How to disable this swr50 function - Sony Smartwatch 3

Hello,
I am using showwear to lock the screen... Works well but unfortunately if I cover the watch by mistake, even if the screen is locked, the watch will fall back to the watch face.
Is there any way to disable this feature? It kind of defeats the.purpose of locking the screen !

Seem not really "lock" the screen but lock some action on screen. Even when locked the right (or left) swipe on my screen open my "Launcher for Wear"

Well the I'm looking for something to lock it Enough that water splashing doenst disturb the app I have running... I kitesurf and it's impossible to bring the app once it gets swiped away.. and it will end up getting swiped every 5 min or so...

Otherwise "Theater mode" lock the screen and tactile (shortcut button double click)

Well the who idea of having not the app get swiped away is because I need to see what's on the screen . Theater mode turns the screen off and I cant see the app anymore
Is there maybe a way to define this app as my new watch face ?!

Lock screen shortcut

Hey guys...
Just wanted to post this little find. I haven't seen it posted before, so I apologise if I missed that thread...
Try this...
Open an application with the settings button in the bottom corner.
Switch off screen
Switch on screen
Do you have the settings button in the same corner? Press it... screen unlocks
Shortcut or flaw?

Oh wow, never noticed that before. I can't think of any benefit of it so it likely to be a bug.

The online kitchen over at MoDaCo has an option to disable 'menu key unlock'. I'm assuming this is referring to this issue (if it is an issue) but I may be wrong.

don't get this option. is it something to turn on in Settings?
Did you also notice that you can access the notification bar from the lock screen?
Can't be a feature, surely?

That is actually a feature. Quite useful if you don't have a pattern/pin/face lock setup.

it is most definitely a feature, and was demoed at the first unveiling of the phone back in October.
Ahhhh... so it doesn't work if there is security lock on... I get it.. ty

Actually neither does the originally noted shortcut work when the pin is on

Can someone explain what the purpose of the settings button is in this context? Is it just another way to unlock the screen? Why does it only appear in the given scenario?
Also, why do the back and home buttons appear when you drag down the notifications bar?
They do not appear to be functional, but can be pressed. I suppose the back button makes sense, as it dismisses the notification panel, but the home button does not appear to be functional.
I opened facebook, the menu button was there. I turned off screen, then turned it back on. the menu button was there on my lock screen but when I pushed it, nothing happened. phone did not unlock. I use pattern unlock.

More than likely, the menu button being on the lock screen is just a glitch that really shouldn't be there. The good news is that if you have a lock other than the slide lock (Pattern, Password, Pin, Face) the the menu button on screen does nothing.
It's already been reported to google as a bug. It only happens if you have an insecure lock method (swipe, or none).

How does knock on feature works with apps which require double taps?

Ive just tried it on song pop and it doesnt turn the screen off....I believe it needs to be on a blank part of the homescreen or on the notification bar area at the top of the screen
Do you have clash of clans game? Can you try to double click inside it?

Knock off only works on the home screen (and the status bar). It would be quite silly otherwise since you wouldn't be able to double tap to zoom etc.

I can also see it turning the screen off when using your keyboard lol. It definitely sounds like a nice feature - especially considering the buttons are on the back. It would be annoying to have to pick your phone up off of a table or desk to turn the screen on sometimes.

Side Lock Button

So I found out real quick last night while playing with my 6 month old baby that this watch needs some sort of lock. When she was squirming around in my arms the Google Voice commands opened a dozen times and she tried to share some of my notifications and reply with Voice for a couple of text messages. And this was all within the first 15 minutes.
I was wondering if there was anyone else experiencing this and their thoughts. I saw a couple of lock screen apps out there but I was thinking with the Moto 360 it would be really nice if that side button was a lock / unlock button for when you want the watch to remain in the ambient mode and not wake up from screen taps. I know that the button switches the watch to ambient mode but it does not seem to lock the screen from touches. Might be a nice idea for future implementation as I have not used the side button for anything yet as the screen wakes when I lift the watch to my face.
What are your thoughts?
this exact thing happened to me yesterday! I have an 8 month old and the watch just attracted him lol
I don't have a creature, but I too would like for the watch to only activate when I want it to. I want to have to press the button to turn the screen on.
Have you guys tried Showear or Lockable? Both are free but Lockable charges for the pin unlock feature.
I don't want just a screen lock, but a lock that completely keeps the screen turned off until I press the hard button on the side. (To not waste battery when I definitely don't want the screen to turn on by touch and/or accelerometer). Does an app exist for this?

Have you tried to shower with it on?
It thinks the water is you touching it, and it goes crazy!

That is exactly what I am looking for. Something that keeps it in the Ambient mode until I press the side button and locking the touch screen. It seems like an easy enough option because the button really has no other use as you can turn the screen on and off by tilting your hand. So it would probably serve better as a locking button.

I do not shower with a watch on so I have not tried it. I am sure it would go crazy. Another reason for a lock button.
Yea a lock app or something would be nice mine is so sensitive I could sneeze and it turns it on..hope something comes about soon

I have come across an app called Baby Time which locks the watch and only allows a specific swipe gesture of up twice and then down twice. Kinda gets the task done but it would be a lot simpler if it was activated by the button on the Moto 360. Another comment is that it replaces the watch face you have with one created in the app which for some reason does not seem to have an option out of the 24 hour clock. I will use for now but I am hopeful that something better will come along. Also have to start the app by saying "Start Baby TIme"
Lol!

Send to phone question

I've noticed that when an app in android wear gives me the option to view on phone, it wakes my phones screen but I still have to slide to unlock and then I will find the app I want waiting for me. It seems like this situation doesn't exactly call for a lock screen, since I will obviously have the phone nearby if I am planning to use it for the app i was just using in wear. So my question is, does anyone know a way to bypass the lockscreen in this specific situation? I feel like the lock screen takes away from the magic a little bit. If I could launch an app from my watch and immediately see it on my screen without touching my phone at all, that would feel a little more "the future is now"ish, I believe(x

Turn off your lockscreen or use an app like Pebble locker to turn off lockscreen while the watch is connected.

phone locking

I have my pixel set to fingerprint lock with pin backup.
I also have it set to look when I press the power button or lock immediately as the phone screen turns off by itself. It does not do this. If I press the power button or let go.to sleep and turn screen back on it shows a little unlocked lock at bottom middle. What's the deal?
Do you have the "Smart Unlock" feature enabled?
Yes I do. I'm at a loss. I can't seem to get the phone to lock right or get the stock google widget on the upper right hand corner of homescreen to change. And I'm not new to android.
Do you have face recognition on? Does your watch keep it unlocked?

How did you know I have a watch? Are you psychic? Can my gear 2 keep it unlocked?

Yes it can if you have smart lock enabled for that watch. That means when you are nearby that device you don't have to enter a code or use a fingerprint.
Thank you that took care of the locking problem I had. Now I just need to figure out how to get the stock date/day widget in the top right-hand corner of homescreen to change to weather
Edit:. Figured out the weather thing with the right hand corner widget. Had to reset my preference I've had google now for so long it just needed to reset my cards.
