my Redmi Note 5 Global arrived today. I have the permission for unlock since 2 years, so I tried to unlock it with no success. First I got an unknown error and after some attempts I got the message: Couldn't Unlock "After 360 hours of trying to unlock the device".
Is there a way to solve this? I've found no solution so far, would a new mi account with new permission solve the problem?

Tried 2 new account. First I get an error that my account is not bound to the device, then I bind it and the 360 hours message is back
The secret trick is not to Bind your account in Developer Options, but just log in on the device.

Then there's the following error. Tried it with 3 mi accounts, with and without VPN, disabled firewall...
Don't know what I'm doing wrong :|

Have you logged in to the same account on phone as the unlock tool. Again Don't BIND in developer options.

Yes. Everytime the same error
These are the steps I'm doing, maybe there's something obvious wrong or I'm too stupid^^
1. Try to unlock with first account --> 360h
2. Reboot phone, logout from mi account. Login into the second mi account.
3. Reboot in Fastboot --> sign out on the mi unlock tool and sign in with the second account --> current account is not bound to the device.
After the 360h message from the first account, the mi unlock tool should be not touched?
Edit: Tried also the way with removing the device from I.mi.com. My RN5 has no inserted sim card, is that a problem? Just wifi.
Edit 2: Tried also with closing mi unlock tool between the 2 unlock attempts and with inserted sim card, same result.

Uhmm, you should also try to clear the cache of MI unlock tool. Otherwise, it gives you same error no matter how many times you try. That's what I'd do. It might not work but try it and redo the procedure. Share the results

Can't exactly remember. Look in file menu for about option in mi unlock tool and in that if I remember correctly there should be a log button. If you click that a directory will open. Remove all the files. It may not be accurate as I'm not at home right now.

I wondered, I fiddled a bit with the config, and I saw:
C:\Users\me\Downloads\miflash_unlock-en-3.3.525.23\config\app_info
Inside:
"http://update.miui.com/updates/mi-updateV6.php?v=1.0.0.0&c=4.1&d=miflash_unlock"
Maybe there's a way to call an OLDER api version
I don't have time to play with that, but maybe it's a good hint to solve the issue.

It saying Could not unlock after 50 hours of try. even it tried about 10 seconds.
when i need to get permission request to unlock
only thing i see that download unlock tool
i try to do with all steps available but no unlock and no massage from xaomi to wait or any thing

you can try to turn off sync in your mi account
Unlocking the bootloader
While unlocking the bootloader, I went to developer settings and was trying to unlock the device.
Don't disconnect from the network, sign out of your Mi Account, perform a factory rest, or erase system data. If you've already done any of the above, add your Mi Account again; otherwise, you won't be able to unlock your device.
I was getting this error, after restarting the phone, signing out and signing in; the same issue.
I even did a factory reset but had the same issue.
Please let me know what can be done.

I'm still getting that binding error when I'm trying to unlock it using the tool. (Tried with multiple accounts)

All answers are here in forum, just read... None of tricks works anymore, only way is the official way, apply for unlocking, wait 360hours, then unlock.

I already have the permission to unlock.
When I try to bind on phone I get 86006 error, and tried the some solutions for without binding but I get binding error in the unlock tool.

Try updating miui version.
Just wanted to ask if anyone has found any working unofficial method to unlock BL in redmi 5A. The stupid "Current Account can not unlock this device" error that i have been getting for tye last 4 months won't be solved no matter what i do and xaacnz's method is too complicated for someone who doesn't know programming. I was hoping if anyone hopefully found out a method to unlock BL they could share it with me.
Im done by flashing it into chinese rom using edl mode, after that unlock bl while using chinese rom, after successful flash again using global rom

I got a note 5a with the bootloader locked and mi account locked, i tried to hard reset but now he ask me for the mi account wich i don't have, tried to flash with miflash but i need bootloader unlocked wich i don't have too, tried to unlock the bootloader but he told me that i need to add the oem unlock to the mi account, but i can't do that either because i am stuck in the boot menu in the first place.
Alrerady tried the MiAccountUnlock-Tool method, in the program was fine but oncve it boots again he ask me for the mi account
There still hope for me?

Same here. wondering is any way to fix it..
I'm trying to unlock my Xiaomi note 8t's bootloader to install a custom rom. I have tried on many different platforms with many different unlocking tools including the official Xiaomi MiUnlocker. I seem to always fail at 99% as it keeps telling me to connect my account in developer options. I have done many times, which is making 0 difference. I have read many threads saying it only works on miui 10 or you have to wait 48 hrs after linking. I have waited a week and nothing has changed and cant find a way to downgrade to miui 10. If I have left any information out please forgive me as I am new to this sort of stuff.
