I just updated my SM-G900W8 to Lineage Os 15.1 recently. And then I noticed immediately that the screen turns black when I pull down the Status Bar.
(I can't upload screenshot due to network error.)
(It supposed to just dim the screen.)
I don't really know if it is because of the update. But this wasn't the case in 14.1 . I can't find anything in the settings (or I just missed it maybe).
Is there a way to change it or was it made that way?
EDIT: It randomly fixed itself. I shall send a report to Lineage OS.

As a type of Unspoken Rule, the threads for its predecessor typically continues to the new version until/unless the OP Developer changes the title or states otherwise.

So I tried to update through lineage and I lost access to the OS for a night and after letting it sit it worked again. But after I used it for a day, the screen started to glitch out and out right lose the image. Any resolutions?

Hello... I've installed LienageOS 14.1 on my Samsung i9192... but I can't install the updates, when the phone download them and reboot to the recovery but I've no directory app_updates on /data/data/org.lineageos.updater
Any help?

If you look at the last Official LineageOS Changelog Blog...

...you'll notice the following information regarding the change in the LineageOS download directory:
Major changes since August 8th
LineageOS Updater app has been rewritten. Previous issues with downloading updates should be gone now
Downloads are now stored at:
/data/lineageos_updates/

I may be a bit more experienced than many members but, I've had those "NOOB" Moments too.
I can only recommend/suggest for members to check out the Changelog/Blogs, from time to time, to see if anything new has been posted.
The Lineage folks, typically, post new ones every 30-60 days but, I've read past ones purely to take note of them.

Worst-case scenario, (and I've done this) in the OTA screen, after downloading the update you can long-press on it, then tap the disk icon that appears; it'll copy the update to the SD card. Makes it much easier to find. Would be nice if the downloader would just put it in the root folder anyway...
Hi guys,
I recently had a bootloop problem with CM13 on redmi note 3 pro kenzo, after whcih I upgraded to LOS 14, the official rom on the website and flashed it along with gapps using twrp.
Now the fingerprint scanner, which worked fine on CM13, does not work on LOS14.
It doesn't even make the small gesture vibrations when I put my finger against it.
I restored the last version of CM13 and it still works on it.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your quick reply. I managed to get it working now
The problem was when I installed CM13, I also did a firmware update, which was the culprit.
Now when I installed LOS14 I had to re-flash the latest firmware, in the link you posted.
I downloaded the firmware and flashed it with TWRP.
I have another issue though, in CM13 the fingerprint sensor would cover all of my fingertip's angles and now it seems that I have to hold it somewhat more 'parallel' to the sensor or else it won't get it. I did try rotating the finger a bit while setting it up but CM13 seemed more rubust. Any ideas?

Never mind its working correctly now. I just re-did the fingerprint thing and it's working great.
can't get my fingerprint to work on LOS 17.1, it's like it's there, but it doesn't react to anything. When I go to the fingerprint settings, it ask me to touch it in order to setup the thing, but when I place my finger on it, it does nothing. Did anyone ever heard of this issue or any fix for it? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying the Lineage os 14.1 and 15.1. They looks be unstable. Both have problem with wakeup, reboot, shutdown.
When phone go to sleep then it won't wakeup. Nothing works after falling to sleep, only black sreen. Looks like the phone gets freeze.
When i choose reboot, the operation not end, freeze.
When I choose shutdown, the operation not end, freeze.
olny battery removing helps.
The stock rom "D85530C.zip" works very good. Now phone works whit it.

Hi there,
I changed to Lineage 15.1 on my asus zenfone 3 (ze520kl) today. Everything seems to work well so far, except the phone apps (I tried some). So the call is going out but I can´t hear anything. Not even the dialing sound. The Person on the other end can´t hear me neither. Microphone in general is working, I´m able to record. I already wiped cache again and rebooted a few times. It didn´t help. Do you have any advice for me to try?
