So I regularly checked for a firmware update in the Settings - General - About. And starting maybe two days ago it went from telling me my device was up to date, to telling me that the quota was over and I could try again later or try KIES.
Tomorrow never comes.
So I tried KIES. On the Macintosh, which is mostly where I live.
KIES installs. The SM-T320 is seen by AFT (when enabled), and KIES sees it in the sense that it knows something it cares about is connected... it tells me "Connecting...". Forever.
Removing AFT, reinstalling drivers, rebooting tablet, nothing solved this.
So, when in doubt, try Windows. Windows is that obnoxious, often slightly drunk friend with the muscle-T-shirts, too much B.O. (body odor for non-Merkins) and a swagger... that crass and unsophisticated guy that you've always kept in touch with, and who is reliable... if unsavory... in many situations.
Anyhow, so log back into Samsung/KIES, but this time on Windows, and install the latest....
Freshly installed off the website, KIES started right up. And told me there's an update available. Like, seriously?! I just downloaded you! The update has today (05-13) as part of the announcement, though the version (I later determined) is apparently 3.2.14034_17. Funny it wasn't on the site.
No problem. (Or, as your crass, unsophisticated Windows box with a bad mullet might say, "No Problemo".) Let it update itself. This didn't take long. Maybe 30 seconds.
And then, when prompted, I connected the SM-T320 to the Windows box running the new KIES and did get the firmware update notice:
A new firmware version is available. Upgrading may improve the performance of `GALAXY Tab PRO(SM-T320)'. Do you want to upgrade?
Current firmware version : PDA:NAI / CSC:NAI (XAR)
Latest firmware version : PDA:ND3 / CSC:ND3 (XAR)
This lead to a dialog that I need to install the USB driver before updating the connection... and need to disconnect the device for that.
For those of you keeping score, we have now struggled with the Mac version, surrendered, installed the Windows version from the website, installed the mandatory optional update to the newest Windows version (from G_d knows where), and now are being told our driver is out-of-date... all in 20 minutes!
The driver download-and-update install took maybe 20 seconds.
Plugging the SM-T320 back in resulted in the same update message again... new firmware yada yada yada. And the option to install this new firmware.
Selecting "Yes" resulted in a FAKE spinner over a greyed dialog. In other words, not the normal hazed-over dialog with a pea-sized spinner, but like actual dark-grey filtering over a dime-sized graphic pretending to be a spinner. Who the zark programmed this? Did this really seem like a good idea? Just give us an hour-glass and be done with it!
This grey screen lasted a long time. Well, probably a minute, by which I mean, like, sixty seconds and not the kind of minute that today's teenagers have within 45 milliseconds. And then it popped up... and consent box.
Are you still counting reinstalls and acceptances?
This box has a rationally-sized license agreement (okay, it's long, but only eight sections. Signing your soul over is optional, and they only require your second-born, not the standard first.)
But it also has two radio-button sets, for required information exchange (IMEI/MEID, SN, etc., none of which falls into the violation of privacy arena) and optional (crash data, sexual identity, I.Q., annual income, primary STDs.) You have to accept the former, and may decide on the latter.
And then, I am no not kidding, yet another box requiring acceptance!

Surely we're ready, you say. In fact, your humble correspondent can truthfully state he's beyond ready, having at this point finished off two Margaritas and a Chocolate Martini. He may, in fact, be a bit toasted. But no, the sad truth is, there's more.
This Windows box had never seen a Samsung or KIES before. It's my dev box, not my daily driver. So I don't know if normal, mere mortal, folk will be hit by this but I got another mandatory install... Admin Delegator by Mobile <something> ltd.
This doesn't show as an admin* file on the disk, nor in the Control Panel installed programs list. I couldn't find it after giving it permission to install at the UAC prompt. But it must have done something, because I was, yet again, prompted to unplug, restart and replug the SM-T320.
Still counting? I think we're up to around 15 installs, prompts and restarts. For you greybeards out there, this is Windows 95 type stuff.
At this point it started doing the install. Which probably took about 15 minutes, despite being on a blazingly fast static sync-DSL.

I'm the new owner of an unlocked T-Mo D851, and will be using it on AT&T. I bought the T-Mo version instead of the ATT version due to the unlocked bootloader and better Dev support. Love those Devs!
I figured I'd post a thread with the things I learn along the way, to help others that might benefit, particularly since I'm joining the G3 community long after the novelty has worn off. Folks like me that join have a lot of past experience to review here, and so much is out of date it can be intimidating, particularly when our new device acts a lot different from our old one. I hope this thread helps someone, but at minimum it will serve as documentation for me to refer back to, should I need that. I'll include links where appropriate.
I'm an intermediate level flasher, having worked with maybe 6-8 other phones/tablets. So, I know enough to be dangerous, but not enough to have an ego to bruise. My most recent phone was a T-Mo Galaxy S4. But I dropped it, and cracked the screen, just a few weeks after getting it all settled in with a nice 5.1.1 GPE ROM. Sigh.
I got the phone a few days ago but have just gotten around to working on it.
On day 1 I charged it up, skipped setup (touch corners, upper left, upper right, lower right above the softkeys, lower left above the softkeys... took 10 tries or so!), and connected the wifi (no sim card inserted yet). It immediately found update 20E (it shipped with kitkat). I let that update, but was surprised it didn't find the current 20G update. I want to make sure I start with the latest firmware/modems etc. installed.
In this thread, helpful user @mitbit2k3 pointed me to the online LG site that lets you download the LG Mobile Support Tool. It also gives instructions for installing the PROPER PC connection driver for the phone which works, versus the default Win7 driver that doesn't work for the purposes of the update. With proper driver installed, and with USB connection in the right mode (follow instructions to set the phone USB settings), I got up to 20G stock.
I exercised the phone a bit (still without SIM card) and made sure everything worked... cameras, GPS, wifi, etc.
Then I figured it would be time to install TWRP and take it from there. Much to my surprise, you need to root this thing FIRST. Even with an unlocked bootloader, you can't just fire up ODIN and flash TWRP.
I did my research on the forum and through Google... with all the versions of software since release there were numerous descriptions of how to root the thing, some of which were outdated. For me, on 20G software (5.01 Android), this worked fine:

OK, that rooted me just fine and installed SuperSU. I was able to use the "first way" which is super simple.
With that done, I was able to install TWRP. I went straight to the source for it:

I used the "dd" method which involves running ADB on the PC. I use a version that is a "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" that works fine... I used it to mess around with my Shield tablet previously, so I was familiar with it. Basically you run the minimal ADB through a desktop icon, and it loads a command line interface. You type ADB Shell after plugging in the phone to the USB cable (it has to be on, developer options enabled, debugging enabled). Then you type the commands listed on the TWRP site. Pretty soon TWRP is installed.
Next I had to figure out how to get into download mode. Yeah, yeah... power plus volume down... been there done that, but on the LG you have to boot with power/down, then when the LG icon comes up you release for a second, then press the two keys again, then at the next screen tell it you want to wipe the phone, and confirm this again on the next screen. THEN it finally boots into TWRP. Kinda scary. And getting the keys right takes some practice.
Once in TWRP, I backed everything up (including EFS partition) to an external SD card, just in case I messed something up. I had previously erased the SD card from within the phone's SEttings/Storage mode, to make sure it would be able to be accessed. No problem.
So now I've got a rooted phone, with TWRP installed, and the next step is to figure out what I want to do ROM wise. I wish there were a 5.1.1 GPE stock + LG Camera ROM. But I haven't found one. I like plain ROMs. The default stock ROM, even if it were debloated, its a bit annoying to me (and just 5.0.1) so I'll probably move to BlissPop or Slim something, but I will research around.
It's time to stick my SIM in and see how the phone does on AT&T. I'd like to get a baseline before I go ROM-hopping.
I will say that on stock ROM, with no SIM but WIFI on, the standby power drain on this thing is incredible. It went overnight (7 hours) and was still reading 100%. A whole 24 hours in, it was only a few percent lower. Of course, I hadn't attached any Google accounts, so the phone was truly idle, but it's very impressive nonetheless.
Stay tuned. I'll be updating this as I go along.
OK, I'm a few hours in.
No problem with my ATT SIM card in the phone; the phone was purchased unlocked and everything hooked up fine as soon as I entered in the APN information for ATT (which you can get from here).
The phone gave me a warning about WIFI Calling invalid SIM; I went into the settings and turned off WIFI calling, since I'm on ATT and only T-Mo offers it.
One other problem I haven't sorted out yet is that I get a text each time I reboot the phone, apparently my phone is sending a text to a very long address 060504071000004163.... and the text I get back is an error message that this isn't a valid number. Not sure how to turn this off. Annoying, but once per boot won't kill me until I figure it out. Google will likely be my friend. EDIT: I think this relates to T-mo visual voicemail. I went into the T-Mo Visual Voicemail app and I immediately got another one of these texts. Time to remove this app...
Meanwhile I notice the WIFI reception of this phone is much stronger than the S4. On the other hand, it seems less likely to drop a weak WIFI in favor of a stronger one... I have several access points around my house, and I've found I've needed to switch them manually now and then. Haven't had to do this on the S4.
I'm also struggling to get restores to work from my Backup Your Mobile app. I moved the backup onto an SD card in the G3, but the app isn't recognizing it. Uh oh. That's got my MMS/SMS/Call log backups. So, I've still got things to work on.
I gradually entered my various Google accounts, and let Play Store download the updates needed for all the apps. I've got about 75% of the apps I use re-downloaded.
I've got one "serious" problem in that the Play Store says the ATT Visual Voicemail app, which is a cornerstone of how I use the phone (because it transcribes voicemails into readable text), isn't compatible with my phone. That's crap. It worked fine on my T-Mo S4 (running a generic GPE edition). I'll probably have to sideload the app, but it's annoying that it's locked out.
Making progress.
I still couldn't download the ATT Visual Voicemail app from the Play Store, and went stir crazy trying to find it on my S4 (which is rooted, so I should be able to find it, but...). I went haring off in lots of directions, including making a full apps backup with Helium, but then the G3 won't restore without using the PC app due to changes in 5.0... which is weird because my S4 (which is running a 5.1.1 GPE ROM) restores fine. I don't have the PC app installed so I tried using Backup My Mobile... but then eventually figured out that on the S4, with ES File Explorer, I not only had Root Explorer OFF (didn't know I had to turn it on), but it's easy to find apps with the APP Library. Once I found the app there, I uploaded it to my Google Drive, then downloaded it from there onto the G3. It installed fine.
I used System App Remover (which requires root) to get rid of all the T-Mobile specific apps and that annoying Lookout security program. Bah! This cured that spurious text message I get with each boot. It was definitely due to the T-mo visual voice mail. Problem solved!
In using the phone, I'm a bit bummed because it didn't occur to me that a big part of my bigger screen as compared to the GS4 would be taken up by the softkeys on screen. The S4 has a physical home button and capacitive keys to either side. So, my screen isn't effectively much bigger, when I account for dedicating some of it to the buttons. You can make the buttons autohide, apparently. One issue is I use my phone in landscape much of the time, and the buttons don't rotate to the new "bottom" of the screen when I rotate. Gotta figure that out.
This morning I installed the PC Helium App so I could enable backup/restore access on the G3. That worked fine, but Helium on the G3 still doesn't detect my external SD card, in order to restore from it. I could manually copy files over to the internal Carbon folder, and restores from there worked fine. Still, I'm not sure why I'm having so much SD Card angst. I know things change each version of Android wrt SD cards... maybe something is fixed in 5.1.1 (as I had on my S4) that is broken in 5.01 on the G3.
So, I've got some tweaking to do from here. The phone is basically set up and working fine except for some straggler apps that I won't bother with until I need them, with one major exception: I need to go in and set up Light Flow. That app is a big part of how I manage notifications on any phone...

OK, I'm in a pretty good place after making some changes. Still plenty to tweak though.
First, I decided to abandon the stock Home launcher. It was a bit annoying with little UI tweaks LG made that make it just not how I expect it to look, but the kicker was that in landscape mode, the titles of the icons were not readable... they were mostly cut off. I use Rotate (Ultimate Rotation) so pretty much every screen including home is rotatable. But LG Home maintains in landscape mode the little dots representing the various home screen pages... these take up just enough room so that things get squished a bit and the titles cut off. Couldn't figure out how to disable that, so just bailed and installed Google Now Launcher which fixed me right up. That fixed the look and feel of the home screen, the apps drawer, and even reverted settings to the normal views I'm used to.
The only problem is that it kills double tap to sleep... or at least reduces the footprint of the double-tappable area to the notification strip at the top. Sigh. In another thread someone mentioned using Greenify to fix it. I'll try that when I get a chance.
Another weird thing I've got going on is that when I connect via Bluetooth to my car, it starts playing music. See this thread. That's pretty annoying... for now I deleted the default music that was playing, and with an empty directory nothing plays.
I put on a screen protector last night. I got the 0.2mm iCarez one. I performed the application in a steamy bathroom after running the hot shower for a bit, per some tips over in the Accessories thread. I left the backing on, positioned the glass on the screen, taped one side for the "hinge method" after getting it perfectly aligned and accounting for the eventual loss of thickness of the plastic underbacking, cleaned everything one last time with the alcohol wipe, peeled the backing, and plopped it on starting in the center. Got it perfectly positioned and no major bubbles. There were a couple of "spec sized" non-uniformities but they were gone by morning.
I'm gradually setting in... Still lots to play with.
I've noticed the WIFI, while it gets good reception, is a bit sluggish to drop a weak connection in favor of a strong one. Anybody got a tweak for that?

Try this app for WIFI management. I have tried several and this is the best I have found. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.WifiManager I agree completely that the wifi in the phone is very slow to drop a weak signal and grab a stronger one. But with wifi manager you can play with the sensitivity. Good luck.

I've a Win Jr LTE phone & the update ran while I was out, despite telling it not to run updates without my express permission - it has now screwed up touchscreen so the phone is entirely unusable. Does anyone have any suggestions?
NB: telling me to "do a hard reset & lose everything" is NOT a suggestion I want to hear, since its not a viable option in this case, since backup on the phone hasn't worked since I got it on multiple cards & via onedrive.
I can't use browser or keyboard, anything with controls at bottom of screen is useless, there (of course) is no obvious way of re calibrating touch screen so the phone is effectively useless.
Apologies if in wrong place but the site doesn't seem to do anything other than lag, or make choices for me I didn't select.
I would strongly recommend NOT installing this (version ends. 67) as it appears as buggy as usual Microsoft efforts and has been bricking some phones completely I have since found out.

the issue is known (by now, think it wasnt the prior cause otherwise the device should not have received the update). the problem is somehow the os uses a wrong resolution 540X960 instead of 480X854 which ****s up the touch
two options: opt in into release-preview-ring of the insiderprogram and get the .82. maybe it already fixed the problem. second option: going back...
use external display application on your pc or pair a bluetooth mouse/keyboard if its impossible to reach the insider options (be ware: if you havent signed up as insider before it may take up to 24hrs till you will find new builds)
Yeah, I had guessed it must be something like that, because the touchscreen reacts differently from one side to other and from top to bottom.
It's frustrating though because I can remember screw ups like this from Microsoft 20 years ago and they're still making same elementary mistakes, and it's not as if specs for these phones are hard to find or there's unknown multitudes of windows 10 phones out there, like with Android..
Windows 10 honestly has the potential to be excellent but if someone with 20 years IT engineering experience can't fix it for herself because the tools just aren't there then what hope non technical people? And they are just the people who will give Windows 10 traction.
Has anyone managed to find any files that set environment variables like in android?
PS if someone builds an equivalent of the Nokia E7 running Android or Windows 10 let me know, I'll happily bite their hands off, much prefer a good hardware kbd.
im pretty sure there is no way on the blu devices to interop it and made registry editing possible (should be an easy task to modify the setting for the screen resolution). you could sideloading vcreg after activating dev mode, but im pretty sure it wont be able to write reg values and cant research atm where the value for the resolution is stored
vcreg works only on Lumia
I've tried the feedback and the insider updates and I can't get to either of them because of the screen. Is it possible someone could put this up on feedback for me as I'm sure I'm not the only person with this issue.. Microsoft would only have to release a very small patch fix to solve this issue..

A few days ago Xfinity Mobile (or Samsung? I'm unsure) started pushing OTA update G965USQU7DTA5 (One UI 2 upgrade with Android 10).
I successfully updated mine SGS-9 but got stuck on wife's SGS-9 Probably, first attempt of download on this phone was interrupted (my wife went to store, and download was paused 'cause of no WiFi). But after that it's always stopped on 25% and saying "Couldn't download update: Unable to update the software. A network or server error occurred. Try later again". It's a bug in buggy Samsung software updater, I'm 100% positive, but how to fix that stuff without resetting the phone?
Phone is NOT rooted or unlocked; I googled for "offline update" instructions for stock, locked phones but can't find good, clear instructions.
Any suggestions, guys?
P.S. I've never done phone reset on SGS-9, how it works? Is it quick and safe enough? My wife's phone don't have sideloaded and/or pirated apps, everything by original, Google- & Samsung way.
Update: I resolved my issue by updating phone from PC, using Samsung's "Smart Switch" application - everything went smooth and easy.

So, after update to Android 10 on SGS9, my wife found what the new camera app is kinda downgrade: she doesn't likes new video mode full screen chooser (instead of "scroller") and some other small things. By the way, I clearly understood her: for example, on her SGS9 (updated via PC) video has, by default, bigger zoom than mine SGS9! It's kinda ridiculous but I understand, some parts of the software was written by Korean guys
My question is: could you provide some tips how to install stock camera app from the previous firmware (Android 9), without flashing back old firmware (I suspect what Sam-damn-sung and X****&nity will not support Android 9 anymore)?

I think it's more no one has xfinity. I was one of the few and first to have xfinity when I got my s8. xfinity is a weird setup compared to most phones. I had to ditch em when they charged me like 3 or 4 times in one month, it took me almost 4 months to get a refund.
With root you might be able to get the old camera working possibly. Or gcam I'm no developer so I wouldnt know the exacts. And I still run my xfinity s8 ???
If you still use oppo f1s in 2021 or 2022+ go throw it away RIGHT NOW . your phone is fully spying on you and somebody inside or outside of oppo is fully viewing your actions andde things u perform on your device here is why
First after using the phone for 4 years i found out that it has a spyware built into the system that allow a person to fully see every action you perform on the android os

One day i booted into my computer with a usb stick that had manjaro linux . So i booted into live persistence mode then i connected my computer to my wifi then when i turned my oppo f1s phone
and after the phone connected to the same wifi as my computer
Somebody hacked the linux os and started writing words on my screen then targeted a company from the USA by writing its name on a wifi login interface
So the person who control the spyware tried to say that the name of the company he wrote is responsible on the hack while it is actually not
The good thing is that i took a picture ofof the words this person wrote on my screen as you can see on the attachements
so after i wiped the data of my phone . Somebody played the google ring sound on the phone when the phone had no google accounts connected on it .
On that time i realised that the phone had a built in spyware used by oppo in order to monitor user activites and it has full access to the system and camera and microphone and your process list does not display it and u can not toggle its permissions or even detect it or remove it .
Just get another phone because the oppo f1s is not safe at all as i saw somebody gained access to my computer through the phone itself
While the phone had no running services at the start except of google services and messenger and facebook . And for messenger and facebook they were installed from the playstore
And the phone had no malware detections at all .
it has something unormal built into it
So if you still own a oppo f1s you better throw it away and switch away to another phone

The fact is that the only running processes on the phone were system processes , messenger , facebook , and google services .
So after i wiped the data and after all installed apps were removed i did not enter my google account on the phone so the ring audio appeared and happened when the phone had no google accounts connected and no installed applications at all . Means that somebody played the google ring sound on the oppo phone after i wiped the data
So how somebody can ring your phone when your phone has nothing on it . And has no google accounts connected to it . So the spyware take part of the system
and for changing the rom or getting Twrp on it is a very hard mission . even when i tried flashing it with a pc and following most tutorials it, failed .
So oppo actually did something unormal with this phone . Also its a phone that was released on august 2016 so imagine what may happened with phone made on 2022 and 2021

How did your Manjaro Linux get hacked while your phone was connected to the same wifi? I find it very strange to see Linux operating system can be easily hacked. From your screenshot, it even showed the X Windows hacked similar to remote desktop.

Yeah I was surprised too. I was running it on live persistence mode directly from the usb . So it was not installed on the hard drive also it had the default kernel and the default installation environment
So I did not install it and
I ran a command to install an application then the person who gained access to the linux os Canceled the installation and wrote ";6OR" then pasted "The Global broadband Speed test " on a wifi login interface .
He actually tried to target ookla speedtest company while ookla is fully out of the situation .
Even the ookla speedtest app that I had was installed from the playstore and was not running on the background and had no permissions at all
Just the person saw me running ookla on my oppo device did something smart and wrote it on my computer's screen after 4 years of spying as a way to hide or to cover what he did
Thats kinda weird
So malware also allow the attacker to gain remote access to other connected devices while having full access on the device . And the applications manager does not display it or even allow the user to modify its permission .
So the user will notice nothing at all

Android is a modified Linux platform. I feel safer running Windows on the PC to backup an Android. As a further safeguard the PC can't be connected to wifi or the internet.
A Android to PC infection could get very ugly if it was able breach the backup data drives. It's one of the reasons I have many backup data hdds that are time staggered up to years apart and physically isolated from each other and the PC.
XDA gets delusional people here weekly that think they been hacked. Sadly it's their own brain that's been hacked by biology or skewed thinking.
That doesn't mean that real infections and hacking don't happen. Documenting them is tedious and the last thing I care about doing when faced with an active infection or tainted file. My only concern is damage control and repairing the damage already done.
I really don't care if someone doesn't believe me when I tell them about a malware jpeg that damaged files in my download folder. I found that jpeg, successfully deleted it and repaired the damage... that's all that matters to me. That's the worst I've seen in 2 years running on Pie. Took about an hour to clean up, whatever.
I downloaded that jpeg, my bad. Fortunately I discovered it in the download folder by opening it there and seeing the changes made in that folder immediately afterwards. That's the second tainted jpeg I've encountered in over a decade.
If it had been a preloaded infected apk (or one I inadvertently installed) with full Administrator privileges the outcome would have been much worse.
This OP may actually have software issue not a soft tissue issue... just saying

Isn't all the firmware packages are downloadable? Where is the malware file located in the firmware exactly? Where is the related payload file?
Isn't it necessary to provide the malware file from the firmware to point out the malware was made by the vendor? How can you be so sure you're not hacked by somewhere else?
This story looks really like this: I think he or she is having an affair with one's wife or husband. Where's the proof? Sorry, I don't have proof, I simply think it happened.

if I can find a way to get TWRP flashed on the phone I ll be able to take a backup ZIP file and send it here
so anyone here will be able to even try the infected OS on a test phone
by flashing the backup zip file on the "restore" feature of TWRP
And this is not the complet story ,
because when I got that phone for the first time on 2017 and when I was a kid , I was recording the sea on a boat then a girl came up and told me to take a look on her phone , then she showed me that the same video I was recording is present on a adult website and because of my age that time I did not understand what she wanted to say and that the video was getting streamed from my oppo f1s phone's camera and until this day I did not find myself even on the that website , and from 2017 until 2021 I keept using the phone which was the biggest mistake ever of my life until I realized that it was it was not only infecting my devices , it was also streaming me without my permission to an adult website while nothing on the phone is having camera permission
And the process used or I can confirm as the tool used by oppo is the "Android OS" itself because it has already full permissions and access on the phone that the user can not even toggle
Also I did never use the phone on a wifi having somebody connected with a Pc with such tools so I can confirm that it nobody has the ability to try hacking it ,
and for that story upside still more.... more..... like one time I went into a livestream video on youtube then the person that I started watching said
"Omg he is watching this video" and "Dude your ISP is spying on you and your whole country wont tell you and yeah they are streaming on P###hub and everyone think that they are making fun of you while they are actually not they are actually spying on you"
then the guy next to this streamer told him "Dude its not ISP basically nobody know why"
And there is another youtuber who showed the same reaction on one of his livestream videos
but the problem is that when I keept searching for the stream , they were deleted , I spent like months searching dor myself on the internet and I found nothing

This is nonsense. You don't need TWRP to get the infected file. If it is made by vendor just like you said, simply download the official firmware from oppo and point out which file it is. Then analysis the file with rever engineering, this is how you can proof it is made by oppo
Anything grabbed from your phone can't proof anything. Anyone can insert malware into your phone. Even a local reseller can do that. The bootloader is not locked, even an APK that uses exploit to get root access can replace the system file of your phone. Your system might have been modified by some malicious APKs.
For example, if you use KingRoot, they insert su.kud file into your /system partition. Any malware that has the ability to root the phone can do that. Since the firmware is outdated without getting any security patch, any malware with ability to root the phone can insert dirty things into your phone. I think this may be the case on your phone.

I suggest we put on our red dresses and dance in circle singing the "Consummatum est. Diabolo fuge. Diabolo fuge!" incantation.
I know its kinda weird but... the last time I used it on I picked it up after booting it and I tried to talk next to it as if there is something that start running on the phone directly after turning it ON and that start streaming..
After I booted it I started explaining the situation and saying "bla bla bla the phone is hacked and the person who may be streaming the audio etc is a criminal bla bla this phone has nothing installed on it etc nothing is running on the background except of google services and some system apps bla bla if you can get him arrested etc.."
And after I finished speaking I went into the factory reset and I wiped all the data of the phone
and when it booted up again I wiped the data again ...
And after this when the phone booted up I did not enter my google account into the phone , so the phone had completly no google accounts connected to it
and here is the craziest thing that blew my mind
right after booting it , somebody played the "Google ring sound" on the phone while having no google accounts connected to it
That google ring sound is the one that anyone can play after getting into a google account and clicking on the "RING THE PHONE" option on
like there is no way for somebody to do such thing while no google accounts are connected to phone
so I was extremely shocked like how this can happend , I did not enter any google account to the phone...
I tried even to check my google account using another device and it was not connected to any device ,
So somehow that malware allow its owner to play such audio on the victim device...
like this is something that I found no explanation for
And As I remember this is the last thing that happened before I gave up using that oppo phone ,
I know im not writing this to get a wizard up to fix the phone or something , just trying to say that oppo phones in general are not that much private or safe at all after I experienced all this
also im not a professional or somebody familiar with malware reverse engineering , im just seeing the malware impact by its behaviour as any normal user ,
also I dont have that magical test environment to crop each part of the firmware and look into it , im still even scared from getting it connected to any wifi , like if it is going to explode
But the fact that 5 years from my life were getting streamed to an adult website by that malware .. hurt so much... , not only this but watching a livestream using the infected phone and hearing the streamers screaming loudly and showing that reaction
then finding out that many faces from people in real life start changing and hearing unexpected reactions as if they know something and they wont tell you about is something that is hard to understand
like yeah as u said , why would someone spend his life or do that or even use a malware in order to ruin somebody's life by streaming him into an adult website and doing all the possible to dont let him know about it ,
And ending up getting bullied in real life by unknown persons in a daily way for something u dont know and just hearing a few words from them that explain a small part of the whole story

Factory reset is not enough to remove malware inserted into your firmware via root. Factory reset doesn't reset to factory state in your case because factory reset doesn't really rewrite /system partition, it just deletes /data partition. So any modification in /system partition still remains. If you run SafetyNet check on your device you will find out it fails to pass SafetyNet. How to find out? You can use YASNAC to check it. If your phone fails to pass Safetynet, that means your device doesn't have the same software as the stock one. And that means you need to use another method to reset your device.
You need to reinstall stock firmware with recovery or use DownloadTool to reset your device.
Seeing how you fix your phone, I think you really lack basic knowledge of Android or even cyber security. I suggest you remove this ridiculous thread because your accusation is actually based on nothing, but only with personal experience which was actually caused by misconception due to the lack of basic Android knowledge.

I know that a factory reset or even doing it billion of times can not solve the problem
I was just explaining that the whole thing going on here is not caused by user interaction , it means that I did not M I s t a k e l y end up here by doing a mistake like getting something to run on the os and giving it wide access on the device
And this is not the way I fix any phone , im not like the smart guy who says "hey go format your device and everything will be fine"
I know it will change nothing on this case

it passes safetynet, and all these problems keep going on , the problen is not caused by an app that had root access on the device
its caused by the stock firmware itself
