[Q] Are the speakers on my Nexus 7 2013 defective?

I just bought a Nexus 7 2013 but the touch sounds are too low for my liking. Can anyone with a Nexus 7 tell me whether the touch sounds on nexus 7 on touching the screen are very loud or not?On my unit they are so low that I can hear them but just barely.I already tried Audio Manager and turning volume and other alerts to max but the touch sound is s till low.Is it supposed to be low or is my device defective? Thanks
Anyone? Please just tell me whether the touch sounds which you get on touching the screen are supposed to be loud or not because on my unit I can barely hear them
I guess it depends what your definition of "low" is. I found the touch sounds annoying enough to immediately seek out how to disable them, so they certainly weren't that low.

It is possible that it may be hardware, but I have the same problem with my DEB version. The keypress sounds are loud, but any sort of media playback (video or audio) is too low for my liking. I have cranked the volume up as high as I can, and in an environment where there is any ambient noise I have to almost hold the device to my ear to be able to hear clearly. Plug in headphones, though, and the problem goes away almost completely (only prevalent in a handful of videos where I know the audio in that video is low on every device).
Not much help other than to say "yeah, I see that, too."

[ZE551ML] Sound quality is disappointing

Hello, i have just upgraded from an LG G3 to a zenfone 2 and I am not pleased with the sound quality.
I didnt like my g3's sound at first but with an app called g3 volume booster (playstore) and v4x I managed to make it sound better than an iPhone.
I tried v4x on my zf2 but after hours trying to make it sound good I gave up.
I find it low and really blank at low ends and mids, not crisp or full bodied enough.
V4X playback boost only works on tracks that are not 0dB, leveling them up.
Has anynody got any tips to make the sound of this phone better with software? Is the dac in this phone beyond repair?
I want to increase volume too, the way the app on lg g3 worked was by editing some values in some system file, is it possible manually in the zenfone 2?
I appreciate if anybody can help me, music is a big deal for me, and despite this, this phone is amazing.
Thanks

Pixel 2 XL speaker volume issues?

This release is turning into a joke.
My friend just got his pixel 2 xl and the speakers on his unit are completely useless. They run at normal volume for a few seconds and then the sound just lowers to less than half on its own. Then it keeps fluctuating between high and low sound (volume in android always stays the same), even if you press and hold volume up at max volume.
This is in addition to the earpiece noise issues he has. Mine arrives in 3 days and I'm worried this will just turn into a poor QC roulette (happened with the first Pixel for me)
My speakers sound fantastic and the volume holds. Sounds like your friend has a defective unit and needs to pray to RNGesus to get a good one via RMA.
Mine are great for me! Your friends sounds suspicious...
My Pixel 2 XL (after about 3 factory resets) has still this problem. The speakers jump from medium level loudness to high for a second back to medium. And other issues. Like no sound on calling except when on speaker. Still very wierd bugs...

Ringtone / Speaker Volume really low ?

Hi all
Earlier i was going to buy a 2nd hand Pixel XL 128GB version.
I noticed that the ringtone volume and speaker sound is really low, my question is, can this be fixed via Rooting the phone ? & will it affect the speakers in any way ?
Thank you very much :cyclops::fingers-crossed:
Normal sound level is actually pretty good, but I must agree when one uses a custom ringtone like a mp3, for some reason it rings too low as much as you will have problems hearing it when it is in your pocket or bag or purse whatever.
As for the increasing sound level, some mods like viper can increase sound output to a desired level but it can also slowly degrade your speakers too, which I think not a big issue(I used it in my Nexus 6 for 2 years and as for 3rd year it still rocks.)
And ofc you will be needing root.

Question Low volume distortion

Good evening everyone, I noticed that my Pixel Watch, during calls with a low volume the audio is really low, while if I turn up the volume, the audio distorts a lot. Anyone have the same problem? is it a problem with the Pixel Watch?
It appears to be a defect in the design.
I read about a lot of people getting the watch replaced by Google.
