Unable to make calls: "Selected Network (Digi.Mobil) not available" + changed imei

And have a notification as well:

- Tried to select my carrier manually, change network mode to GSM/3G/WCDMA, no luck
- Tried doing a ping test, "IP address not reachable"
- tried to Turn on SMS over IMS and reboot, still nothing
Device information displays the following:

I would really appreciate your opinion on what could be wrong and how to fix this.
Thanks!!

Have you tried flashing or re-flashing the phone with the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com?

Not yet, I thought there is something I can do about the modem before flashing the whole thing, the problem is I'm kinda noob when it comes to fleshing, I did it once while almost bricking my phone
Could you please point me to some resources on how to do it?

Btw, I am using a mac, so odin isn't easy and secure to use on this computer (trough emulator, maybe). I was browsing the forum for an SD card install but no luck.

Is the phone running a stock or custom ROM?
This thread may help to flash a stock ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696

Its stock 4.3. Thanks for the link, I've tried downloading the original rom from samobile, but it keeps getting interrupted after 10-20 minutes gonna keep trying. Is there eventually another custom mod worth trying if I fail to download the original rom?
Thanks!

You are sure that gt-n7100 is the model # shown in download mode too?

To your question, if I understand right, my model #:

The model number can be faked in the ROM which is why I always boot into download mode to confirm the model number.

Wow, thanks for the suggestion, download screen shows the following:
Product name: GT-n7100
Custom binary download: Yes (2 counts)
Current binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Knox Warranty: VOID: 1

This means its custom?

Any luck? I see that the phone is running a custom ROM or is rooted?

Hi mate,
Just managed to flash it using the latest rom available, thankfully it went quite smooth.
Unfortunatelly I still face the: "Selected Network (Digi.Mobil) not available" I'm wondering what else could I do? Btw my imei is: 004999010640000/01, found a post on xda that this is some kind of a generic imei. Do you have any idea?
Thanks!

Do you have a back up of the efs folder? Do you know the original IMEI?

Unfortunately no backup and my original motherboard was replaced about a year ago, and from then on I don't know the exact IMEI.

If you had the original IMEI, you could take it to a cell repair shop to change back to the original imei.
Not sure how to fix the issue since you don't have a EFS backup.

Oh wait, I still have the original IMEI on the box that came with my note 2 when I bought it. Is it possible to use that IMEI for the refurbished mainboard?
Thanks!

I was referring to the imei for the refurbished motherboard.

Bought a SG3 off of ebay - IMEI Unknown

Long story short I bought a SGH-I747 off of ebay and I was just going to look up my IMEI to unlock it and nothing showed up, so I went into the settings manually and it says unknown under IMEI...Of course the seller made no mention of this on the auction page.
Dont know whats wrong but it looks like something may have gone wrong while he was rooting it. I dont want to go through the trouble of shipping it back to him so I'm hoping this can be fixed I took some screenshots of which kernel hes using...Any help would be appreciated lt me know if you need more info

Yes it's possible to fix. Take out the battery and get the IMEI number on the sticker, then follow the IMEI injection steps in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801997
I backed up my IMEI following other steps in that thread no problem, so the injection steps should work.
Good luck!
Flash a different modem. It might be a Canadian sgs3 and he flashed an att modem. Try flashing a Canadian 747m modem and an att normal 747 modem and see if it restores it.

Yes, flash an AT&T modem first. You can find them all here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
If that doesn't work, try to use Odin to restore to stock. There's a thread on that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
And if that doesn't work, then try the thread on IMEI injection. As far as safe goes, about the worst thing that could happen is you lose your IMEI. And if you made it to this point, then that's already happened.
Just my 2 cents worth.

[Galaxy Note II GT-N7100] Failed network registration and generic IMEI change

Probably this is a common issue, and you may want to kill me after opening a new thread for this. I'm so sorry, at the moment I'm very worried because my phone suddenly lost network services and I have no idea how to deal with these things, I'm really bad at flashing and such thing.
Problem is that after a year and half since I bought my Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, suddenly today this issue appeared.
The device has root access (not performed by me) with Kingo SuperUser/SuperSU. Once I realized it was rooted, I googled and proceeded to perform a factory reset (restarted device with power + volume up + home buttons, which leaded me to android system recovery 3e), which didn't help at all.
If I dial *#06# the IMEI it shows 004999010640000 / 01 but the one I see under the battery slot is (2014) IMEI: 359xxx/05/853xxx/4 (I don't know if this data is relevant, just trying to help).
I found this thread in this forum, which seems to be the same problem I'm facing right now, but I don't have any backup of those files, plus I don't know how to flash this specific phone :crying:
I'll really appreciate any kind of help you can provide me to fix my phone.
Here's a screenshot of the device info (it's in spanish but some names are easily understandable)

Thanks for the advice!
I haven't tried anything but a hard reset. I don't know how to flash a phone, and I'm pretty sure I can screw it up if I try xD
I just heard about sammobile.com, but I don't know how to proceed even on that website.
Anyway, I hope there's something I can try before making that kind of "flashing"
If the imei doesn't get restored after flashing the latest stock ROM from Sammobile.com, you would need to try other methods to fix there imei problem.
Common issue... More than you imagine. Happens to me all the time. But I have one solution in my case Wich is just flash the EFS partition in my previous nandroid backup, but since to be you only were rooted and not custom recovery, I guess you don't have a nandroid backup. Only solution here is flash thru Odin and all will be good.

I get your point, but I don't want to flash the ROM if I'm not sure that shall fix the IMEI Plus, I don't know how to do it, and what to download from that website.
