Nobody can remove ENCROCHATOS, try to contact ENCROCHAT support

Hi, did you manage to remove it?

I wrote Encronchat and as I expected - NO REPLY.
Plus I tried literally every f**king testpoint combination and nothing works.
I highly doubt they tampered with the hardware plus the EDL should be in the read-only flash memory, not on the MMC, so it's theoretically possible to get to EDL unless they managed to flash over that one too.
I will appreciate if anyone can dump the block from a working Aquaris X.
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Image.img
The SD card location is an example.

Thank you for chiming in, although it's not helpful.
The phone cannot be put in ANY mode whatsoever.
Nobody needs to access data from the file system, be it encrypted or not.
I got an Aquaris X Pro for a daily driver and I made a dump, so the solution with the SD card I mentioned above does not work.
The only thing left is to flash the eMMC using the serial connection points on the board (DP, DM) ...

Hi , this has to be because BQ Aquaris is the phone with Encrochat OS secured - secret OS which disable Fastboot mode , recovery mode , edl mode , bluetooth , wifi , camera , apps , web browser , etc ...
These issue is probably because device was protected by some account and user has put to manu times wrong password and result of that is ENSCRYPTED DEVICE! maybe I'm wrong but that is just my opinion ...
It is difficult to get this device recognised by PC but ....
Maybe I think this pinout will help you to get your device recognised but since I don't have that device to test .
So all what you are doing is at your own risk !!!
Steps :
1. You need original micro USB cable or USB Type C cable .
2. cut the conector and saparate 4 wires :
red / black / green / white/
3. Now , unplug the battery flat cable from the mainboard and solder those wires one by one carefully like I show in the image bellow ....

4. Connect now usb cable on PC and see if it gets recognised , if not disconect the usb cable and plug battery conector and try again.
- If that doesn't work , unplug battery connector , hold Vol + and connect USB cable to the pc , if not then plug battery connector , hold Vol + and connect USB cable to the PC...
- If that doesn't work , If that doesn't work , unplug battery connector , hold Vol - and connect USB cable to the pc , if not then plug battery connector , hold Vol - and connect USB cable to the PC...
- Last you can try is the same proces but now Hold VOL + and Vol - together without the battery connector and plug the usb cable to the PC , if not then try again with pluged battery conector...
EDIT:
Two steps more I forgot to say and that is to short Data Minus and Data Plus , without battery connector plugged in . You can solder one wire on those DM and DP wires or solder one switch button so is up to you but I think is better with switch button to stop bootloop of reconecting ....
See Picture!
If that doesn't work try with battery conector in ...
Good luck , and let me know what's going on ...

If you haven’t already, then all your details and privacy has been exposed to government hackers. Google Encrochat to find out how serious this is. Pretty smart move of the guy selling you that phone. I bet he did it with false details about himself lol

I already googled about this sh*t. Thinking about going to the police before they do.

Yes either hit up the police and ask them what’s your best move to make or see if you can fully wipe the system and somehow get a custom rom and kernel on the system.

I dont think, wiping is the best idea to convince the police that i bought it over a marketplace. And i dont think theres any way to wipe it. It seems that this fuc*ing software developer also manipulated the hardware, like some News said.

I'm afraid you can not update your hspl without a connection!
The mis-recognition problem can be a setting you didn't change if you're running on win xp. Please uncheck 'Allow USB Connections' under connection settings in activesync and try again
You'll then follow what Sallo2006 has said if you need to flash via Internal Storage.
Lastly, please go for tutorials before spending any time flashing roms!! You will find your way to success! Thanks.
EDIT: I recommend using mtty before flashing and hard resetting after flashing.

flashing on a stock spl will fail at 1% and you'll need to use mtty before flashing an unsigned hspl and a rom!!

do you tried to connect hte diamond with the "usb mode" like an external HDD ?
There is 2 mode : activ sync or usb.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
USB cable is not faulty, but the actual USB 'port' on the phone.
It charges OK, but doesn't connect the phone to the PC/ActiveSync/WMDC - I connect to WMDC/ActiveSync via Bluetooth, hence wondering how I can hardSPL and flash if I can't get a 'hard' connection to PC.
Tried flashing via BluetoothActiveSync link, but doesn't work.
I don't think its possible and will have to stick to my stock ROM

When you hooked it up to the pc and the red light starts blinking try to keep pressing combo buttons. Power and volume down button, keep them pressed and try if needed many times. Check to see if you can get it to the bootloader. Once it hits the bootloader you execute this script with admin rights from the fastboot folder on the pc

m8 stuck in hboot and safe mode - fastboot not working but managed to get adb to reco

hi guys im having a problem here and would greatly appreciate some help. I have already installed android platform tools and the htc usb drivers. The phone will start in hboot only but will not go to fastboot (power button will not activate fastboot). The pc does not recognize the device either so cant use fastboot commands. Power button + vol up will boot to safe mode but then the os starts acting crazy with the touchscreen being activated all over the place (very annoying). while in safe mode, adb devices command shows that it recognizes the phone but also says unauthorized. What the heck can i do here to get this phone operational again?
What is the history of the device? Was it broken when you got it? Was there any problem with the power button before it started having these problems (only boots to bootloader or safe mode)?
Hey thanks for replying. I got the device new from att around 4 or 5 years ago and have had no problems out of it aside from a badly cracked screen which i replaced myself about 8 months ago. All of the buttons have always worked just fine.
I forgot to mention I unlocked the phone through htc website about 3 years ago and planned on rooting and modding the phone but never got around to it. I can't quite remember if I flashed a custom recovery though. I should also mention the phone got wet before all this started happening (not submerged kind of wet just rained on some )
So I'm assuming ADB sees the device as unauthorized because I'm unable to select OK when the debugging window pops up on the phone. This is due to the OK button being in a dead zone on the touch screen. This zone is the middle half of the screen top to bottom. I'm hoping it's just corrupted firmware and not a physical hardware issue as I mentioned earlier I have already replaced the screen once already.
As for fastboot not recognizing the device, I'm starting to think it's because of this older mini laptop I'm having to use as a backup because my good laptop is being loaned out to someone for a while longer. This mini laptop has 3 usb ports on it but all I believe are usb 1.1 (LOL!). Does fastboot require usb 2.0 or higher to work properly? The phone is visible in Device Manager (both internal and external storage), and I'm able to move files around no problem.
Also, does the sim card have to be in the phone in order to fix the firmware and os? I have the sim in a very basic flip phone right now just so I can make and recieve calls! I need my M8 back badly!
I'm assuming since the phone will actually get to hboot and will also boot into safe mode that this phone is recoverable ie. not bricked. I just need help with doing everything in the right order , so I dont end up doing something very wrong and rendering the device useless. Again thanks for replying and any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated!

Not clear on what you are telling us here. Are you saying that the current condition (stuck in hboot/safe mode) happen directly after it getting wet? Is so, then it would be pretty clear to me, that it is a hardware issue caused by water damage.
So I'm assuming ADB sees the device as unauthorized because I'm unable to select OK when the debugging window pops up on the phone.
You need debugging selected in phone Settings>Developer Options, as well as being able to "OK" the debugging connection request when you are connected to PC. Failing to do either of those, will prevent adb from being used. But I'm not clear on what adb command you want to use. Fastboot and adb should be thought of as 2 related, but different things. For recovering a phone in your condition, fastboot is the one you want.
As for fastboot not recognizing the device, I'm starting to think it's because of this older mini laptop I'm having to use as a backup because my good laptop is being loaned out to someone for a while longer. I don't remember USB 1.1 being an issue with adb/fastboot. In fact, it's probably more compatible then USB 3.0, which is known to cause issue with some of the HTC tools. I think I was using an old PC with Windows XP on it, when I first got my M8 (although not sure what type USB ports).
More important, is that fastboot will only work when fastboot mode selected while in bootloader (highlighted in red near the top of the screen). From what I remember, it goes to fastboot mode by default, if you boot into bootloader while the phone is connected to a PC. If not, and you can't select fastboot with the power button, than that is a problem
Also, does the sim card have to be in the phone in order to fix the firmware and os?
SIM card is not needed to fix the OS.
I'm assuming since the phone will actually get to hboot and will also boot into safe mode that this phone is recoverable ie. not bricked. I just need help with doing everything in the right order , so I dont end up doing something very wrong and rendering the device useless.
If the phone is s-on, there isn't much you can do, that is not reversible, or will make the condition worse. But as you said, it's best to follow specific instructions as we give them to you.

Mine doesn't go into fastboot by default when booted into bootloader while connected to PC. While at the HBOOT main screen, Fastboot is at the top of the list of options available to select followed by Recovery, Factory Reset, etc... The power button does not activate any of the options in HBOOT but it works just fine to power the phone on or off and in combination with the Vol Up button to boot the OS which always goes into safemode. However, the Vol Down button doesn't work anywhere. This seems to indicate to me that HBOOT and/or the firmware might be corrupted? As I mentioned earlier, I am able to move files around with no problem. Pretty sure I can't put a RUU into the root directory and fix this because I'm unable to relock the bootloader due to fastboot not working right? If so, is there a way to load/flash a good copy of HBOOT and/or firmware to the phone via my sd card?

I'd say that is a big leap of logic, and probably not a correct one. Hboot is required for the very basic functioning of the phone. Hboot corruption usually equals hard brick (screen won't even come on).
I'd say it's more likely the water damage caused hardware failure of the vol down button.

You can only flash RUU or firmware with an unlocked bootloader, if the device is s-off.
You also can't flash hboot separately unless you have s-off. You can flash firmware, which contains hboot. But again, unless you have s-off or can relock the bootloader, you can't flash firmware.
Hi there
I got the same exact problem with my m8. At the screen telling : s-on, locked..., the power button and the vol down button are not working, the vol up button is scrolling down instead of scrolling up. It appears that I am stuck in Hboot only I can't use fastboot or any other option. This is the second time I am facing that problem. The first time, I have replaced the motherboard, but since then I didn't flash any rom or done any mod on my htc and here I am now with the same mess.

Did you drop it in water, like the OP?
I would suggest anyone refrain from saying you have the "exact same problem" on this forum. I've seen that phrase (or similar) posted dozens (probably hundreds) of times. And not once, have I found (after digging for details) that statement to actually be true. Way too many variables in phone versions, software, what was done to it, etc.
Your time is much better spent giving specific details on the phone, and letter us go from there.
I did not drop in the water.
It went off after battery fully drained. When I tried to turn it on after I plugged it in my computer to charge it, the screen in the attachment showed off. It does show options like fastboot, recovery..etc, but I can't select any of them : the power button (on that screen) doesn't work but it does turn on my phone, the volume down button doesn't work at all (neither on safe mode nor on the attached screen). The vol up button works good when it's running on safe mode, but it plays the role of the vol down button once on that screen (it scrolls down instead of scrolling up).
I need to mention that I had that problem (the same exact haha) two years ago when I rooted my htc m8. Everything was just fine till one day, my phone suddenly started lagging a lot. When I tried to reboot it, that famous screen showed off. I took it to a guy who has replaced the motherboard :crying:. The phone was doing good, I didn't mod anything or rooted it, but it wasn't recognizing the second camera (once on the htc's camera app, it says that my finger is hiding the second camera). But everything was all good for about 1 year, till I got that problem again.

Water damaged OP3 only shows Tux at boot for 3 seconds (hard brick?)

Hello,
I've got a water damaged OP3 (it was in a pool for about 1min). Now after a few days having it in a pot of rice and cleaning the logic board with 100% isopropanol it finally woke up when pressing power button.
My problem now: It just shows up with a Linux Logo (a small Tux in the middle of the screen) and then turns off after 3 seconds. If I connect it with a charger, the screen persists for the moment.
When pressing + holding volume up button, windows recognizes it as "unknown usb device" and screen stays black.
I only need to access the flash to rescue some of my recent (of course not backed up) data.
What do you suggest? Could I try the unbrick the phone or do these symptons point to a irreversible hardware damage?
Is there a way to read the flash without flashing (or with flashing a minimum set of) stock image?
best regards and thanks in advance!

you better avoid doing experiments on op3. Symptoms you have mentioned in your thread, tells that your has been flashed (don't have usb drivers,no os,no firmware). I have faced same problem with my letv le 1s. It is a software problem. Your phone is totally empty. So do contact with any software technician, he uses sp flash tool to wake up the device. Download sp flash tool and follow procedure. If sp flash tool is detecting your device then it means your device hardware is fine.

Have you installed the necessary drivers in Windows for the phone to show up as Qualcom HS-USB..........Loader9008? Otherwise your phone will not be recognised when you do volume press for 10 seconds and connect. Even if it is recognised in this "service" mode, you may be able to unbrick/restore your phone but in the process, the entire phone would be wiped clean. (I know since I have done it).

I've tried to get the phone into EDL Mode (Qualcomm chip), but had no success, phone vibrates and windows recognizes an "unknown usb device" (pressed Volume Up and connected to USB, phone was definitely turned off). But I am not able to get the device recognized as "QHSUSB_BULK" which - afaik - is the prerequisite to install the Qualcomm USB Driver und go on with the unbrick procedure..
I hope anyone got some idea how to get the phone back to life..

Your understanding of the unbrick steps is not correct. Initially the phone will not show up at all or may show up as unknown or something else. It is only when you install the EDL mode drivers and then hold the power button down for 40 seconds and the hold down the volume up button for 10 seconds and connect to PC, will it show up in the EDL mode. Ofcourse you will have to disable the driver signature verification before installing the drivers.
Read the Unbrick Guide again and install the drivers before trying to connect.

Thanks so far, but being a software developer myself I am not a totally beginner. I followed the guide, also read it twice etc.. Also tried another USB cable including the original Oneplus cable.
When plugging it in while pressing Volume Up my Linux laptop reports this:
Code:
[40474.458362] usb usb3-port2: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[40475.426231] usb usb3-port2: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[40475.426354] usb usb3-port2: attempt power cycle
[40476.710061] usb usb3-port2: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[40477.677934] usb usb3-port2: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[40477.678051] usb usb3-port2: unable to enumerate USB device
On my windows machine the device manager reports "Windows has stopped the device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
Any suggestions? It seems that the device has lost all firmware etc. and there is no EDL left on the device.
EDIT:
With holding Vol(-) and Power I could get rid of the Tux Penguin and enter fastboot and recovery of the phone.. NAND seems to be okay, can decrypt my internal storage.. The USB port doesn't work in recovery (same error like I had with the EDL mode, unknown device)..
I hope I can now charge the battery a bit and recovery my data...
Thanks so far guys..

Sorry if I had sounded condescending, but I had no way of knowing your level of expertise.
Best of luck for restoring your phone or for saving the data.

No need to worry.. Of course, you couldn't know and there are a lot of people asking dump questions..
My phone is back a life, I guess the data transfer via USB is not working anymore, charging works although I needed to take my Oneplus One's battery (identical connector, just need to take care of the pin layout [+/-]) because my OP3 battery is pretty low and I don't know if I can reactivate it.. It has about 3,4V at the moment and charges very slow..
Finally, if anyone else faces this issue and can't boot his phone:
Try different button combinations and keep holding the buttons several seconds/minutes..

Phone can't connect to pc, bricked

Hi users, recently I wanted to go back form miui pie to oreo using this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/help/how-to-revert-miui-10-pie-to-miui-10-t3940244
I had some problems with flashing, phone got disconnected from pc during fastboot flashing (loose cable) and after reconnecting I couldn't flash anything so I restarted the phone. Now all I've got is black screen (the backlight works but I can't see anything) I can restart the phone when holding power button and doing the combination of power up and vol+, but it's the same. If I connect the phone to pc in this conditon nothing happens, I can't hear any sound indicating that phone is connected, nothing in device manager, I even disconnected the battery and tried the edl pins but it's the same result, pretty weird. Can anyone give me any hint?

Yeah, but the point is, you can connect to pc and flash things and I can't do anything, I suspect my computer fried usb board or something on the motherboard bc it's impossible I can't get qualcomm hs-usb loader 9008.
As it turns out, after rebooting the pc, it doesn't boot anymore. Phone doesn't work and pc. Coincidence? formatting pc was needed (pc works now), could it be a virus or my power supply simply gave too much voltage to the usb? I was doing everything during the storm, y'know, thunders.. I don't know anymore, I tried even connecting to a different pc and the result is the same. I can't do anything on my phone, could it be broken usb board?
EDIT: It connects now in edl, I was shorting the pins incorrectly (can't touch the ground [shielding] while shorting the pins). Pls close this thread.
