OnePlus phones from O2 UK - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Just wondering if the bootloader is unlockable if you had a OnePlus 5T from O2 UK? Considering buying the 6 through them if they make it available, but I've had 2 Sony phones from them that had "bootloader unlock allowed : no" which meant no way to root them at all, ever.
Also any bloatware installed? Like tether entitlement check or O2 splash screen at boot?

I bought mine from O2 and it's all good. Only Sony devices have that bastardized bootloader BS that has that "rooting status not allowed" set to false when you buy from carriers. Other OEMs should be fine, just stay away from Sony if you're planning on getting the device on a monthly contract and want to modify it
OnePlus devices do not have bloatware nor carrier-specific firmware.

O2 OP5Ts are completely stock totally 100% unlocked to any SIM, absolutely able to root/unlock bootloader and priced the same as from OP. Only thing is that O2 force you to buy a £15 topup if buying off contact.

Thanks for your replies, that's good to know! I'm gonna call them and see if I can thrash out a deal.

Work for O2 Franchise, Oneplus 5T & 6 both unlocked and with extra software on it.

I work for an O2 Franchise and most of the store's don't have the Oneplus 5T in stock anymore. Might find the ocassional one left over that hasn't been sold. The Oneplus 6 will be available to buy on pay as you go as of Tuesday 22nd of May at any O2 Shop.
The price difference is very little so I would honestly recommend to get a Oneplus 6 if your going to be buying one now since the price is almost the same in the UK at o2 between the Oneplus 5T and the Oneplus 6. I can confirm they are unlocked out of the box, have absolutely no software/firmware or apps pre-installed other than the stock oxygen os one's you get installed by oneplus themselves. I got a Oneplus 5T from O2 and have a unlocked bootloader and root too so that shouldn't be a problem either.

yes you might as well buy the oneplus 6 rather than a 5t, the 128GB with 8 GB ram should be the most popular one, cheers.

I have the 5T I got it directly from OnePlus, I'm thinking of upgrading to the 6, but wondering if I should wait for the 6T.

Hello there. I'm having a problem. I have a OnePlus 5T from O2 UK. The bootloader is unlocked, but earlier last week I tried flashing an update with TWRP. Unfortunately, it went a little wrong and I ended up wiping data with TWRP commands. Now, my sdcard (Internal storage) just has files with random letters and numbers, no more of the usual folders with files. I now have a partually bricked device, meaning that bootloader and TWRP would work, but I can't really flash anything because of my sdcard issue! I've also tried ADB sideload with no luck. Can someone please kindly tell me how to fix the sdcard problem, if there even is a way of fixing it? Please describe the process with command line if possible, as I can't use graphical interfaces due to me being blind.
Many thanks for the help, it'll be nice to get some use out of my OnePlus 5T once again.
Tobias
PS, I ended up wiping system, dalvik and cache too so I could do a clean flash.

Bootloaded unlock
I can confirm you can unlock the bootloader on oneplus 5T

There were communications sent out to stores that while current prices are about roughly £30 more than buying from oneplus directly however they will actually be adjusted at some point tomorrow to be the same as buying the phone from Oneplus website directly. However if you buy from O2 on pay as you go, they do require a £10 or £15 top up to be taken with the phone, this can not be avoided or cancelled off the till unless your an pay as you go customer already then the store advisors can do something called a pay as you go UPGRADE which bypasses the top up requirement.
I personally originally got a Oneplus 3 (NOT 3T) from Oneplus.net and this was before O2 and Oneplus even decided to make a exclusive UK partnership and now have the 5T from o2, I will in future including the Oneplus 6 always end up getting them from O2 Directly because that mean's if I have any hardware issues I can send the phone away to an O2 UK Repair centre and get it fixed free within 5 working days. With Oneplus you have to send your phone to them and their nearest repair centre seem's to be in Poland I believe and will most likely take alot longer than 5 working days to resolve but more importantly while I love and am a fan of Oneplus Phones ,as a brand I think they don't have the highest best reputation when it comes to handling customer service, repairs and order queries. I have heard some crazy horror stories out there with that I would just avoid if I had the option. If the option wasn't available then it is what it is. But since the option of avoiding going through Oneplus Customer Service is present I'll take it.
For specific detailed pricing information check the official website;
https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/oneplus/6
(Please bare in mind any and all info I am writing here is my own personal opinion and does not reflect the O2 as a whole.) Gotta be careful in case someone takes what you say out of context or assumes your speaking on behalf of your employer even though your just stating your own opinion and sharing information that you are aware of.

If all else fails than this is a life saver (phone saver), but please read everything on the instructions how to use that tool, its only a less than 10 minutes procedure and the phone comes back to life, hope this helps, cheers.

Um, thanks, but what is this phone saving tool called? Can I have a link to it and maybe how to use it? It would be very nice to get my phone back in properly working order. It's currently stuck on just a sec... Also, is there a way of making my SD card show proper files, IE, wiping data again or mounting the sd card as read/write?
Thanks for the help

sorry but oneplus 5t doesn't take an external sd card? have you actually got a oneplus 5t or some other phone?, please don't flash anything if you don't have a oneplus 5t, cheers

Yo.
Sorry about that. About the SD card thing, I mean internal storage, it's just that ADB and my root browsers call it sd card.
hope that tells you more
And thanks a lot for the link! I can't wait!

Finally Got the Phone

Took the plunge. Seems enough people care about the phone it will get some love. I have the Chinese model, and am so glad I waited. They just started releasing all black models instead of the nasty gold/black (if you liked that combo good on you, but I could not stand it and was going to get a white one). Here are some pics of mine. Now, 14 day wait to unlock (yay?). Wife had some good logic behind that, it is in case people return the device. Most online sellers here will only take a return within 7 days, you could do a lot to and with the phone in that time.

Hi there I have had my phone for 12 days (11 yesterday) and was able to get a unlock code instantly from the Chinese Huawei website: http://zh.ui.vmall.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=unlock&action=apply and by following the guide from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701. The website does loop back to the login page a few times but I just kept repeating till I managed to get to the application page for the unlock code. After filling in the form the code itself was presented onscreen as soon as I clicked apply so good luck!
Thanks for the reply. That site is just a mirror of the English one posted before. It still just kicks back a "you need 14 days..." Wondering though, did you set up the huawei account and such on your device?

Yes I did but when I tried to enter it on the website it said it was linked with another website so I created a new account from my backup email directly on the website itself. I had more luck on the Chinese site than the English one as that would not even show some options for me.

Yeah, being in China I tried the English site first then the Chinese, haha, seriously I did. Might call them and ask, they might just phone jump to the engineering area where someone will do it and give it to me. Or I suppose I could go to one of hundreds of shops that will do it. Lets see if Huawei can be good to me.

I remember being able to get a phone unlocked for next to nothing then the more the fancier phones came out the more shops charged a LOT to unlock. Good luck with contacting Huawei themselves and here's hoping they will be kind. I dunno how I managed to get a unlock code really quick as I nearly gave up then tried the Chinese site which as soon as I entered the details presented my code instantly on screen. Are you planning on Installing the Nougat beta once you have unlocked your device?

Shops here in China are really cheap still, finding one that knows what they are doing is another thing. Nope, will stick with MM until official release. I am more interested in testing, hopefully some kernels and roms will pop up soon. I am an N5 user and still will rely on that device, this is a hopeful crossover device. Been drinking whiskey tonight, sorry if I am incomprehensible.

It gets the job done paying to unlock when they know what they are doing its just the price can be a tad high. Yeah Some kernels and roms should show up soon now the source has been provided by Huawei. Haha no worries I see your enjoying yourself and your new phone lol.

The all black model is really sick! I bought the white one, so I understand your pov about the gold (nowaday I consider titanium grey being a good choice too).
You do have to set up a huawei account in the device. However, for some weird reason, I had to wait for more than 14 days and couldn't get the code to unlock it. So I bought credits in dc-unlocker tool and could get the code with this unofficial method.

I would of gone for Obsidian Black as well if the option had been there, the options I did have were Titanium Grey and Prestige Gold.
It only came out here about a week or two ago, the all black model. The model for the Chinese market is better, but I don;t know if it would support LTE in most places.
Well, this sucks. Got impatient and tried to use the DC unlocker method, but no way to pay them. Every method is rejected, probably because I am in China. Trying to buy some bitcoins now, will see how it goes
Darn, I am already thoroughly annoyed at this phone. Just had to jump through a million hoops, only to be waiting on a bitcoin transaction. Hopefully, once I finally get the bootloader unlocked I will feel better, but right now I am

Can China Version Can Be Flashed?

I am planning to purchase the Lava Red version which is only sold in China. Judging from the Chinese specs page, it appears the difference is the OS? So that means the bootloader may be unlocked, I can flash a custom ROM or kernel from XDA, and basically use it as if I had the international version correct?
Of course it can. I'm also buy the red lava version from Shenzen, China. The ROM itself is Hydrogen OS and I flash Oxygen OS. For tutorials, you can check it out at this link : http://downloads.oneplus.net/
Default bootloader is locked.

What do they charge for shipping to U.S.? Do you pay customs too?
I bought an International Red OP5T 8GB/128GB from GearBest,it has Oxygen OS installed,YMMV if bought else where:

I paid a lot less than current pricing.
If you subscribe/open a GearBest account & receive promotional e-mails,you'll see some special e-mail subscriber only pricing on the OP5T every 2-3 days.
FWIW,I paid $549.99 USD for my Red OP5T (I opted for express DHL shipping, added about $9.50 USD to the total cost,no other taxes or fees to the US) ........................

They're cheaper than what?
Not cheaper than what I paid...... to the contrary a bit more.
The 1st one I see in this link is an auction, not an actual selling price.....
As I mentioned, you'll get email only specials if you sign up for GearBest/open an account.
Otherwise, you will see higher pricing.

ok im all signed up. atm it's 755usd. if the discount and so on is all applied it'll come down to 400gpb (50gpb cheaper than those ebay ones) or 550usd near your price.
if i got that for 400gpb id be so happy. because the standard ones we can find for about 360gpb. only 40gpb or 55usd more for the red!!
thank you man, so i should just wait now for their emails. id wait a couple of weeks no problem.
just to confirm, these red ones are all the same model/version. they can all be rooted and custom rom?
also the finger print scanner on back is liek google pixel, just a scanner, not a power button like LG v20, v30, g6 etc? how do you find that? I had the lg v20 and I thought it was the best phone at the time ever (i came from samsung notes before they screwed up the note series and then put the rear sensors too high for my puny hands lol.....) as in I like the finger scanner and power as one. sometimes annoying to turn off phone screen though, thats why i think i'll like the oneplus 5t because the power button is separate, also i like that mute, vibrate and sound button, great feature without unlocking phone.
but the oneplus 6 is being announced in march? i could wait, but i kinda need a work phone now

You won't have to wait long for the emails to start rolling in, I get two every day like clockwork.
I've seen the OP5T on about 3-4 emails in the past 10 days or so. Ordered mine about a week - ten days ago, it arrived Thursday (1-7-18).
The FPR is just that, not a combination power button. The power button & SIM tray are on the right side, volume & mute on the left.
It shipped with OOS 7.1.1, Google Services on board, Bootloader locked.

what exactly does that mean, whats good about oxygen compared to the other?
also google services onboard means what exactly? and bootlocker locked means it's locked, does that mean we have to get trwp or someone to unlock the bootloader?
sorry for being hopeless lol

This is beginning to go off-topic.....
Take a look around the OP5T forum & Google search for answers to these questions, especially for Bootloader Unlocking / TWRP.
Regarding Google services on board, it means just that:
Phones solely intended for use in China do not have Google services installed. The international models do.
If you want to use anything Google related, buy an international model, unless sideloading/Bootloader unlocking/etc..... are 2nd nature to you.
If all of this is new to you, I highly suggest doing the same searches on YouTube, the how-to videos are a great tool to use.....

No,that isn't what I said or inferred:
I merely suggested getting an International version since it has Google services installed.
Apparently, either version can be bootloader unlocked & have TWRP/Root/ROMs.

oh wow, oneplus guys make it so thorough, other guys don't explain in that kind of detail with pictures. I wish everyone did it like this, I'm just not quite that savvy to always remember how to do these, especially on different devices.

I switch phones a lot,so,I'm probably the worst person to ask,LOL.
Outside of owning the predecessor, the OP5,for a couple weeks ( I switch phones a lot.....& often ) ,I've been away from OnePlus since their Original 1+1,a lot has changed since then............
Most new phones no longer have some of the features many of us grew accustomed to (Removable Battery/SD Card slot/I-R Blaster/Dual Front-facing speakers).
Those things aside, this phone,IMHO,hardly needs much,if anything done to it.
My one recommendation would be to use it as-is,explore the features/settings it ships with before diving in to the ROM scene.
I'm rollin' w/stock OOS Android 8.0 beta ATM, at least for a month or so,before I dive in to the modding scene.
@entwicklun
Here's a couple videos,one straight from OnePlus,glad I took a look myself:
Good idea I'll go stock for awhile and get accustomed! Nice find.
I had an iPhone 3 back in the day. the one thing I miss from IOS is their magnifying glass when you try to correct a typo, you press and hold on a word and it'll zoom in then you drag to where you want the cursor to be. it's so damn faster than android stock gotta constantly click exactly at characters to delete a letter or pinch my screen to bloody zoom in.
Samsung and LG don't do the zoom in stock or android I don't think. it looks like this : and can we do it on oneplus or do you know something we can flash? I don't think it's an app. I think it's in the os or rom?

Is there any way to Unlock the bootloader without xiaomi's unlocker

Hello,
i just got my max3 the other day and only now i begin to understand into what sort of spicy hell i've gotten myself into by buying a CN model. Unlike the fake "globals", mine was advertised as CN so it came with proper firmware and a locked bootloader. As much as i read around here in the past 3 hours, the best way to get near to proper global is to get EU rom, but for that i need TWRP and for that i need an unlocked bootloader.
The only way i found to unlock it is to use Xiaomi's official procedure, requesting permission and then waiting an undefined amount of time for it to pass through. Is it really the only way? Am i left at the mercy of our Chinese Overlords?
(I'm on 9.6.12.0 Stable if that changes anything. )

Unfortunately, yes, you have to play the waiting game. The CN version was the way to go for some when it was a 240 hour (10 day) wait time. Now that they've changed it to 720 hours (30 days), you're better off with global /eu rom versions because of the helpful guides and development of this forum.
it seems that i can't root with locked BL as well. guess i'm SOL.....
The saddest part is that i can't blame anyone but myself, so i can't even vent

u can see that it significantly slow down all custom roms development and forum activities

lol, happy to see someone like you will change to different branch soon. Xiaomi sell their phone at a cheap price, with the unlocking bootloader then install new rom for China version, their Global version cannot be sold with the amount as they want. I can understand their policy & method. "unnecessary long wait time"? If so, go directly to any Samsung or Apple store.
How do these unofficial resellers unlock the CN ROM phones and install a fake global ROM? This has been happening for ages.
I would rather wait for a reseller with a proper global ROM and a global version. I did that with my Mi Max 1, it took a bit of waiting compared to getting the Chinese release but it's meant less hassles.
Global version is out now anyhow so no need to wait. Mine came sealed in box with global writing on side and included a UK /Hong Kong 3 pin charger in the box.
Still waiting for 720 hrs though lol as want the EU rom on it. Global 9.6.6 is OK for now though.

Į envy the deal that you got. Ah well, live and learn.... Cn Edition never again.
I bought the Chinese 128gb version from Tradingshenzhen and got it pre-unlocked and pre-flashed with an old build of Xiaomi.eu.
All I had to do was to manually flash the latest Xiaomi.eu build via TWRP and all was good.
Not only did it work fine, it also saved me the long waiting time for the bootloader unlock.

Not sure what u're getting at, I bought it in official store locally with official price. The problem is stocks are somehow "leaked" to non-official dealer in much lower price. And u think this will actually make those non-official dealer wait!? LOL, all xiaomi's hurting are its true users.
I am new to all of this as well as new to the Mi Max 3. I purchased the global version of the phone. All I wanted to do was root the phone so I could get into the settings to change the volume values to increase volume. Pardon me for using the incorrect terminology but I hope you guys understand what I am getting at. I did this with my Samsung Galaxy Note and was able to really increase the speakerphone volume for phone calls.
With all of the above being said. I tried to unlock the boot loader and got the message saying that I needed to wait 360 hours. If I have a global phone do I still have to unlock the boot loader and wait the 15 days?
DO you guys have any suggestions for me to help me get into the volume codes in the phone in order to change them? That is my only goal because I need to amplify the speakerphone volume for phone calls as I only use the speakerphone given how big the phone is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm trying to figure out how you only have 15 days wait. I just tried to unlock mine yesterday and i'm at 30 days wait. I dunno why they make us go through all of this but it's extremely lame.
I have just under 200 hours left.
If you have 720 hours, make sure you have an account that's been open for a while (I have an authorized account? Since I've had it for two years with my Mi5s Plus)
Make sure you disconnect devices that exist on the Mi Cloud account, bind the account to your Mi device ONLY, no other devices.
It will say 720 hours but give it a day and it should shoot down, if not, use a VPN to get into China, re-bind the account and wait a day (don't need the VPN active whilst waiting).
I don't know, it seemed to have shot down with me after it resetting to 720 hours, maybe the system picked up I have a 2 year account and reduced it?
Used miunlock took on Friday and gave me 208 hours (8 days) mi max 3 global version

7T vs Realme x2 Pro

Just noticed that this device will be available in Europe and the UK in November and am struggling to think of any reason to go for the 7T over this, other than OxygenOS,
This thing seems to have everything, including 64mp camera,20x zoom,50 watt charging,90hz display, dual speakers, the list goes on ,and it's much cheaper than the 7T,
Also Realme is under Oppo just like OnePlus
https://www.realme.com/eu/realme-x2-pro
Bumping, in case anyone has an opinion on this or has handled both these phones.
No one knows, until it's available. There's a dude on the X2Pro forum who's got it and sharing feedback on the phone. I too was debating whether to wait, but because of the recent 11.11 sales snagged a 7T for cheap. Loving it so far.
If you can wait, why not?

The different reviews I saw seem to say that the OP7T camera is a bit better.... But man, this 50W charging... And apparently lots of Realme phones get OOS custom ROMs... Imagine an X2 pro with OOS... I'm still waiting to receive my OP7T from China so the price is similar with an X2 Pro but if I had bought an OP7T at the official European price, I would send it back right away to get an X2 pro.
Just my 2 cents

I would agree, €600 in Europe and you only get the 8/128 model.Get it in China you can get it much cheaper or even the 8/256 model for around €500.
For me personally I just don't like the idea of them opening the device and flashing OOS on the China version. I like my phone to be new, untouched, factory sealed,(though with Oneplus pricing I am thinking I might have to get over that)
The Realme though is excellent value for €500 for 12/256 though your taking a hit in the camera processing and the software experience overall

Them? Who? You can buy X2Pro with Oxygen OS?
As far as I've read, like others have said, Color OS and the camera are the downsides of X2Pro. But once the Dev community gets going, we can always flash a custom rom so one issue is sorted. I'm not so sure about the camera.
And 7T may get a price cut once X2 Pro is available everywhere, who knows.

True ,but this is where my OCD and paranoia kicks in,who's to know how long that phone was used, did it drop, was it scratched, what kind of defects did it pick up.
But besides that, the prices are great so small price perhaps if the phone arrives safe

yeah it's a bit different for me since I bought it from a local seller who imported the phone sealed from China, then before he unbox and install ROM I received real time image of it still sealed with imei. So pretty much the phone was new out of box and it was like a friend helped me install the ROM, no worries.
So maybe try to do that to help with the OCD
I believe some Chinese online resellers accept not to open the sealed box if you ask for it.
Someone convince me to go for the 7T.
Where I stay, the X2 Pro is about $75 cheaper. But it was weird niggles like fingerprint not working after you unlock the bootloader and obviously the dev community is lacking.
My main concern about 7T is the battery life, especially with 90Hz. Someone tell me this isn't an issue. I certainly value dev/AOSP roms, though currently there's not much going on here except a couple of kernels (good ones though). I suppose this device needs more time for the ROMs scene to gather pace, hopefully..

The main reason there is not that much custom ROMs for now is that there is not working TWRP yet. There is still one on XDA, Omnirom, which seems to be pretty functional. Honestly battery life is perfect on this phone, and warp charge 30T makes you stop thinking about it IMHO.
I read somewhere that unlocking the bootloader on X2 Pro disables the under display FP scanner. I think that's a big deal if you're into flashing and stuff.
Such a turnoff for an otherwise amazing phone.
I suspect once more phones start shipping with Android 10 (maybe from Jan), TWRP will be fixed.
Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger in a few hours.
Someone tell me green/etc tint on the display isn't an issue [emoji14][emoji849]
Edit: And buy, i did.

Question How to convert ROG Phone 6 CN to Global?

Hey everyone,
i have a new ROG phone 6 tencent CN version, id like to convert to Globla firmware, can i anyone share steps to do so? i have the global firmware zip downloaded from Asus, but not sure if i need to unlock bootloader, and how to flash that zip.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Use the phone with cn rom for a while until official files are released don't do anything without making sure or you will brick your device we don't know asus plans for now

Thanks for the reply mate. I can see the bootloader Unlock tool and global firmware as well as source code on Asus website for rog 6, what other files do we need to wait for ?
Also, I would use the phone with cn firmware but problem is google / firebase notifications don't work on that firmware , as is the issue with many Chinese phones with google services manually installed.

You'll have to excuse me for being so blunt, but...
You're not asking for help and offering a donation. You're asking if you can pay someone to convert your phone, which is a violation of the rules.
The rest of the original post is also irrelevant, as it was posted in the ROG Phone 5 section. What appeared to be a typo was actually asking about a different phone.

You're not asking for help and offering a donation. You're asking if you can pay someone to convert your phone, which is a violation of the rules. There are two guides already here on how to do it (one for each series), along with hundreds of posts where people hastily attempted to fly through them and wiped their IMEI. Of the three threads you spammed this message on, one even happened to be the guide for yours.
Repair ROG Phone 5S through edl firmware, no need to unlock Bootloader to modify COUNTRY CN to WW
Success is disgusted by some people, and will not share any files for free in the future.

Hi Mr Twisted Umbrella
I Appreciate your response. I think there is a misunderstanding. I offered a donation for someone to create a guide for ROG phone 6, which can be posted on XDA so hundreds of others can benefit as well. Sorry if it sounded like i wanted to pay someone to do my work.
I have already read through all of the forums that i have spammed (apologies again) and also the link you just sent above. All of them are written for ROG 5 and 5S. All the batch files and etc reference ROG phone 5 and 5S, hence why i wasnt sure whether i am safe to use the exact same guide and files with my ROG Phone 6.
I didnt want to brick a brand new rog phone 6. hence why I asked for help here, apologies if it came off the wrong way.
Anyway, id appreciate any help anyone can give me. i currently have a useless rog 6 sitting with me as push notifications dont work with CN firmware

Just wait for someone to post a guide rog 6 isn't available in my country yet
Could you please tell how much ram and storage is tencent rog 6?
And the price?
Tencent ROG 6 comes in several variants:
8GB RAM/128GB* Flash(~700 USD)
12/128*(~700-800 USD)
12/256(~900-1000 USD)
16/512(~1100-1200 USD)
18/512 Pro(~1400+ USD)
All regular models are available in black or white, Pro is only available in white. *=AFAIK, the 128GB models are exclusive to the Chinese market, all other lines should be starting with 12/256 as the base model.
This is based on what I found looking around on AliExpress at the time of posting, prices may vary.

I think i will either have to find a way to get Google services running properly with FCM notifications (currently have google services installed but can not register for push notifications), or sell the device as its currently useless with no proper google services or global firmware.
I purchased from Giztop, check out their website. i always buy new devices from them, it takes ages for retailers here in New Zealand to get these sorts of exotic phones in if they ever do.

Hi, I bought rog 6 from Alibaba. The Tencent 256gb model. I asked the seller to flash global ROM. He did it for me. The phone arrived today, works perfectly. Only thing is, I'm getting that "hardware stub" notification which says "the installed firmware does not match the device, please note you may not receive OTA updates"
Any idea how to remove that annoying message?
I purchased a ROG 5 last year from wondamobile. They too flashed global ROM for me and somehow the Rog 5 didn't have that annoying hardware stub message.
Anyway, my rog 6 works perfectly with ww global ROM, except that annoying notification
The method is out. Update your #1 post to a tutorial?

I purchased a ROG 5 last year from wondamobile. They too flashed global ROM for me and somehow the Rog 5 didn't have that annoying hardware stub message.
Anyway, my rog 6 works perfectly with ww global ROM, except that annoying notification

I sent the phone back. But there's no solution as of yet. You can uninstall hardware stub services to remove the notification but then you won't be able to change your refresh rate. Im sticking with my rog 5 , it's got better speakers & battery life is the same. Also, speakers have been downgraded on the rog 6. I think asus didn't do a good job with rog 6
