Links to threads in emailed notifications are not clickable - LG G7 - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Just got the phone a few days ago, so I'm in the process of trying to learn it's subtleties...
I've posted a few things on this particular forum, and I've received "instant email notification" of replies. The issue is that the email tells me where the response is located, but it's just in regular text, and not a blue hyperlink. Is there a setting that will turn these supposed links into real, clickable links?

Repeated notifications about new topics

I receive up to 5 notifications when a new topic is added to a thread I've subscribed to. I tried to unsubscribe and subscribe again to those threads. It helps for some days, when I start receiving again more and more notification mails.
Am I the only one experiencing such a problem? Is there a permanent solution, apart from unsubscribing at all?

No. You're not alone. I, too, get 3 - 5 notifications for the same reply on threads I'm subscribed to. It's just started in the past week or so.

Unread message counters

Hi, got my TP2 yesterday and it's by far not only the best device I've ever had (and I've had a few including the iPhone) but it has to be the best on the market (I know, inflammatory statement, but it's how I feel).
Anyhoo, not really a TP2 question, but in general I've always found it annoying that when you scroll through received SMS messages, I've had to pause on the the message for 2 seconds or so before the little green counter registers it's read. As I get quite a lot of SMS messages (sometimes over a hundred a day) this can be annoying as for a lot of the messages I don't need to read them, I just want to get on with it.
Is there a way in the registry or somewhere where I can set this to register the read message immediately?
Cheers,
Pete

I have a developer suggestion regarding notifications!

I feel the toast notifications for wp7 are sub par, they just dont provide me with enough information when i get a new text and not even when i get a new email so i have to leave the app im using to go directly to the text or email application.
for example i will get a text notification and often times the details of the text or the sentence itself are too long to fit in the notification window. how about this:
when the notification hits, is it possible to let the ENTIRE messsage stream in the notification window box that appears at the top of the screen? just like it does with android?
Also can we make further use of the toast notification window to include new email messages too? to inform us that say 5 new emails have appeared?
as good as these ideas are, some will desire the opposite saying that the fact it shows some of the text message even when the screen is locked allows for people to see your private texts... so it goes both ways...
that and you're asking for this on the wrong forum, this is something you should suggest to MS directly, either through social.microsoft.com or by twitter

which rises the suggestion to allow a preference in the toasrts that would:
allow full message playback (on/off)
no message playback. (on/off)
no messages on lockscreen (on/off)
three options that would be very nice ...and simple

[Q] Thread subscription notifications

EDIT: RESOLVED.
Hello,
For some inexplicable reason, I quit getting email notifications of threads I'm currently subscribed to. I double-checked my forum setting and even made a filter to make sure the emails aren't going to spam, but to no avail.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I'm also not getting PM emails either.
Sounds like an email issue at your end, as my pm notifications seem fine.
Could your provider be filtering them?

I suppose it's possible, but I've not had that issue before. But it's Craptastic Verizon DSL, so I definitely wouldn't put it past them. I'll check into it.
Thanks for the response.
EDIT: I just checked my previous e-mails and all my notifications suddenly stopped after November 10th at 11:08am EST. Weird.
EDIT AGAIN: Figured it out. For some reason Google locked the email address I was using (one I have forwarded to my main account)???? I've had that email for 6,443,522 years, so i'm not sure why. But I've sent a note to get it unlocked. Sorry for wasting anyone's time.

Strange Problem

Hi,
First if am in wrong forum thread do tell me.
I am using HTC Wildfire on CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1-buzz
All was ok however I had synced last night with my gmail account and suddenly the "ME" has changed.
As in when I go to SMS and send anyone a message. the message shows as "ME".
The ME is showing image of one of my contacts n not me. if I press it for a while it should give me options of "call" "open contact" etc. It opens that person contact not mine.
However all the people are getting messages correctly. Its just in my own message box it is bit awkward to see someone else photo as "ME".
Any ideas?
hmmm seems u are wrong here...
u should contact a doctor and talk with him about your split personality
(sry i coudn't resist)
anyway this should have been posted in general forum - and not dev section.
Sadly i also don't know the reason...
so u may consider this SPAM
