TWRP, root,dm-verity)

Hello guys.
Today i will post a kernel that i (just run the wizard to) created for Z3+ dual variant version 32.2.A.0.224. My simple contribution!
This kernel contents:
-RIC disable
-TWRP
-root
-dm-verity
How to install it:
Run this command at command prompt,
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Or.....
Use the Flashtools in a fastboot mode, then choose the Flash option by DoomLord.
Please, Don't thanks me. All the hard work was performed by Mr. Tobias Waldvogel in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/root-automatic-repack-stock-kernel-dm-t3301605
So, if you like this kernel, please pay a coffe for this guy!
Ps. I already tested on my Z3+ and everything it's okay, so i will not responsable about any brinks or damage in use this kernel!
Ps2: DON'T use this kernel on single model. I don't know whats happens!:silly:
Hello,i've already flashed your boot.img. then i try to flash SuperSu2.6.5.zip. Everything is just fine.
But when i enter SuperSu , the app said that i am in system-less mode.
another app can't detected root mode also.
is there anything wrong with me?
it's dual Z3+
Thanks a lot!

No flashing a kernel doesn't wipe anything, if you're having a dilemma then take a backup of everything like apps, contacts etc using titanium backup, copy the backup folder to your external memory or computer then flash.
Hope it helps.
P. S ONLY INSTALLING A RECOVERY WIPES EVERYTHING.

Can you tell me how long it took for the first boot?
Cause mine is stuck at 'Starting Applications' for about 8 minutes.
Edit : Couldn't wait it took almost 20mins with no progress so shut it down using power + volume up key and went into recovery wiped dalvik/cache and installed supersu 2.66 and again wiped then rebooted. Now it's showing optimising apps. The only problem is it's not charging. Usually at this stage when i connect my charger the charger led starts glowing but now nothing. Any ideas?

It's for 6.0.1 so don't flash it for 5.0.1, update the firmware then flash it cause Sony would have updated somethings in the kernel which won't work with old firmwares. The reason for boot working is maybe because of the phone rebooting from fastboot mode.
Hope it helped. [emoji4]

So how about you push your AROMA fix to the official TWRP trees that everyone can profit from it?
Also that image is certainly not created by me. It might be based on the official TWRP, but the way you put it is missleading IMO.

Yes,now I have the same idea but doesn't matter I didn't write it created by me,I don't think it have matter for developer because he didn't share the recovery in xda.
I still wouldn't mind if _whoever did it_ would push the fix to the TWRP repository.

Hi I am quite having a hard time figuring out how to install TWRP on my XZP dual global version.
I already flashed the latest firmware last August... I also tried to follow installing it through ADB using command prompt yet nothing did work... Is there someone out here who can help me with flashing TWRP... Thanks
I use in this moment the original 3.2.3-0 version.
Where's is the problem to install TWRP? enable adb, call adb during running phone and accept the PC all time.
If the bootloader unlocked,, boot in Fastmode (hold Volume up during connecting the USB cable with the PC) . Check the driver via fastboot devices, If you see the phone call fastboot flash revovery TWRP. img (if your TWRP version has the name "TWRP. img"). After that you can boot into TWRP

You need to flash a kernel from a custom ROM first (like CarbonROM) in order to be able to boot from the recovery (FOTAKERNEL) partition. The stock kernels have recovery built-in and would use that instead of TWRP. You can get a CarbonROM kernel image (boot.img) from its flashable zip.
After flashing a custom kernel you can then flash the TWRP image via "fastboot flash recovery <recovery image>". You'll have to reboot the phone and follow the usual button combination (though I don't really know it's holding volume up or down) to access the recovery. Using "fastboot boot" will not work and it'll stuck on the Sony logo with the blue fastboot LED stay on.
I think twrp found from this thread,,you can check TWRP Folder,
,https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78121448&postcount=4
I've also the Stock Kernel (Pie) on the phone and can reach TWRP without any problems : you must hold Power and Volume (up or down? Not sure in this moment) till you see TWRP on the Screen (around 6 Sec.) Maybe the screen switched off... Switch it on via short press via Power... That's all

You can flash TWRP two ways, either directly from an existing TWRP install, using the linked TWRP.img file. Or you can flash using Odin and the TWRP.tar file.
You will need a custom kernel with dm-verity disabled to be able to boot up afterwards. You will also need to disable encryption and format data to be able to read from the sdcard (encryption isn't supported).
The flashing process is as follows.
Get yourself onto stock Pie firmware, using Odin to flash the complete package. Before proceeding. Boot up and make sure you have OEM unlock switch and its activated.
1. Boot into Download mode and Flash TWRP (Download) using Odin (use AP)
2. Immediately boot into TWRP after flashing takes place, hold vol up and power.
3. Format data partition (wipe/format data)
4. Reboot recovery
5. Copy WETA Kernel + Encryption disabler + Magisk zip to device. - (Download Kernel - Encryption disabler)
6. Flash WETA Kernel + Encrypt disabler + Magisk zip.
7. Boot up system, if it hangs on Samsung logo after 3min perform hard reboot.
8. Connect to internet and go to dev settings and check oem unlock is present before any rebooting.
** Custom kernel is universal for all bootloader v4 firmware.

Some things to note:
0. Requirements are:
USB Cable (Samsung Tab S4 default cable recommended)
A computer where Odin works (ie. my AM4 X370 Ryzen 7 system did not work, maybe some driver issue?)
Best is to put encryption disabler & Kernel onto the micro SD card in the Tab S4 already, you can flash from SD card in TWRP!
1. Flash TWRP in AP slot - beware if you did not untick Auto Reboot, it will immediately restart and you miss 2.
2. Hold those buttons before the vibration kicks in, otherwise you are too late
4. I couldn't do that from TWRP itself for some reason (it just shut off), but button combo worked perfectly
5. [Edit] Do that before hand, I recommend the micro SD card you can put into the Tab S4
6. I flashed encryption disabler (V2) first, then you have to flash the kernel image, flash it to BOOT!
7. Don't just wait 3 min, my Tablet booted after 10 min without issue! I had this before aswell, you just need to give it more time!
Question: Can I update Magisk with this?
