i just unlocked and rooted and all the good stuff ... lol long story short im trying to figure out how to install viper audio ?
i didnt know if this guide will work or not

just install magisk module from magisk manager
worked just fine here on OxygenOS

There are a few different Viper magisk modules...I personally only use sound mods from Ahrion and havent been disappointed. He updates them regularly as well.

All of his mods are here....AM3D Zirene doesnt work on Nougat though. Ainur Sauron sound mod, while a magisk module, cannot be added through magisk and must be flashed in TWRP. Dolby and Viper are all you need and can be downloaded through those links or through Magisk.

Hello at all,
have somebody a working way to install viper4android on the Pixel 2xl?
i am on magisk v15.2 and viper4android v5.0 vor magisk15+, viper4android cant install the drivers.. (i/o problem.)
Things i tried: busybox (magisk method), selinux on permissiv, viper4android compatible method and selinux disable method..
anytime i get the code: "Driver install failed: I/O error, please reboot and try again.
any idea?

Uninstall all V4A magisk modules. Then go to this link......https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-viper4android-fx-2-5-0-5-t3577058
Download the 2.8 version. Go into twrp and flash the zip. Should work fine after that :good:

Did you flash it in magisk or twrp?? It usually works just fine in twrp, however, try installing it in magisk if twrp fails.

Well it worked when I flashes it in TWRP but when I power on my phone it keeps saying viper has stopped working and causes my phone to power off

Did you download the Dolby Oreo zip to your pc first, then transfer it to your phone? That was the issue when it first came out. As for me, I just flash the old V4A in twrp, select the new version and the original apk, then flash the Dolby zip right after. Then I go to MM and update the V4A modules. Seems to work for me every time

Then maybe try downloading it again to your pc from AFH and see if it works. Worth a shot anyways. :good:

If didn't work and goes to bootloop
flash zip file attached below
Go to advanced
File manager
Locate magisk/Dolby Atmos
And delete
Reboot
Bootloop will gone and you will be able to boot again
Let me know if Dolby Atmos works for you

Thanks for your help but I prefer not to risk more. I had a serious problem a few days ago with a very serious bootlop and I do not want to suffer again. I'd rather wait for a Dolby Atmos sure 100% without scares

Ok I will try when I will be back on stock ROM and will let you know the working Dolby atmos..
But On oB8 it was working great..I hv used Dolby on op5t for more than 15 days and was awesome :laugh:

This is the version of Dolby which was worked for me on OOS OB8 and new on liquid remix
U can't get anything without try bro..
Gv it a try and if didn't work I HV already mention the escape route before
And be sure u are on latest magisk 16.0 or 16.4 beta

Is there a working version for oreo ? all the dolby mods listed on magisk repo are mentioned as compatible uptil nougat
In Android 9, this module for magisk called TopNotch-NotchBarKiller is supposed to make the phone use the extra notch space no matter what. I am on Android 8 still so I can't test it. Can someone please confirm that this works?
TopNotch causes bootloop. Tested and doesn't work lol.

Not sure what the module does because it caused bootloop on oreo but, let me rephrase that, you're probably not going to need any modules on Pie for fullscreen apps/videos etc.

Yeah im using DD+Viper right now but the atmos one sounds better on my opinion, guess theres no atmos on pie just yeg :/
