carrier aggregation support - Asus Zenfone 5Z Questions & Answers

Does Asus Zenfone 5z support carrier aggregation?

It does work in my location with 2 operators .. If not working you might need to check with operator . Operrators have added CA only in few cities IMHO

It advertised Cat 18 LTE which supports up to 4xCA. You may need to reach out to Asus to get a list of the LTE bands it supports with CA.

[Q] 4g compatibilty japanese Zenfone 2

Hi there,
I just bought a zenfone 2 in Japan and brought it back to France. Everything is working fine except for the 4g that is never "detected" by my phone even though the model I bought is supposedly 4g compatible. I only get the H+ symbol (whereas I had no issue getting it with the same sim on my previous phone)
Now I now that Orange in France uses frequencies 800 Mhz and 2600 Mhz for the 4g but I can't manage to find the information for the japanese version of my phone that was bought sim free (not through an operator like ntt docomo or else). And I don't know if it can be changed in a way or another.
Any idea how to debug this and eventually correct it if it is only possible ?
My zenfone is rooted as I figured it might maybe help to tweak something..
Thanks in advance

Thank you for your reply.
However, on the link you provided it is specified that the 4g capabilities of my phone (ZE551ML) with a worldwide firmware (WW) which I flashed on my phone are as follows:
"FDD-LTE: (WW)
2100MHz(1)/1900MHz(2)/1800MHz(3)/1700MHz
AWS(4)/850MHz(5)/2600MHz(7)/900MHz(8)/800MHz(20)"
I'm not sure how to interpret it but as my carrier specifies the 4G frequencies for FDD are 800Mhz and 2600Mhz it should be fully compatible ?
As for the APN I set it just as specified on my carrier website.
My phone still seems limited to HSPA+.
Same issue
My phone was bought from India. I now live in the UK and I don't get 4G on channel 20, 800MHz. My phone it's not rooted. My software begin is WW. No 4G. The disclaimer seems to be a bit deceptive.
You are out of luck I think. The Japanese model has LTE bands 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,18,19 & 28. Orange in France uses LTE bands 7 & 20. So you are stuck with 3G unfortunately.

G4 H815T LTE band.

i have the mentioned model number of LG G4. but apparently LTE isn't working with my carrier which supports Band 3 1800.
My phone does support band 3 but with all the right settings still its working on 2G .. please help..
i live in pakistan an using warid network.
You probably don't have the correct apn settings

I think it's best to ask oneplus support or ask your question open beta 13 thread on oneplus forums.

Any way to enable LTE band 1 on ATT K10?

I have an unlocked K10/ATT model that I was attempting to use overseas in Japan on docomo network needs one of (LTE band 1,19,21).
After checking online at some sites I have seen mixed reports if the phone supports LTE band 1 2100mhz.
The phone does not connect to carrier and the manuals for ATT version look like band 1 is not supported.
Im wondering if the hardware itself actually supports band 1 and if there is any way via firmware update or secret menu to enable it.
Appreciate any related info.

Question Force enable carrier aggregation outside us.

Hi everyone. Im wondering if this is possible for pixel 6 pro. Basically my unit is direct from us store which is G8VOU. Now im using it in Malaysia and 4g lte works fine.
Now im wondering if carrier aggregation is possible through root. Right now from what see through netmonster it can do 2ca on the same band(check screenshot). I think its aggregating two towers with the same band, i may be wrong though.
Anyone had any idea how to force enable multi band ca? The local sold phone can go up to 5ca which are mainly band 1, 3, 7 ,8. Thanks in advance.
I would also like to know
Is it not 4G+ an indication of currently using carrier aggregation?
Try to download NPerf app and click on speed test button. It will detect your carrier and mention it's currently on 4G+ or LTE-A
Another proof is below when you check in *#*#4636#*#* . Currently my Yoodo is on band 7 and band 3.
And Digi Malaysia only have 1 band which is Band 7
Digi - Malaysia - Wireless Frequency Bands and Device Compatibility
Digi (Malaysia) uses 2 GSM bands, 1 UMTS band, and 1 LTE band. Find out if your unlocked phone or mobile device will work with Digi (Malaysia)

I sometimes have band 3 and 8 as well. Just never 3 or 4ca at a time. Only up to 2ca max.
The modem decides aggregation.
