Can't use my XDA as a mobile phone

Hi all. i have an xda II, i cannot use it as a mobile phone since the indicator for the mobile provider displays this message "no service". what will i do?
tnx a lot.
I'm getting htat on the new XDAIIi I bought last Saturday. Took it back it on Sunday and was told that due to a screw up, it wasn't connected. Due to two incompatible bolt ons apparently. Something that takes up to 72 hours to sort out for some reason. Fifteen hours to go, but I'm not holding my breath.
I've just phoned O2's "customer service" who can't do anything. They referred me back to the shop.

You may fixed the network manually. If that, go to Settings\phone\networks, change the selection to automatic. Hope it can help.

tried the automatic network detection but still i get the same message. any more suggestions? thanx
Does the mobile network you connect to is GSM? If that, 2 variants as:
- Your radio module in O22 has problem, go to the customer service center
- Problem in frequency matching between your O22 and the operator. Is that the first time you connect to the network? Or after upgrading some software? It's better if you hard reset the device before doing all the above check to confirm that you do not have any conflict in softwares.

O2 Network Problem!!!!!! [URGENT]

Ok this is probably the most frustrating thing ever.
I'm on O2 Pay as you go, in the UK and my phone just isn't connecting to the network at all!
I don't have a clue why, I can't send or receive phone calls and texts and this is a bloody big problem.
Whenever I go to search networks it comes up with all the main networks, such as Orange, t-mobile...etc. Comes up with O2 too, but whenever I click on it to register it, it says "your sim does not allow a connection to this network"!
Anyone else in the UK on O2 Pay as you go getting the same problem!?
Mine does and says that now and again, mine is contract but when its says "your sim does not allow a connection to this network"! mine just connects,
Have yo tried restarting your phone? if not try this first.

Mate I've tried everything! Restarting the phone.
Leaving the phone off for a while.
Trying to connect to other networks.
Taking the piss at the moment.
I'm just wondering if it's an O2 network problem and not a problem with my phone.
I've never had this problem before, not ever.
Had the phone since it came out.
are you with anyone else who is on 02 to check the network?
Tried taking the sim out and give it a clean? can be somthing as simple as this, other than that try flashing a new radio on to it or try a hard reset

No service - HELP!

Hi Everyone.
Stock O2 ICS- rooted - bootloader unlocked
I've recently bought used HTC One V locked to O2. Problem is gsm service never worked for me.
WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS are fine but emergency call only.
I've tried different sim, 2 custom roms, hard reset and no lucky.
Under mobile network setting I cannot swap between WCDMA only - Auto - GSM only, it is sticked to WCDMA/GSM Auto only
When push *#*#4363#*#* Cannot change network mode too, WCDMA preferred fixed only, if going to radio band selection cannot choose any (Automatic, EURO Band etc) just got message "Set [automatic or any] Unsuccessful.
What is weird, When I turn mobile data on with correct APN for my provider (currently giffgaff) I have gprs running and can send and receive data, but with my other phones I had before my service has been alwaysfast as 3G and HSDPA, not "G" like now.
Please see below my screenshots, I've checked my mobile network with many apps and there is what I've found
Ok this may seem a very stupid question but it happened more than once. Are you using the little piece that covers the sim card? That has contacts in it, without it there is no signal

If you still have warranty, run a ruu so it goes back to stock, and take it to the HTC centre. If you are lucky they will recognize it as hardware problem and give you a new one. Remember to tell them it never worked, and if they ask about root or stuff, you don't know about it
No I don't have a warranty (it's second hand and a have no seller contact anymore), otherwise I would not asking here. Looking for somebody who solved this, if.

[Q] Mobile Network Not Available

Hi. I'll simply explain what happend.
I went by plane. I switch my phone on to airplane mode, but when I switch it back phone can't connect to my home network.
It detected networks and can connect to the internet but I can't make any call or recive it (the same with SMS).
It show Me the error message - Mobile Network Not Available or just simply Call ended after two beeps signal.
Show me yellow triangle on the top notification bar and message - No service, Selected network unavailable
I checked IMEI - it's correct
I used PC Companion tool to Repair My Phone - doesn't help
SIM card work well in other phone
other SIM cards - the same problem - not working (I even tryed SIM card from different country network operator).
Phone has no SIM lock
Back to factory settings doesn't solve the problem.
Any ideas what going on with my phone and how to fix it? Please
Model: D5503
Android version: 4.4.2
Build number: 14.3.A.0.757
So it did work before in your home network?
Or is it an issue with a new phone?
Sounds strange to me... If your SIM works in other phones, it can't be a provider issue.
I can't imagine that it is a software issue since it keeps happening after a factory reset.
If it's the hardware it is a warranty issue...
But maybe somebody has a suggestion for you.

I had some unusual problems with an inability to xfer data over the mobile network (as opposed to the WiFi) on my wife's Z1c, after both had been fitted with what seemed to be brand-new sim cards by the local T-Mobile store, and I found that in:
*Settings
*Wireless & Networks: More
*Mobile networks
*Access point names
...that she (somehow) had an access point name of "epic.t-mobile.com" as opposed to my APN of "fast.t-mobile.com"
So, I deleted that, and selected "create default APN", and fixed the problem.
There are other settings in that same menu, such as "preferred network type" that might be messing you up.
She could make calls and send texts with this problem, but had no internet unless she turned on WiFi.
But I cannot imagine what would be re-provisioned by switching airplane mode on and then off.
Perhaps you need to declare your sim card a dead parrot, and get a fresh one from your service provider.
This is pure speculation, I have no evidence or experience, just guessing at things that MIGHT cause such a symptom.
Hi Team,
I have purchsed a brand new Xperia Z1 from a retail store.
I am having problem with mobile network connectivity, its not behaving in normal manners.
Many times it drops network and many times it gets auto switch off in a single day and I need to restart it 2-3 times in a single day to make it work properly.
Many times it happens that its showing full network strength and when somebody calls me it says that this number doesn't exist, this is not a simcard issue as my sim is working perfectly when I use it in any other mobile.
I have already given it to sony service center two times and they use to say that softwer was required to be updated that's why you were having network problem but its not resolved yet.
Its is very costly mobile phone and as of now I can't afford to buy any new phone as I have spent my whole savings to buy this phone.
Can you please help me?
Thanks in advance.

Solution:
I struggled for 2 days to resolve this. And the solution was so simple. I resolved the issue accidentally.
Besides following all the recommendations (except the hardware part) on different online forums I was exhausted. Doing nothing, I started making a backup of my cell phone with an idle mind. And there I found an option to reset your network. I have Sony Xperia Z3 Dual. You should try this.
Go to Settings -> Back up and Reset
Scroll down
Go to "Network Settings Reset".
Then reset your cellular network. And bingo. It worked for me. I was able to make calls and use my cellphone in normal mode.
Please let me know if it worked for you. I can guide you for some more tricks.

Help No service

I have a 7T if I restart my phone the mobile radio power turns off and I have no service. It will magically go back on eventually but until then I get no service for about a day. new SIM cards do not help, factory reset, network reset, all that crap does not work. How to fix this?
Network reset? Change APN? Who's your cell provider?

Who's your provider? Verizon or it's MVNO?
Maybe get a new SIM from your provider?
Is it network or hardware?
Borrow a sim card from another network, preferably from someone with the same phone, and see if it still happens. If it is a hardware problem you will need to contact whoever you bought it from
