Nokia 6.1 model TA-1043 problem with sound. - Nokia 6.1 (2018) Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have brand new Nokia 6.1 model TA-1043, latest Android 8.1 May update, and I'm facing the problem with sound, both with speaker and headphones. When the Volume is below 50% scale and you listening some music with a low-level intro, like Pink Floyd Echoes or Pink Floyd Speak To Me, both sounds from speaker or headphones act like you using a heavy setup of Noise Gate Compression. I've made some mp3 example with Pink Floyd Echoes flac, processing Noise Gate plugin -40dB approx. I don't know is it the problem with my device or is global.

High frequency sound from speaker?

has anybody else noticed the high frequency sound(very high pitch) coming from the speaker when playing music from the music app, going to test from youtube etc now?
its more apparent on some tracks then others but for example on "Jay-z - kingdom come" (full volume) it gets to a point where i cant listen, there is a high frequency sound coming up and from listening to the song it seems to be there instead of the base. Not sure if its the terrible quality of the speakers, im on t-mob and i hear they limit the volume so could that be having an effect.
also let me add it can be like those teenage deterrent devices they put in shops where they play a high pitch noise only teenagers can hear , as with age the ear doesn't pick up as high frequency
testing out a bit , it sounds like instead of base there's a high pitch sound being emitted, is it my device , how is the music player on max volume on you guys devices?
Which device do you own? I have noticed something like that in my Acer Neo Touch S200... Have you found any cure?
No high-pitched noise from my Desire.
I've got this. I does it when the phone is on silent and it receives a text or call (something where a sound would normally be played)
I noticed it today. it seems to happen only when charging!

the sound that comes out in general is way too high in the treble department, unfortunately cant find a good player with a good equalizer to test out if its the phone settings or the speaker

i tried it with Jay Zs Kingdom Come, its very apparent

Audio Hiss Problems on the One X?

Couldn't see a specific topic on this issue so thought I'd start one up.
In certain situations I'm getting a very noticeable amount of audio hiss when playing sound over headphones via the One X. So far I've tried the following headphones with the following results:-
Apple iPod headphones - low level of hiss when any sound being played (music, streaming radio or volume up/down chime) followed by an audible crackle as the hiss stops around 0.5 to 1 second after the sound stops.
Sennheiser HD 457 Open back Headphones - very low level of hiss when any sound being played (music, streaming radio or volume up/down chime) followed by a slightly audible crackle as the hiss stops around 0.5 to 1 second after the sound stops.
Sennheiser MM50 earphones with Mic - high level of hiss when any sound being played (music, streaming radio or volume up/down chime) followed by an audible crackle as the hiss stops around 0.5 to 1 second after the sound stops.
Sony DR-BT22 Bluetooth Headphones - very high level of hiss when any sound being played (music, streaming radio or volume up/down chime) followed by an audible crackle as the hiss stops around 0.5 to 1 second after the sound stops.
Is anyone else able to replicate these issues? Is this something that can be fixed in software? The constant hiss and crackle when using my preferred headphones is really starting to annoy me
I'm not getting any hiss with my sennheiser 555s - in fact, its quite transparent at all volumes. There is a slight pop about 1 second after ending a track on any player - stock music app, doubletwist, grooveshark

Noticed this as well at low volume on speech based Podcasts, it's really annoying.
Different headphones seem to filter it out better but with my usual in the ear headphones it is unbearable.
So the One X does not seem to be better than my own SGS2.
Oh well, I was thinking of getting this. Would probably skip it now. I don't have hopes of LG or Huawei or Motorola delivering something to rival this or the SGS3, so I will probably wait for the SGS3.
Yes, I've noticed this too, with my Bose QC 3's. I assumed it was something to do with the noise cancelling on the headphones but maybe it's a fault with the device?

I get a whine on my car speakers that I didn't get on my desire, only when there is no audio playing though

Same problem with my Sennheiser CX300II
I don't know if it's hardware or software...
Got some new headphones this morning (JVC HAFX1X) and with these the hiss is sooooo bad
Same here. It went good untill i plugged phone into the charger. Every 2 minutes it hisses..
Then rebooted phone while charging, problem gone.
Mine is charging now and I'm listening to music for the last 4 hours - I don't hear anything.
Could it depend on the player used?
My headphones do not have any active noise cancellation.
I don't listen to music so I can't comment on that but I do notice an audible pop / crack noise sometimes when a sound is played. It doesn't happen all the time but a good example is when I use Twitter and pull it down to refresh. There are two sound effects that play, one as you pull it down and one as it refreshes. The noise happens after you pull it down for the first sound only. I'm only mentioning it here in case the two are related as I've not seen anyone else mention a pop / crack noise.
Sounds like audio processing thread is being run at too low priority.

Original headphones and noise

Just tried out my original headphones, and they don't sound too bad. But, when I'm listening to music I hear some noise. When I stop the musicplayer and close it (youtube, mp3, you name it, even when the earphones are plugged in to another device) I still hear this noise. However, after a few second (after stopping the music) this noise disappears and the headphones are quiet... Is this normal?

[Q] Lollipop: Problem playing HE-AAC audio through Bluetooth

Hello folks,
it's been quite a long time that I've been here. That may be because I was quite happy with my phone during the last year.
However, with Sony's Lollipop update for my Z1c, I ran into a really annoying problem.
Nearly my complete collection of audio CDs has been ripped to HE-AAC files. It was never a problem to play them on my mobile phone, not with my Z1c and not with my prior phone Acro S. For quite a long time, I'm using Bluetooth to transmit the audio to my car's audio system, to some headphones and to a small battery-driven desktop speaker.
Since the Lollipop update, all HE-AAC audio played via Bluetooth becomes distorted and is very ugly to hear. It works fine when played through the phone's own speaker. All other files (I have) are played fine also via Bluetooth - including regular AAC, mp3 and so on. The problem appears with the Walkman app as well as with Google Music. It is not present when playing with VLC (which apparently has its own decoder).
I have attached a sample file to this post so that you can hear what I mean. I've also attached one AAC file resulting in this distortion. (Please respect the copyright of this song and just use it for this research only and delete it afterwards!)
Sony's support says that I should reflash (aka repair) my phone's OS. However, I guess that the problem is not limited to my phone. Has anybody of you heart of such a problem or maybe experienced it yourself? Could anyone be so kind to check if it happens with your phone, too (Sony OS and maybe Cyanogen or likewise, too)?
Regards, Mattes
I have the same audio issue as everyone else. I have the Sony Xperia Z1 - It seems that when I have the equalizer and sound effects activated the sound gets distorted after a while. So, the only solution for now is to disable equalizer and sound effect off. It all started after the lollipop update. It has nothing to do with earphones or headphones as I have tried multiple from Bose, Sony, Creative Labs and others and the sound is distorted on all of them.
Edit: It's working well with dolby patch
That actually seems very similar to the issue I kept having with my Z1 Compact and when in a call via bluetooth connected to my car... it would get super distorted every few minutes and made the call impossible to hear. Music did play fine, but would skip every so often. Going to try disabling all that audio stuff and hope it works!

Question Stereo speakers strange sound

So I got the phone yesterday. Very exciting experience to be honest. But there's something that I don't quite understand. When I play a YouTube video, a song or whenever the stereo speakers are used, they make a strange continuous sound or something, it's not loud, it's just there. I don't know if this is the way it works on all these phones, or should I go and change it for another one. Please let me know if all of you guys have this sound of nothing coming from the stereo speakers.
I'm getting the strange sound as well when the speakers are used. Its pretty much there regardless on what volume I'm on (Except 0 volume of course) but it stops when I pause a video/music. Then when I start playing again, the sound starts to come back.

it is dolby atmos problem you don't like that noise , going to sound option and turn off the dolby atmos.
Hmm... No problem at all with my device (stock MIUI 12.0.5.0 Global), with or without Dolby Atmos.
I suggest further testing with apps such this:
Function Generator
I have same problem with my F3, weird noise while using Dolby Atmos on speakers, did not check on headset.
No issue when Atmos is off.
