i just buy a lg g2 sprint and the guy who sell me the cell told me that it was unlocked and it was cause im using it with my telcel sim card in mexico but i just find out that it has a custom rom call rayglobe flex 3.5 android 4.2.2 , and i just found out that sprint cannot be unlocked by code and i found a way to get it simunlock , i want to update to 4.4.2 for that i need to return to stock
i follow instructions exactly i download tot and dll for ls980 but my phone says that is a d802 but the back of my phone says ls980 and is a sprint version but my phone says d802 so when i try to use lgflashtool everything go ok but after waiting for conection says wrong model number or check dll
and i cant return it to stock is there a way to change model number so lgflashtool can be use ?
and kind of new to custom roms and root and stuff
i have twrp recovery
or is there like a custom rom that i could flash without loosing my simunlock?

what is th first thing i should do? i cant back up like EFS right unless i unlock bootloader. i don not want to just yet..

I have a lg g4 815h bought from ebay India and using in India for a few months back...it was working fine till yesterday. A pop up was coming for a system update since 1 month so I decided to perform the update ...so I allowed the update but as soon the phone rebooted and the android sign came it showed error.
After 5 mins nothing happned so i restarted the device it booted but since then the camera is is not working says unfortunately camera has stopped ,even my phone call pick up screen is not showing when there is a call to answer...
I can call some one but cannot end the call due to no calling screen is appearing.
I did hard reset but the situation is same...
Should I flash using lg flash tool ?any version works on windows xp?I only have a windows xp Pc...
Or please provide a solution which can be performed using recovery like twrp...
Please help...

one more problem I have Identified on my phone ,
I can see the hardware serial no shows LGLS991852e50ae which can be a sprint phone but the software installed shows that the phone's model is H815...
what to do...

open phone . take out mother board .. and read plaque model. if sprint flash sprint KDZ and LGUP. if H815 then do that .. thats the only way to be sure.
U have a refurbished model.Go to nearest mobile repair shop & take out your motherboard to see what model no is written on this.Then flash a rom accoringly. Don't flash any other rom just by assuming else you will brick your device.

Most probably it will be locked cause most higher Android versions LG has blocked rooting or unlocking..But you can always browse few threads.
Mine is also a refurbished model with F500L motherboard,LS911 body & had H815 global rom installed out of the box.I am currently on F500L Nougat locked & unrooted..I have tried almost every method.It failed to root & even to enter fast boot.
If you get your proper model no on motherboard then just flash the rom with ToT flasher in download mode with respective DLL.

You cant unlock it?
Can we degrade our Os to lollipop to get root?
Even I cant turn on the Enable OEM unlock under the developer mode...

I have tried almost all h815 ans ls991 roms with all flashing methods but still unable to successfully flash my device...lg tot flash tool always show dl error after 4 to 6 percent of flashing...

Pick the phone, and send it to the place where you bought it. If you have warranty the repair is free, if not, then you must pay sadly.
Still no solution, I even cannot enable OEM unlock under developer options...
It automatically disables it...

Just experienced this issue after changing sim card... Call and Camera stopped working over and over again.
How I solved it: Go to the specific app that is causing you trouble, and clear cache/files (too bad I only found this after 3 factory resets).

few weeks back i bought a lg g5 Sprint device. that was working fine on my home carrier ZONG 4G (lte band B3 1800+) fine .but unfort after getting one after an other software updates devices became network locked at ZVE . so i went to a locle technician for unlock.. but he did a downgrade and device became dead .. i searched here and there and came to know that it is un repairable .. so i decided to rplace its logic board..and bought an old lg g5 sprint and rplaced the board ..
NOW...i have the following problems with my device..
1...4g lte not working on my lg g5 sprint (with new board)
2...sim contects option is not present (l cant list sim contects. nor able to save contects on sim.
3.. device is unlocked by hidden menu call .. and running on lab network mode.. tried to enable lte Band 3 1800+. but band is not listed..
4... many of system apps are missing ..
5... cant add APN through setting .
so i decided to reflash device with STOCK ZV8 .. but dont know how .. and also want to know . if reflashing the same firmware will solve the issues.. your kind words will be highly appreciated in this regard.. thanks.
