Definitive guide of which bloatware to remove - Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Questions & Answers

My blue xiaomi mi mix shipped and hopefully will be arriving at end of week, it's the Chinese rom version and I don't intend on changing or flashing anything. Anyone know or can give a complete list of all the bloatware that can be uninstalled without messing anything up? Thanks

Perfect!!! But how to remove them all, without root? I tried adb commands via USB connected to PC but some can't be removed (for example MIUI READER the icon with the smile).

Follow this guide exactly: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.xd...arrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/amp/

Thanks Opasha, already tried. For some apps itcworked, while for some others not (like the app I wrote you above). The command starts but never complete it; the command remain in execution and doesn' t complete the operation, untill I proceede in stopping the process by closing the DOS shell in Windows.

Could be adb hanging. Try typing adb kill-server, hit enter (try a few times) then restart the command.

That list is not even remotely close to "complete" list of what most people consider "bloatware". I usually remove at least 3x more apps and services.

Install the ROM without gapps and reboot until you set the phone and restart in recovery mode and install the gapps
You know when the next version?
I flashed this morning, the Rom is very pretty and goes very smooth, thanks for sharing. I have a problem, I do not charge the battery when I connect the charger. I already tried with 2 chargers. Any solution? Thank you
The video recording does not work for me, the rest is good for what I see.

Hello, this rom has a very good performance in games is the best rom I've ever used for s4, the only problem is that the other day I went to see my balances at the operator, I did not hear a voice that I could not hear. Only problem is that the connection accepts the connection, but you can not hear the people on the other side of the line as if it solves this. Thank you very much for your attention.

Mi A2 LITE - I am searching for a dump of 9.6.2.0

In Italy (where I am living) there is an important issue about 2° SIM slot
After the last update (9.6.4.0) it is not running well: the SIM introduced has not been recognized
This is the reason for which I am searching for previous version
Is there any possibility to find it ?
Thanks a lot
Paolo
Only Xiaomi could provide a link to download it.
Or, it could be possible to dump the partitions from a phone that still runs on that version, by unlocking its bootloader and using some terminal commands and/or adb. But it's a headache doing so.

A friend of mine has a device that is running 9.6.2.0 but at now it has bootloader locked ...
Unfortunately the unlocking comes with a full data wipe and so ... I am managing with it the thing ...
My idea is hot boot to custom recovery the device running 9.6.2.0 and perform only a system nandroid backup and flash it to the device that is running 9.6.4.0
Is it a bad idea ??

I don't know, it should work but I don't know if the radio partitions (probably the only partitions that could fix the bug) are included in the nandroid backup.
What build version are you running now in your phone?

If I could have in my hands the full factory image I could extract radio/modem partition and flash only it but ... I am not able to find 9.6.2.0 firmware ... No way ... So far ...

Another remote possibility is that your phone was on 9.6.2.0, then you updated via OTA to 9.6.4.0 and you stopped updating. Only in that case, in the inactive slot there will be still the 9.6.2.0 versions of the partitions.

Have you tried a GSI to see if one of them fixes the issue? At least then we'll know for sure its ROM related.

It's a treble ROM, like this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/development/9-0-pixelexperience-p-unofficial-t3840551
But as it doesn't touch the radio partitions (only the system partition), I doubt it will resolve.
But many settings are stored on /system, maybe... Give it a try if you can.
I have an issue like that.. but in my case none of the two slots recognize my sim card, I'm from México. How do you think I can fix this?
I have 10 days with this problem, tried 9.6.4.0, 9.6.6.0, 9.6.8.0 and some of the GSI ROMS and none of that seems to fix the issue.

Uhm ... It looks as a small miracle
As I said I am not the owner ... Honestly could be a small risk
But are you suggesting to flash all the ROM or only the modem/radio partition ?
Do you know on which version is it based ??

No, maybe if we could flash radio partition from 9.6.2.0 the problem will be solved. It's a possibility.. respect about flashing a GSI ROM it doesn't solve the problem in my case but you can try it by yourself

Hi, I confirm it.
In early August I bought a MI A2 lite in Italy that came out with V.9.6.2.0 stock firmware.
I updated it immediately via OTA to V.9.6.4.0, but I used it with one sim (SIM 1 slot) only for some days,
When I inserted an additional sim in slot 2 I experienced the problem, but thinking of an hardware failure, I was able to get it replaced by store.
In the meantime I read about this bug and my second MI A2 Lite wasn't updated at all, and is currently running on V.9.6.2.0 yet, without problems.
Tried to open a bug report to xiaomi but I had no useful answers (yet) but a standard reply from some indian people, I guess, from a self naming "MIUI bug hunter team":

Hi,
I have exactly same problem with my HM 7.
I managed to get Pitchblack recovery working, copied the miuimix_ONCLITE to my phone. Started flashing and thats it.
Pls see the attached pics. And yes phone has been officially unlocked
Strangely enough if I check with "getvar all" the phone claims to be "onc" and not "onclite"
Purchased it in Shanghai direct from Xiaomi
Tks for any hint

PS on the pic you see the test result with a different rom. But result is same with miuimix......

Follow the procedure carefully again:
- Wipe system, cache/ART dalvik, data.
- Format data
- Sideload the rom or transfer to your internal/external memory.
- Flash the rom zip.
- No need to flash twrp installer.
- Flash disable encryption
- Reboot normally, it´ll take about 10 minutes.
This is to get Miui works but to return to stock or a custom based rom I did other steps.
Get u give me the link in zip format to flash it? Thanks

Evr-l29 update if u do nothing

If u leave region to US and just wait for android 10 update will an ota update eventually come, or do u have to change region or do something else to force it?
Some had success changing region to Denmark, but it didn't work for me (in the US). I used the package in letschkys (sp?) Thread via otg upgrade and it is working great.
So some just change to Denmark and then wait?
Try using apps like VIRTUALVPN and choose Germany as region. Should fool the server and let you receive the OTA

So just download that app then what? Not savy when it comes to tech stuff
In my case I use Securevpn app but the procedure should be the same.
Launch the app then choose the server where you wanna connect to (in my case touch "auto" and then choose the German server or whatever). Then tap to connect.
Then follow standard update procedure or better try via hisuite.

Start time of EMUI10.0 upgrade via Hicare APP is from 2019/11/15 to 2019/12/18 only. If you failed to update the firmware version via HiCare, you may stay tuned for the official EMUI 10 Update that will be push by February 2020 onwards.

Don't know if you ignored my post, but you can't go from emui 9, 9.1 to emui 10 now, thats closed.
Only option is to get the firmware and use dload method.
Or wait for official emui 10 releasing.
Update just arrived, they must be pushing it out
