I have 6gb ram version of Asus Zenfone 5Z. Since I bought, I am facing problem with camera. Sometimes, the camera hangs while recording a video. I need to close the camera, clear the recents inorder for the camera to work again. Now Today morning tried clicking some pics, then something strange happened. I have clicked 3-4 pics and can see that they are saved (saw the thumbnail pic at right bottom of camera ). But when I clicked 4th pic, camera cant capture click but only the button is clickable. I cant even enable any options in camera. I have force stopped the camera and started working fine. Any solution for this issue??
Also, i need to remove the camera shortcut in lockscreen. how to do? Please help me with a solution.

I purchased z5p two weeks back. But i am very much worried about camera MP. In specification and sony default camera application shows 23MP. But when i install third party hardware info softwares or Camera softwares it only shows that z5p has only 8.3MP. I am very much worried about it. it happen to me 2, even some app dont detect the SD810 as it, it says another name, also if u install 3rd party camera apps only can detect up to 8.3Mpx
the problem is that sony lock the relusolution of the camera.
we can go over 8mp only with the stock sony camera app

Now we can use the Pixel 3 /Xl camera on our device without root and yes with AR Emojis too!!

Same here
Installed all three apps but in AR it is showing "Still searching for the floor"
And also the phone starts heating very much after 5 min of use
Added Night Sight enabled gcam ,
Bugs:
Viewfinder if black for night Sight, though it can capture photo

But it's still very good. Best campera app any phone can have. Trust me.

Installed night sight enabled gcam.but as soon as the picture taken is selected for preview ,it goes to Google photos where it can be only viewed after finishing backup .Any else faced a similar issue ?

To fix this issue go to setting > color values > manual fixed black level offset > fix black level front camera and select 15.80?

got my phone about 2 days ago from custom and now i noticed that the main cam (64mp) its just not work!
I installed g cam and all the photos I got is the secondary cam and the main cam just doesn't even turn on

Is this software related issue or hardware ?!
Try the following:
1. Clear cache and data of Camera app.
2. Force stop camera app and try to re-open.
3. Download Open camera from play-store and check if the 64px camera works.
4. If non of them works, try resetting everything on your phone.
Let me know the update.

I mean, this 64mb is just not that 64mb
The main cam is not working on "64mb ultra mode" instead of it, the second cam takes this kind of res with 8megapixel ! that's just so weird man
Here is what I don't understand:
the main cam works only on "utra wide angle mode" !!! with a ****ty quality like old 2mb Nokia phones back in the time
the primary camera is not supposed to take "utra wide angle" this is the 2nd cam's job
I don't see any decent or even "OK" quality on the 8mb cam
this **** is just too complicated
I've contacted my Intermediate buyer from china and waiting for his response to replace the phone
P.S: Can you post me some shots with your X2 on "64mb ultra mode" here ? I'd be appreciated
P.S 2:Tested Open Camera and no luck, Main camera not working, second camera take its place.
Happily I can say that, kinda problem with the cam has been solved!
did a clean installation from fastboot
camera is not that "ultra crystal clear" thing that the X2 commercial said though but its still good and with Gcam is better
that samsung GW1 64mb camera is not what I expected to be as a 48mb sony IMX586 takes a little bit better pics in detail IMO
wish I could w8 for the 686 one
BTW I'd be appreciate if you guys share some of your shots taken by X2 here.
Well two things... One, stock cam 64mp lools like crap anyways so they binned 4 pixel to 1 to make 16mp for better image. Two, camera2api does not report 64mp raw size so you will never ever take 64mp, only 16mp. The gcam you have is not created correctly.

das anyone of you also experience flickering videos where the zoom mode kind of jumps quickly forth and back between ultrawide and regular mode?
Easiest way to reproduce:
1. Start camera app
2. Switch to "Camera"
3. Set zoom level to "0.7" (Ultrawide mode)
4. Now hold the trigger button pressed so that it not only takes a photo but instead captures a video
5. Stop recording
6. Playback recording.
Example - attached.
Anyone able to confirm or not to confirm this behavior?

does it only happen in this specific camera record mode? Did it happen before? Try another camera app (like Graphene Privacy Camera or MWP Gcam). also uninstall all updates for the google camera app, clear storage, restart, and test it again.

Have you tried it? Can you confirm it does (not) happen in your setup?
I have already a few users who have confirmed this and I am trying to get an idea of how widespread this issue occurs.
Btw, phone has been reinstalled already. It specifically happens in this mode only. That's why I have posted (hopefully) clear instructions about how to reproduce this issue.
Just installed ver 8.5 and tested. Looks like there is no more problem for me. Ver 8.5 is first version for Pixel 6a
