so I installed twrp on the 1x 5059y, following this guide https://unofficialtwrp.com/unofficial-twrp-3-3-1-for-alcatel-5059d-5059a-5059j-5059i-5059x-5059y/
but I wiped the system and now I don't have anything to flash... do you know of any roms for the phone? Also, if I select an .img to flash, I only have recovery and bootloader options. no system option to flash...
I made a backup, but after restoring, it still doesn't boot (gets stuck on the message that the bootloader is unlocked and that the phone will reboot in 5 sec, but it never does...)
Sp flash tools give me error code c0060005, but I've only found stock firmware for 5059D on the internet...

Hi! Can you provide me a patched kernel for 5059D? When I install a GSI rom the offline charge doesnt work. I tried every rom (serius) and every version have the same problem. Help me pls. Thanks

Hello all.
I'm looking for direction on how to root my TLC Model A503DL phone.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it is also known as Alcatel model A1X.
This was a free lifeline phone of which is painfully slow & with minimal memory of both types.
Reason for root is to speed up, expand storage and possibilities of using device for much more such as a remote camera or tethering and etcetera for example.
Thank you sooo much in advance for your time.
May good karma come your way. K+++

that's probably because the app was designed to work with dalvik not art, so i'd guess downloading a newer version for art would work, but then again i'm not so sure.

You will need to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery to go to CM from stock OOS.
The guide can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/oneplus-3-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t3398733
One question, are you looking to remove encryption? If so, why?

Anyway you cannot flash OTA over the rooted firmware.
Either you have to dirty flash 3.2.1 and flash the OTA on top of it or flash 3.2.2 full zip.

I want to root my new OP3, but I want to understand the requirements/consequences.
From what I read, it seems that I must unlock the bootloader (which factory resets my phone), install a custom recovery and flash supersu zip in recovery.
1. is there a way to root without factory resetting?
2. if I follow the root procedure that I describe above, will I be able to lock the bootloader again to keep my phone safe whilst keeping root?
3. do I loose root if I install an OTA update?
4. what are my best options? can I have root, system updates and a locked bootloader?
Note: I don't want to flash a custom ROM.
Note2: why I want to lock the bootloader: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...implication-of-having-an-unlocked-boot-loader
How to enable multi window? It is not in developer settings.Stock rom.

Need help from Dev to re-write a Wifi Fix for Xiaomi MI9 please

Hi,
I desperately need help from Dev to re-write a Wifi Fix for the Xiaomi MI9 please.
The enclosed WIFI Fix was written for the A1 and I hope to find a nice Dev who can make this work on MI9.
I am constantly getting the error: "This WLAN has no internet"
I am an IT-guy and I have checked every possible way to get his error fixed, but I am not an Android Dev
Thanks

1. Here is Mi 9se not Mi 9 section
2. Rom, kernels... not q&a or apps&mods.
3. Linked zip is for MiFlash with persist partition(sensors fix).
4. No internet - rather you have problem with router not with smartphone.
You can flash full rom with MiFlash without wiping data if you have problems. Unlocked bootloader needed.

Qoute from the thread you sent: " install/flash img at persist partition"
TWRP does not show the Persist partition - I have tried to mount it and it mounts in TWRP but still doesn't show when I try to flash persist.img
Then I tried from another thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...expect-proximity-sensor-t3777015#post79961804 to copy new files into the "Sensors" folder.
You need to be rooted and have a root explorer
Backup your /persist folder
Download the attached zip file
Extract the zip
Paste all the 5 files from the zip to your phone in /persist/sensors/
Reboot
Let's see if this fixed Internet. The Proximity sensor is still not working, but that may be the hardware. My proximity sensor worked only 1 out of 30 times testing it, mostly after reboot or screen wake-up.
I will report back to you.
Thanks
EDIT: After replacing the files in the sensors folder, doing a complete wipe and re-flashing RevengeOS, the proximity sensor is working now.

I finally took this MI9 JUNK back and got me a OnePlus 7.
What REALLY got on my nerves is the fact that I can't ven use this bloody phone if I don't log-in to Xiaomi.
****ing bloody spies! That's one reason why I am not using an iPhone.
And all those bugs they ship with their original ROM - PLAIN REDICULOUS!!!
No support and the "Senior Moderator" only tells people: "I will report this to the developers...."
After two years, the issues still persist.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, ever will I buy a Xiaomi again, BASTA!

Yeah, I wouldn't try something like twrp without sources being public.
This doesn't seem like a proper built, more like a broken port of some sort.
Hmm someone tried this? Is it really working for the device and what can we do ? From the first post it's weird normally it wouldn't be shared like this without s source code ain't it ?

[Update] After careful consideration, this thread will remain closed as source to this TWRP release could not be provided (for free). Recoveries are released under GPLv3, which mandates releasing the (adjusted) source. Closed source releases of kernels and/or recoveries are detrimental to the development landscape. We can only move forward as a community if development remains open and free.
I kindly invite you all to report any posts or threads that include a link to source-less TWRP releases. You'll be doing the development community a huge favor. Thank you all for your cooperation!

Thers is no deep testing app released for realme c21
Instead you can use mtkclient.
Steps are explained there as noob friendly, but you can still ask here when you stuck.

There is also a rooting method.
Can I do it without unlocking the bootloader?
if that was a stupid question please forgive me
@Zartazor
One of the steps is erasing the data.
The rooting method is same as general method, but you are going to flash boot image through mtkclient instead of fastboot.
I did process via unlocking bootloader, so i not sure about rooting without unlocked bootloader.

Did you flash the empty vb-meta and erase metadata, userdata, md_udc ?
Actually i am currently using RU1 and will update to RUI2 soon.
But since smiley.raver done rooting RUI2, i think there is no additional step .
I will try that again
Thanks, u so much bro, I have successfully unlocked the bootloader
and rooted using magisk
thanks for every help u gave me

Glad to hear you succeed, enjoy your rooted phone
Further to this, any bootloader unlock will wipe devices. As a new person to rooting and bootloader unlocking, search the forums, but you will always find any process if bootloader, flashing rom, even twrp flash. It is always common sense as well as just good practice to back up your data, because these processes do not always work 100% the same for everyone on everyone with the same deviice.
This is because new people flashing phones don't realise that a small shuttle difference could have different firmware parameters even though both realme c21.

This is a prime example of if you looked in the forum for c21 same place this was posted. There is already a post by myself stating bootloader unlocked and root available.
How to root C21 with locked bootloader
https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient please note that I will make a proper procedure in this post shortly. but in the mean time, you WILL need linux to be able to root your phone, as windows process does not work., while using linux, need to...

Trust me
These and similar articles you find are unfounded articles memorizedly written to generate network traffic to their own pages.
We've been here for a few months, when something new is done, of course the appropriate thread will be opened here and everyone will be able to access it when a new content out.
Also the twrp link you gave does not mention for which system is, (Like RUI1 or RUI2).

Instead of asking. How about you try flashing it yourself? And then reporting if it is actually working or not.
We have a work in progress recovery. Please read the forums you are posting in an stop doubling up questions on multiple threads, as this is against XDA rules.
I am currently in progress of compiling the device tree that has been completed.

Brother, I'm not that old. My dad brought me a phone and this Phone is all I have. If I flash it and something goes wrong I will be screwed.
I'm a new member of XDA family and I don't know how they work exactly.
Please forgive me if I made any mistake.
Sorry...
It's all part of learning. Luckily androids are near impossible to kill.
But as a new member read the XDA rules as well as read the other posts before asking.
