How thick is it? Does it make the phone awkward to hold?

The thick part is like almost 3/4th of an inch. It actually doesn't feel too bad to hold, however, because of the sharp drop in thickness it gets really awkward using the fingerprint sensor. I assume this awkwardness is magnified the smaller your hands get.
Kinda grippy, but its more on the smoother hard plastic side of things.

Got mine today, it's nice, but I'm not sure I like it.

I agree, it's nice but it's kind of heavy for holding it a long time. My wrist starts to ache after a while. And the unevenness of the back makes it difficult to use flat on a table. I just threw mine in my bag in case I need more battery and don't have any cables with me.

I have never used a battery case before, is it best to tun on the battery when the device needs a charge, or charge both to 100% and turn on the batter case and leave it on?

I would say it's better to use the battery when your phone battery is low. Instead of them both being on All the time.

I had a Moto Z Force and the battery mod and it would keep your phone charged at 80% until it ran out of juice.

Yeah but for the sake of battery health, your phone battery charges and discharges over and over. It wears it down a bit. Whether that difference is negligible, up to the person. Also, I doubt this battery case will keep it at only 80.

For a price of $119.95..Unfortunately out of stock..but a may 25th date has been set as the shipping date..Anybody want the "Extra Strong Extended Replacement Battery..w/ 2.55x the stock battery life"..sounds pretty damn nice!
That's more than I paid for my atrix!

Wow,
Man, that's ginormous. I like that this phone's battery lasts almost a good 24hrs with solid use. My Evo would last that long if I barely used it lol. Oh and my girlfriend's Inspire! Forget about it, lol.
Overall, I'm happy with the battery life now and can't imagine how long something that large would last.

Yea. Actually took the case and cover off my phone after reading that little bit. Didn't remember the battery being right at the base of the fingerprint reader. So using a seriously big battery would make that kinda pointless.... since not only would it be hard to reach, but they'd have to design some crazy cover to even get it to work.
I bought one of these and so far NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!?
Is there something I need to do so Android understands it has more capacity, or does it just s*ck? I was also wondering if others have similar experience.

Some devices will only recalibrate the battery meter when the battery gets completely (or almost completely) discharged and THEN fully recharged. Don't know if that's the case with Atrix, but it's worth a try.

I have it for my Vibrant and it makes it about as thick as an iphone 4 . It protects it from falls and looks good doing it. 1300 mah is enough battery to get you through for 20 or so hours, and then you are going to plug it in at night. I dont know of any cases that fit extended batteries either.
And really, who the hell is going to carry a spare battery ?

Just got it now, and charging it.
Its not very beautiful with these "spaces" for the volume and power buttons, and the texture of the material used doesn't feel nice IMHO.
The mophie juice pack had a nicer fit on my iPhone 4.
Oh,
and while charging with the powerpack in place I already had 3 battery full warnings in 10 minutes.
Update: It keeps beeping during charge every few minutes with powerpack in place, removed the powerpack in order to silence the phone.
I think it makes the powerpack useless with this full charge warnings, unless you are deaf.

I have it and it's not doing it too often, more like once every hour or so.
But yeah it's annoying, prolly why my local distro is discontinuing import of the case in lieu of the supposedly coming official 2000mah extended battery with cover.
Ok, next problem....
powerpack is fully charged (blue light)....
Put my phone in, after a while it beeped fully charged........
Now the powerpack it doesn't seem to charge the phone anymore, and the phone keeps telling me I need to remove the charger......
So I disconnected and reconnected the powerpack, and now its charging again, but the above happened again... And the "remove charger" notification cannot be removed... unless you remove the powerpack from the phone.
Until now this powerpack seems like a miserable piece of (ugly) junk, and although its a genuine Samsung thing, phone and powerpack don't work together....
The issues I've read here are a deal breaker for me. I'm cancelling my order for the battery pack.
The 2000 maH model is confirmed or just a rumor?

That looks nicer than most of the battery cases out there, but man the price is definitely gonna have people running away.
DO NOT buy this thing. The battery discharges at the same time as the internal battery. It's not like the mophie where you can turn the external battery on when you need it. It's a silly concept to have both batteries discharge immediately after disconnecting from a power source.

Actually, that is BETTER. the float would be better, and equal MORE power than trying to recharge a battery with a battery. (hence why normal el-cheapo battery cases have such crappy performance.) trying to discharge both at the same time will let you use all of both batteries, but trying to charge one batt from the the other makes you hit a wall, where you can't discharge any more (when they even out).

HOW does this make any sense? The idea of having a backup battery is that you can turn it on when your main battery runs down. Otherwise, you've got 2 batteries draining at the same time and running out at the same time. I had the original case from this company for my Evo, I returned it after three days. Their entire design/thought process is flawed.
Look at how a mophie works, you can turn it on WHEN the internal battery runs low to keep going. THAT makes sense. Not discharging both batteries simultaneously. Just means you're carrying around a spare paperweight.
LoL, your both wrong.
It's still as ineffective as charging when the main battery is dead it's still serving the same function....
And just cause both batteries discharge at the same time doesn't make it a paperweight..it's still going to add the same amount of life as an equivalent battery pack with a switch....
Having a switch means you can choose when to use it though...meaning you can kill your phone and leave it dead for two hours and then flip the switch....but realistically most people in most circumstances aren't doing that, but it's a nice option

Not only is it overpriced, but they took the cheap and easy way out by combining the cutouts for the LED flash, camera, and speaker. And I absolutely hate that look! Plus the camera is more susceptible to damage. Bad case with poor execution.

quite frankly...
if its anything like the S2 case....then its worthless....
it's too thick and too expensive for what it offers...and they really could do a better job at fitting a case on these things.
I really can't help but wonder why someone can't come up with a good, sleekly designed battery case that offers solid protection and stays on the phone well...
seidio is getting pretty close to doing so imo though....
not too fond of the mophie, looks like no screen/lip protection at all.
I used the powerskin for my nexus and it worked well enough that I was looking forward to this being released. That being said it is way too thick, but I almost never had to worry about my battery being able to last.

I saw the case, AT&T sells it.
I really liked it. And, it's got charge and sync, a on/off switch AND NFC.
According to them, they are the first NFC enabled case.
I have a PowerSkin for my Inspire, but my Inspire is not the best phone--having some OS issues. I'm thinking of upgrading to a GSIII, so having a powerskin for that makes me want to upgrade even more.
In my book, it's a WIN!!!:good:

First off, if it was always on, all it is going to do is charge your main battery while your phone is using it. So say your phone drains your main from 100 to 90. The pack will just charge the internal back from 90 to 100 essentially keeping you at 100% longer.
Pretty much what would happen is the pack would drain out first then your main battery after that's depleted because the pack is no longer charging it.
Secondly, the site says it has an on off switch. Just hold it for 2 sec to power it on or off.

How is the camera more susceptible to damage? Its no longer laying on the lens when you lay the phone on its back making it less susceptible to damage. ? It is a bit on the pricey side for the meager 1500mah battery it contains.. I'd pay $50 for one tops and that only because it has NFC.

Mophie case question.

I am on my 2nd case and want to know if this is normal use or not. I use my phone without the mophie until it's almost dead. I then use the mophie and it charges the phone for maybe 2 hours and the mophie is dead. The phone will have around 75% battery after that 2 hours. I understand the case to work as the main battery when in use so I would think it should be lasting about as long as my phone's battery. Is this right or wrong?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
So the Mophie is only giving you a charge up to 75% battery life when the phone is nearly dead? If so that is odd. I ran my phone down to about 40-50% battery, flipped the Mophie switch and it charged it right up to 99% and I still had 3 lights indicating 75% of the mophie was available. So that is odd.
Are you using the phone while the Mophie is charging it? If so, then you could be reducing the charge rate, just a though.
I'd be careful. I exchanged my case today because I was having an issue where my case would become unresponsive and cut out. If I charged the case for even a second or so, I could press the battery button, see there was still charge left (often 50-75% even), and resume charging my phone. Wash, rinse and repeat in various cycles of time. You can test this by trying to charge the case briefly after it dies. Some units are just defective, which is sad with a $100 case.

I have to say I fully charged my phone and Mophie together over night and went to recharge my phone when it got down to about 40% again and the Mophie only charged it to 75% this time before it went to zero. I honestly don't know. One time it got down to 20% after about close of two and a half days of use and I plugged it in before I went to bed and in the morning it's at 100% (around 7 hours of sleep).

So i don't have this exact item, i have the Zerolemon battery/case, pretty much the same looking case.
I bought a triple pack of these (when the triple pack was available) just so I had room for error.

The trick isn't getting it on the case, it's getting it on the phone, then actually using it. I got it prety much in a spot now where i can have google pay work 80-90% of the time, otherwise the card terminal thinks I'm placing multiple cards on the reader. I have to generally tilt the phone sideways a bit and hold it at an angle for it to detect properly @ Walgreens.

Maybe I need to do some harder use on it but overall it seems I don't need something with more juice then this.

Does it fit inside the official LG battery charger kit BCK-5200? Door would be open of course, but at least if it could be charged outside of the phone?

I honestly don't know. One time it got down to 20% after about close of two and a half days of use and I plugged it in before I went to bed and in the morning it's at 100% (around 7 hours of sleep).
The first day I got it I plugged it in and charged it for about 8 hours even though it has 80% charge out the box just to make sure.

So you only plugged it in? You didn't drain it 3 times like it usually says? Any issues as far as charging and keeping the charge?
Got mine on Saturday it was at 62%. Charged for 9 hours straight . Here's Gsam battery stats so far

This same battery the OP mentioned
Perfine V20 10500 mAh.... Im not sure if it's really 10500 though. Maybe just 10000 mAh
Let it get to about 10%. Here's the stats,
9+ hours of screen in time, haven't charged in 2 days.
This is a great battery.
Thanks to the OP for pointing it out on here
Does the back of the phone heat a lot when charging or during heavy usage/browsing/gaming for the 10500mah/6400mah?
