flash stock rom using twrp - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

Is there any way to flash stock rom using twrp ? If yes please guide me with the details. Thanks in advance.

QFIL should be used if you want day 1 stock experience, stock TWRP flashable zips are also available but it does not flash all partitions unlike QFIL.

[Q] Revert to stock recovery in order to flash KK

Hi everyone,
I am currently using PAC-MAN for 4.2 by sudu_petru and would very much like to try KK.
Unfortunately, I think that the only I can update my firmware is via the dload method, wich I
can't use because I'm currently using TWRP recovery 2.6. I am tempted to flash the B118 recovery
but I'm afraid it might brick my device. Is flashing the recovery ONLY as risky as flashing the whole
firmware? Or is it possible to flash the device using the dload method through TWRP?
Regards,
Chovine.

Thank you for your answer, but I'll reformulate my question more simply. I was originally on
B120CN, I installed PAC-MAN and TWRP. I would like to revert to stock recovery so
is it SAFE to flash B118 recovery.img or could it brick my phone?
Thank you for your time .
I flashed CN118 recovery without any problem (except that the phone was vibrating while it was on recovery). If you want you can also flash KK recovery which I prefer and worked better.
It's safe to flash the stock recovery, you will not brick the device with it.

LG G3 T-Mobile Stock Recovery

So I rooted my G3 and I flashed twrp with flashify so I could flash xposed ( did not flash a custom ROM, just xposed) I got an OTA update so I tried flashing my stock recovery using flashify but i just got an error and had to pull the battery to reboot. I know some of you will think its pointless to root and flash a custom recovery just to revert back to stock but can anybody help me get back my stock recovery so I can get the OTA update.
You need the flash whole stock ROM via FlashTool first.

Go back to Stock ROM from Custom ROM

Hey everyone. I'm having some troubles with every custom ROM I install on my S3 T-Mobile (d2tmo) so I want to come back to Stock ROM. I've been watching some tutorials, but lot of them are pretty old, and none is for the Galaxy S3.
So, what do I need to do to go back to Stock ROM?
Should I do a full wipe from recovery (TWRP) and then flash stock ROM via Odin?
The custom ROM I flashed is 6.0.1. The phone had 4.3 when I flashed the custom ROM.
Am I right about what I think I should do?
Thanks in advance. :good:
Yep. The firmware you'll use in Odin should be a .tar.md5 file.
Just flash the latest stock rom from sammobile.com using Odin. No need to do anything before flashing the stock ROM.
After flashing the stock ROM, immediately boot into recovery and perform a factory wipe.

Thank you very much for answering my questions guys! Everything turned out ok!
But I have a doubt about a little think that I hope you could help me.
Before flashing the stock rom I was planning on backing up my efs folder from the TWRP,version 2.8.70 for my s3 (d2tmo), but when I try to do a backup, there no "EFS Folder" option, however, on my other phone, a Galaxy Note 3 Exynos Variant (International Version) when I try to perform a backup there is a EFS folder option for backing up. It is also a TWRP recovery, and same version. 2.8.7.0. I know the phones are completely different, but, why if I'm using the same custom recovery and same version I can't do a EFS Folder backup from the backup option?
I hope I made myself clear about my question. Sorry for my English BTW, it is not my first language.
Thanks in advance!
Maybe this will help although it requires root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/development/updating-t3210266

searching for twrp flashable stock rom and stock recovery for s9 g960f

my usb port is broken and i need to revert to stock so im searching for a twrp flashable stock rom/recovery. the best would be if the stock rom and stock recovery is seperated, so i can flash the rom first and see if it boots and then flash stock recovery. DBT prefered.

I dont think
You cannot update firmware if you've tripped Knox.
You will have to flash firmware in TWRP.
Check out Soldier thread on here. He has custom ROM and firmwares

As far as i'm aware you cannot update stock firmware through twrp. You will have to use Odin or smartswitch.
Custom ROMs/Kernels can be updated via twrp.
As for your other question as to what to backup in twrp I would backup all partitions ( complete ).
You can restore all or seperate partitions as needed .
If you upgrade your firmware (via Odin) it will replace twrp with stock recovery. I would recommend backing up apps/data by something like smartswitch in case you have issues re-installing twrp.( I would do this any way ). I'm pretty sure if you restore via twrp only the data partition would be needed.

You will still have to format the data partition after re-imsalling twrp even with the latest 3.3.0.0 version.
From your other thread there are two ways to update twrp
In twrp flash the .IMG file
With Odin flash the .IMG.TAR file
