I can enter in these submenus and after i make some change there and return back to Location menu, they are still greyed out. Thank you in advance and sorry if i'm asking something which is already answered somewhere else!

Facebook Live Profiles - Sync Problem (Dutty V3 Ship)

Hi guys,
I've searched the forum to find posts related to sync'ing problems with facebook live profiles, of which the actions to resolve these bugs have already been put in place already in Dutty's V3 ROM.
To be more specific... when I get the list of Live Profiles on the screen, the photos for the facebook users start appearing one by one as it refreshes. However if i scroll down the list of users, it appears to have only have refreshed the users that are in view (so when i scroll down, all these users have no picture)... I gave it time, but nothing, so I pressed Refresh in the bottom left and it refreshed those username and displayed their pictures... but having scrolled back to my original position, the pictures have gone again.
What it appears is that the refresh is only updating the facebook users that are visable on the screen but not the whole list.
Is anyone having this problem? Or might have an idea how to solve it?
Thanks,
WizzKidd
A few people on the forum have suggested to others to "change the Data Connection so to download data automaticaly under updates and status/menu"
and,
"press update in the data settings menu and when it starts updating press home to get away from the updates and status page. It should carry on updating (the same way it would if you had it set to auto update) but you won't get the crashing if you're not on that page."
I cant seem to find these options in the Data Connections (under the Comm Manager, unless im looking in the wrong place). Can someone help me out here?
Thanks,
WizzKidd

That was me that suggested that on the Dutty V3 thread. The data settings are under all people/updates and events/menu/data connection settings
I think the op was asking about the way the profile images refresh though. This is an issue, but I would imagine an intentional one, so as hundreds of images are not being loaded into memory every time contacts is open. The more contacts you have with photos, the more likely it would be to slow down your phone I guess.
EDIT: Oh! ha ha, you are the original poster. Doh!

Quick question to everyone running FroYo

After playing with a a few ROM's, I have noticed that the Privacy Tab from the settings menu is missing from the rooted stock ROM's.
Please let us know if you have the Privacy Tab and what ROM you are running.
The privacy tab isn't there anymore in Froyo and it isn't really needed. If i remember right there were only 2 settings in there, factory reset and something about using my location in google search. They just moved those settings to other tabs in settings.
The google search one can be found in settings>seach>google search then you'll see "Use My Location." The other factory reset was moved to either "Security" or "SD & Phone Storage" in settings, but not sure which one.
But nothing to worry about, nothing has been removed except a tab in settings, everything in there was just moved to other places in settings.
Thank you.
Really, what I needed from that tab was the ability to change a Google Account that has already been linked to the phone without having to remove it completely. Google's own help documents pointed to the privacy tab as being the way to change it.
Thats weird. I was asked this question at work yesterday and had an evo that was still on 2.1 to look at and all that was in privacy setting was the google search thing and the factory reset.
I've only heard of removing an account to take care of what you're asking for, but i'll check and see if i can find any other solution.
what about menu > settings > accounts and sync ?
What about it?

[Q] Remove places from Google Now

I used to go to a place twice a week, so I chose it on Google Now to tell me what the traffic was and to show it.
But now I won't go anymore to that place... but I have no clue how to tell the phone that I don't want any more info on that!
How can I remove it?
Log into your Google account on a computer, and go to https://maps.google.com/locationhistory.
Edit* Just go to the above url, then click on the "Map" button.
Ok, I have erased all the location history dates for that place. I hope it is removed now.

HTC 'Media Servers' Function help

Hi all.
Just looking for some help from those who have used the 'Media Servers' function on the HTC M8s.
Media Servers can be opened through the options menu of the music/gallery app, probably others. If you click the 3 dot options menu again you get 3 choices? Tell me if I'm wrong.
Refresh, Collapse All, Top of Folder
I'm trying to explore these options/functions but my phone's simply being a pain. Refresh is working though, just re-searches for servers, but the other 2 options are not responding currently. Simply put, what are 'Collapse all' and 'Top of Folder' meant to do? I just want to know what is meant to happen here thanks!
Any help is really appreciated!

My watch says it can't answer personal questions.

Hello, all.
When I use Google Assistant on my Huawei Watch 2 and include personal information (e.g. "Take me home."), it gives me the following error message:
Actually, I need permission before I can answer personal questions about you. To change your settings, just open the Google Home app on your phone. Once that's done, ask me again!

This started happening maybe a month back or so. I know that I was able to ask personal questions at first when I got the watch. I have tried looking through the settings on the Google Home app, but I haven't found anything relevant. The watch doesn't even show up as a device alongside my Google Homes, Chromecast, and phone.
I originally had a Nexus 6P, and I recently upgraded to a Pixel 2 XL. I don't know if that has anything to do with what's happening, but I would find that pretty strange. I'm not sure exactly when this started happening, so I don't know if there's any correlation between changing phones and this issue. I just checked, and the watch says the system is up-to-date, and all installed apps are up-to-date.
I was hoping that an update would be pushed to the watch that would fix this, but it's been a long time, and I still have the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Lets try...
Hi,
lets try the following method:
In your Google App on your Smartphone go to Settings -> Accounts & Privacy -> Google Activity Controls
What does it show here?
Is it the right E-Mail-Address?
If you want to use personalized orders, Google needs to track your information. E.g if you want to say "show me the home rout", it has to analyze, where your home is.
As far as I know, Google does this by checking, where your phone is (via GPS) most of the time - but thats just an idea.
Hope I could help you!

Hello.
I just checked, and the email is correct. All of the options are set to "On."
I guess I should add that when I tell my phone to take me home, that still works fine. Also, my Google Homes know where my work is. So, it shouldn't be an issue where Google isn't able to query for that personal information. I have that enabled for my account. But for some reason, I can't do it from my watch.
Any clue yet?
Did anybody figure out how to fix this?
Many others have posted the exact same problem.
