Viper4arise - HTC U12+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Thought I'd share my experience with installing these sounds mods. I have been able to install Viper4arise via magisk and it's working great and has made a difference over my Bluetooth headphones.
If I then try to install Dolby atmos then the phone goes into bootloop. Between the warning screen and the white HTC screen. Same happened when installing with TWRP.
You just have to be patient it seams that if you wait it stops bootlooping and sits on the white HTC screen and at that point you can hold down the power button followed by the volume down button to get to recovery.

[Q] ONE X problem after installing mode

Hello,
I just unlocked my bootloader and installed the new ARHD, not the EB-2, the 9.4.2. After the installtion i let the phone boot up and I installed some apps. After that I decided to install a mode called : "[MODE][AROMA] Beats Mode - Enhanced Beats sound V7 [9/9/12]".
I went through the aroma installer and my phone rebooted, but this time I only see the "HTC quietly brilliant"-screen and then get a black screen. But I can see that the display is on power and not off.
I cant accsess recovery by pressing the power button and volume down. The phone only boots up and get to the black screen.
Please guys help me
Hi friend, I had the same problem. I was told to hold the power button until the screen went dark black? I know sounds crazy but only sure way of device being completely off. Next whilst holding power hold volume down. Then let go of power. When the menu comes up select fastboot. Connect via USB and issue the clear cache command. Cant remember what it was exactly.... "fastboot clean cache" maybe. Then restart. All should be well. Check google for the command.

Thanks, now everything is okay. I'm reinstalling the whole rom, hopefully it will work

[Q] Root But No Recovery?

Guys, I just installed a pre-rooted image ( I9505XXUBMGA) and it's working fine, but I have no recovery of any kind? I tried installing CWM by flashing through Odin, but trying recovery keys means it just goes to a black screen and then reboots once you let the keys go and boots into the phone as per normal - also tried installing Goo manager and TWRP but no joy there either.
A bit of an oddity is that after installing the above, I installed ROM manager, which subsequently detects TWRP (even though it was uninstalled at this point) but selecting 'reboot to recovery' means it reboots into CWM!! I definitely can't get CWM through the recovery key combination though....
I'm pretty stuffed without any kind of recovery at all, so am not sure where to go from here? Help anyone?

Instead of holding power + volume the whole time, try letting go of the power button as soon as you feel it vibrate but keep the volume up pressed. Once you see the first splash screen with Recovery Booting in the upper left, you can go ahead and let go of the volume button as well.

Jeez, it's always the simplest of things!! Slightly different than my old S2 then...... thanks, bud, you saved me hours of hair pulling!! Any recommendations for an app that'll detect the CWM? I thought ROM manager would, but obviously not..... not in my case anyway.... not the end of the world, as long as CWM is working, that's the main thing!
Edit: Cancel the above, I got ROM Manager working......

infinite bootloop after updating cm12

hi,
after I updated my htc m8 ( cm12 ) , my phone got stuck in an endless bootloop.
I can't get it in recovery because it continues to reboot.
please help !
Hold power + volume up, when the screen goes black you keep the power button pressed and switch to volume down. It will put you in the bootloader. Reflash the working rom and reboot.
Basic stuff mate

HTC One M8 not responding to power button press during bootloop.

I just installed viper rom and I was trying to install Quantum Kernel.
The install finished for quantum and rebooting seemed fine at first. There was an updating android and bla bla bla
But weird thing is, it restarted and now it's stuck on the powered by android with the 'ono' logo on it.
It's not responding to any of the button presses im trying and I think i may need to let it die off on it's own.
I'm sure the power button is working, but idk why the device is not responding to my keypress.
Please help, this phone is kindas new.
Power + volume up = force reboot.
Once the screen goes black switch to volume - and that will get you to the bootloader.

Stuck on Recovery Menu

Hello Everyone,
So Redmi Note 8 was working fine. For the last few days randomly the Volume Icon Appears on the screen and doesn't go away until I press volume down. I think this issue is related to the Volume Up Button. sometimes it doesn't work.
A day ago it got an update so I tried to update it.. after download it restarted and was loading .. got stuck on 4.99% for a while then restarted itself into the recovery menu. no matter how many times I tried to reboot.. it just comes back to it..
after a while when I tried to reboot while holding down the volume down and the power button it rebooted. and was fine but still had the volume issue..
just a few mins ago it restarted and now again its stuck on the recovery menu..
I don't mind about data already backed up when it booted.
i don't really need it to be rooted.
Just want it to work.. also having a custom recovery is fine.
so what do I do for that?? I was looking through guides everything I found required enabling bootloader but my phone won't boot so no way to do that.. at least I don't know of any method.
if anyone can help me with it.. i will really appreciate it..
Thank you ^^
Edit: Its on a Loop now.. Stay on Recovery Menu for a few mins then restarts and goes back into the recovery menu. Been doing it over and over again.
Update:
I figured out the issue.. it was the volume button.. the volume up button was not working as mentioned.. but it seems it was stuck at the volume up position.. That was the reason why I had the Volume notification on screen all the time... and the reason why it kept going back to the recovery menu..
I replaced the Volume Button and now everything is good.
Thanks Everyone ^_^
