[app] Goodbye navigation bar [no root] - Moto Z Play Themes, Apps, and Mods

XDA developers rewarded us with an app that hides the navigation bar and matches it with the iPhone x
[the app has been updated and fixed some bugs]

Thanks bro, i didn't knew before I saw this post

Thanks, I tried it, but app is very, very buggy. Sometimes navigation line dissapear and phone can not be used.

Most frustrating is, if you use keyboard, the navbar floats above it :/

This app is buggy on official Oreo, after screen unlocked, it always disappears.

This bug have been fixed, an update should be released today on the play store.

It's working fine for me. A bit unresponsive sometimes but overall a pleasant change.

If the animation was smoother, I would keep it.

I'm using it totally transparent, I don't see the pill at all.

After last update it's finally usable.

excellent work, runs perfect on moto z play Oreo. Each time I come closer to reliving the experience of my palm pre3. someone knows how to get the multitasking

Oh My God! This thing is SuperB!

Next update will bring OnePlus gestures among other bug fixes and improvements, hitting play store very soon

New Moto Z 3 style would be great!

I just noticed that it does slow down the animation.

I made this app for educational purpose
Glad to hear if someone likes it
On my old SGS, everything works great, the animation is smooth just as without SA
Stock browser the same
So far, only ppl with SGS2 and TranformerPad complain about it...
A few days ago I bought SGS2 and I don't see any slowing down
Probably it is related with soft version, I have KH3 (I didn't test on old firmware)

Good Job mate, Just tested the new version and there is no graphichs glitches.
Unfortunately I don't have Galaxy S2 now but I tested it on HTC Sensation which is suppose to be less performer than the S2 because of HTC Sense and had no problems what so ever with it as before the graphics seems slower and animation is jumpy.
Best regards

Nice app.
The Galaxy S II has a blue tint and I wanted to adjust the colour temperature to be more accurate. Though whites are now actually white, it looks like there's a thick weird tint, kind of like a beige layer placed on top of the bluish under layer.
I was wondering if providing a negative value options for colours would help?
Cheers and great work on the app.
Seriously cool app

Good Lock

Hey guys,
I currently have a Galaxy Note 4 running Android Marshmallow and Samsung's Good Lock UI which I have really grown to love, It just looks really neat.
I have pre-ordered my Note 7, and while it's rocking the new Grace UX, I just don't like the look of the status bar and notification shade compared to what is offered by Good Lock, it doesn't look as 'stock'.
So my question is, can the Note 7 run the Good Lock UI without issues, while maintaining compatibility with the iris scanner?
I suppose when we get the device on hand we can test it out

It does work with GraceUX or Note 7 ported roms already. About the iris scanner, I bet they'll release an update for it if it's not already baked on it.
Anyone get this working on Note 7 yet? Its not showing in the Galaxy apps store for me.

What this guy said,
Just can't use iris....
However, this has some cool lockscreen/launcher items in it that I think I am liking (first time user, long time touchwiz hater)
Status Bar is still old
It installed fine for me on Note 7 but the status bar is still Touchwiz for some reason. The good lock status bar only shows on the lock screen and when pulled down. Anyone else getting the same thing?

I am not sure what this means? I had not used good lock on a different samsung device, so maybe I am totally missing out on a different status bar? I can tell you that my status bar on my normal homescreen is THE SAME as when pulled down on my lock screen. If yours is not, maybe something is up?

Good lock is awesome. Would be nice to be updated with quick settings toggles such as blue light filter. Also, I prefer to have AOD show my notifications.
I've downloaded good lock from Samsung store for S6. After installation, it said to restart phone and after 5 mins it's still on Verizon logo. Does it takes that long to set up?
I have version 24.0.11 and no problem with iris scanner...
by the way is this the latest version of good lock... and what is the best place to get it
Yeah the customizations are quite nice with Good Lock. It's a bummer that it breaks AOD though. I really liked seeing notifications missed.
New Version is released with Note 7 compatibility.

There’s no differences even now with latest developer beta of P,so it’s the same thing will get imo.
On the other hand OnePlus both of screen and on screen gestures and gestures navigation has done magnificent job.
The only difference between iPhone X and OnePlus is that with OnePlus with recent app gestures from the center bottom of device to get rid of app is by swipe left or right but on iPhone X is by swipe up.
But the basic idea remains the same both of them.
Android P is totally different and half baked.
Btw if you want iPhone X style with swipe up gesture from bottom at recent app to get rid off it, you can get Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X that has the same as Apple.
To me both implementation iPhone X and OnePlus are superior to stupid Google Android P gesture navigation.

These reviews are from the first and second beta. They fixed a lot of thing about that. The recent switcher is far the best implementation ever. I really like this and I hope OnePlus will implement the standard version not which is presented at the P beta for the 6. The assistant shortcut really missing from that version..

I really like current implementation and not Google one.
The only welcome change would have been the same as IPhone X as alternative that already Vivo and Oppo implemented with their new flagship.
Having a touch button at the center bottom is totally frustrating also back button presents too.
I’m not taking full advantage of full screen as I’m having an empty navigation bar what’s the point of having touch button navigation bar area on gestures navigation system.
Gesture navigation meaning no any kind button to be pressed within screen.
Also not everyone using Google assistant to me is totally useless so why should I have that touch button over there.

I've been using Swipe Navigation from playstore for a few months now and really like it. Think it costs 1.49 but there's tons of customization options.
Only drawback is upon reboot it takes like a minute before the app starts up. Not a huge hardship though.

Normally I'd fully agree but having used both stock and Swipe app, I can objectively say there's no perceptible difference in execution of the gestures nor are there glitches. Plus you get the bonus of adding more (for me it's a kill app gesture--swipe up & hold on right).

OTA 10.3.3.0 global stable

Just downloaded and installed OTA 10.3.3 on my Mi 9 SE.
Been looking forward to this update because I had read that the app drawer was being "enabled". The only thing I really hate about MIUI 10 is having my apps all over the place.
But.....I am seeing no settings for enabling the app drawer. I see I now have 2 grid size options but see no options for app drawer anywhere.
Anybody else have experience with this?
Can u please try permanent notifications? Thanks...
Downloading the update. Will post any new noticeable features here not mentioned in the changelog. :fingers-crossed:
No permanent notifications still, sad.
1080p 60 fps is enabled now.
The panorama selfie feature doesnt seem to work.
Phone feels a bit more responsive and fast.

Annoying Ass Issues w/ Mate 20X.. Hope You Guys Can Help

I'm planning to buy this phone. But bugs keep me from buying it. I shouldnt spend $700 with stupid issues it shouldnt have. Hope you guys know of a fix....
1. Can I turn off auto brightness without rebooting? Why no toggle for it in status bar?
2. No dark notifications... why aren't notifications dark?
3. Why does the EMUI look so outdated?
4. Some features not working with 3rd party launchers like Nova. Is there a fix?
Dont mean to sound like an ass. But I shouldnt have to invest almost a grand for a phone with issues other phones dont have. Its ridiculous. If you guys have solutions to these issues please let me know. Hope to join the huawei family without them.
.
The fact thet you're here in XDA tells me that you play more with your phone than keeping it bone stock.
1 - Nope, auto brightness isnalways ON which I find stupid.
2 - There is Dark mode that turn the system UI black including Notification panel but not Notification Banner.
3 - I hate EMUI
4 - You can't change launcher on most recent update and there no fix to that. You can on older version like 9.1.0.120 but you need an unlocked bootloader and root.
So do your self a favor and stay away from any Huawei Device and go with Oneplus or Xiaomi
Have bought this phone (UK version) but yet to recieve it.
Not being able to change launcher, is that an issue just for the china version or the international version too on the latest update? That would be a biggie.
Also are there any issues with notifications not getting through all the time (an affliction a lot of Huawei phones suffer from). I had the Honor note 8 (Chinese) and this issue made it infuriating to use. A phone without notifications working properly is a dumb rather than a smart phone in my book.
Lastly one of the best bits about the Honor Note 8 was the ability to clear the notifications by double tapping on the finger print sensor. Do you have that on the Mate 20 X?
I'm planning to buy this phone. But bugs keep me from buying it. I shouldnt spend $700 with stupid issues it shouldnt have. Hope you guys know of a fix....

Dunno, brightness never bothered me

who said that ? THEMES !! it comes will all sort of colors, just download huawei theme manager from playstore, it also including fonts as well
there is also a theme editor from the playstore where you mix and match and come up with your favorite theme all from your phone.
3. Why does the EMUI look so outdated?
because it is ! next month they are releasing a new version where they copied alot from OneUI, which is a good thing and they focused on smoothness and cleaner UI
4. Some features not working with 3rd party launchers like Nova. Is there a fix?
i am using nova, i think this is a chinese version issue not global

i have it for almost 4 months, and i got the note10+ with my renewal and trust me, i sold it without even opening the box. nothing comes close to Mate 20x as a complete package these days, its really fast, battery lasts forever, great screen, amazing camera, amazing charging speeds and one of a kind speakers.

You can toggle it ON/OFF whenever. It does not require a reboot. Adaptive brightness turns ON anytime the device is rebooted. It is not such a big deal do not worry about it if you are going to buy the device.
