Is the Sprint variant factory sim unlocked? Can I put AT&T sim and it would work?

So I used the instructions from this thread to unlock an ATT S3 for international use. I don't have the international SIM yet and currently have Sprint so I don't have a SIM card. I used my old T-Mobile sim and get the "SIM not provisioned MM #2" message. Would this mean that it is unlocked?

I need some help, if I can't unlock the booloader of an Android (Moto G Verizon CDMA), is still possible to flash it with another carrier? (i.e PagePlus, Iusacell Mexico)
I want to buy a Moto G from Verizon, but the bootloader is locked by Motorola, and can't be unlocked, so I was wondering if I can activate with other carrier with DFS Tools or by the mobile carrier itself.

Are there by chance any roms that would allow for a psuedo sim unlock for gsm sim cards on the Sprint variant of the M8? I have FusionRom V6 for the LS990 Sprint variant and there is absolutely no work involved in popping an ATT/Tmobile/international sim and getting it to get HSPA+/LTE.
Changing roms will not sim unlock a phone unfortunately
I'm wondering how are the carrier firmwares provisioned in the Canadian model (LG-G710AWM). I purchased mine through Fido.
Do all carriers get their own firmware, or is it provisioned by the SIM card. Like for example, if I install a Telus SIM card into my Fido G7, it will prompt a reset to install Telus customizations?
