Am i the only one who hasn't got the oreo update yet? - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

Had this phone for a bit more than a week. only a small update came with security fixes. Everyone else on the planet seems to have gotten the Oreo update, at least that's what the internet tells me...
Honor 7x
BND L21C432B124

No. Im also still on 7.0. Wrote 2 times to Service. But unfortunately no Oreo is coming around.. Sad

That's dumb, considering most variants of this phone got oreo months back...

Just got it today official.
I suggest you to make a factory reset, then install Firmware Finder and search for full Ota version 8.0.0.330 or any who approve instalation.
Good luck!

Well, if you got it today via ota, I'll hold on a bit longer. I don't fancy factory resetting and although I've used FF before with my p9 lite, I'm a bit afraid to update via FF in case i accidentally void my warranty

please backup important things before use this app

B377 for BLN-L21C432 (europe)

I just discovered the update in Firmware Finder dated july 31. My device is Bln-L21C432...
I'm downloading all 3 files right now. Installing biggest file is best ?
You´re right.
*#*#2846579#*#* and 3 hardware buttons combo do not see update.app in dload.
Strange; B151 did not have PV in filename either.
BLN-L21C432B360.
I just like security updates
Sorry, that I don' t understand.
Dload did not work for me.
B360
I tryed to Install the B364 on my BLN-21 with the Firmware Finder app.
But in the last step, after the download,it comes not certified.
But here they say, there is a new Update for Europe:
http://www.stechguide.com/honor-6x-b364-nougat-update/
"Must be on stock recovery" + "Flash with Twrp".
Strange info. Thanks for the link anyway.
What for Update is it,and when will we get it in Germany OTA?
In the Firmware Finder i can find it and download it,but i cant install it,because it says not compatible file.
And when i search OTA for an Update,i got the message no Update available.
Rommco05 said:
Just patience, over Firmware Finder can install only this update, which have -PV on name end. Just try to look older Nougat firmwares

Thanks a lot for your Help.
I looked in the Firmware Finder, and the Update is without PV ending.
Know i understand.
So i have to wait until the update is there with PV ending.
B365 is out now, only MF also, did anyone try to install this ? For some weird reason my BLN-L21C432 is still stuck on Marshmallow via official update.
But..... why ??? I want updates, now! It's just not fair
[serious] why is that russian site down ? http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=
B366 OTA-MF is also available now, but... on official OTA updates I'm still stuck of B151.
Did anyone flash these MF firmwares?
Only 1 file of 129 mb. Say... uh ?

Contact Honor support, they may force update your device to nougat (they just need your phone's IMEI)
Got B365 tonight. Had to push the updater.
So now I'm on BLN-L21C432B365. Android updated untill august 1.

That's nice, thanks to this thread I've noticed the B365 update. It was strange since that system update kept saying to me that there was no update available when running it, while as i clicked on the 3 dots in the upper right corner I've noticed that the option "download latest update" was there anyway (where often it isn't there if there's nothing to download obviously). 2.45GB for latest security patch is a punch in the eye anyway :cyclops:

Don't think that it'll be possible to extract it now, i wanted to do that too when i went to Nougat from Marshmallow but after the update the system automatically erase the package.
off-topic: how do I change the topic line into: B365 for BLN-L21C432 (europe) ?
not possible ?

has anyone tried updating oreo/emui 8.0 via firmware finder?

hi all... has anyone tried updating their honor 8 pro/v9 to oreo/emui 8.0 through team mt's firmware finder? i tried updating through it, downloaded the whole 2.81GB but it didn't install by giving the error upon starting the installation "unauthorized package. it will delete now." (i don't remember the exact wording but it was somewhat same)
did i miss any step?

The updates being rolled out are bound to the IMEI of the devices and hence, will fail to install if downloaded through any other means except the official channel.

Hi I too did the same procedure but it just didn't work?
I don't know when we will get the update?
I've just been chatting with Honor. They told me that the rollout started on 7 Feb and will be rolled out in 4 phases. They expect all phones to be updated with 8 weeks of the starting date. I haven't received the update either. The update with Firmware Finder will not work. In another thread somebody reported bricking his device by trying to update with FF.
You can downlode the 3 firmware files (update,data_full_public,hw.(in for me) and try flashing twrp using DUK_FullOTA_ROM_flasher.
I did the update and it is working just fine. There is a video with instructions inside the app itself. Tap on the upper left corner and when the drop down menu appears select instructions.
I have tried many times using firmware finder but no success finally fully flashed

C675 is the India Cust firmware, u will not recive OTA to the phone if u live in Ireland, u must use a simcard from a India provider.
I would rebrand the phone to C432 Cust that is for Europe.
U can Google FunkyHuawei, it's a paid service but with that tool u can rebrand it to Europa Cust C432 and u will get OTA.
Or u can do it your self for free if u knowhow. U need to unlock bootloader and install TWRP, see link.

Why can't I update my Tmobile S6 edge plus?!!!

Hi everybody, I'm from Africa and I recently bought a used Tmobile Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus (sm-g928T) but I can't do software update.
When I go to Settings > About device > And click "Download updates manually"
It says "Registering device..." and then it either says "Processing failed." or "Registration failed."
can you help me to fix this problem please?
I know the phone came from USA in an unofficial way but it's not lost or stolen, I checked it on the Web using imei number and it said it's "clean" device.
Tried a factory reset yet?
If you dont want to do that, then you can download the latest update from Sammobile and install it via Odin.

Hi, I did a factory reset and it didn't change anything.
If I flash the phone via Odin will it still recognize my local sim card or I have to unlock the phone after installing the update?

If you download and install the official version from sammobile (with f. Reset unticicked) the only thing changed should be the os. It would leave everything else as is, unless the way you have your phone unlocked is through some process I don't know.

Should I install the latest update or the same version I have then check for the OTA update?
My phone baseband version is G928TXXU3DPG1 which is wired because I can't find any firmware with (XX) in the middle on sammobile or any other website, the most similar is G928TUVU3DPG1 but I don't wanna use a wrong firmware, I need to be sure.
Any suggestion please? Could my phone be simply refurbished and doesn't support android updates?
Solved using Samfirm and Odin

Thanks ?
I'm gonna take a big guess and say I'll lose root if I do this.
Edit: Can't update. Have TWRP. Don't have stock boot file for my US Honor 6X. No available links in the sticky forum either.

These are the files needed for the update (B366 version):
https://mega.nz/#F!7clljDYQ!DjUTltO2GOHfBlHDndmCvQ
After the update, just flash TWRP and root again. None of your settings or apps/data will be affected (unless you've something that changes system files such as xposed framework - this can be resolved by reinstalling exposed zip)

Nope, I never had to. If the update re-locks the bootloader, your data partition will be wiped. As said above, the update does not affect your data (as also noted by Huawei's update info which says "This update will not erase your personal data, but we recommend that you back up any important data before updating.").
Got it! But I saw B368 on Firmware Finder.

I got B367 on Saturday via notification. I'm the only one of three in the family thus far to get it, so it's definitely a slow roll out. I was super excited when I realized it also magically fixed my lagging camera-startup issue. :good:
That is, until today, when I realized I still had a massively lagging camera. Sigh...
Please tell me we'll soon get Oreo AND a camera fix.

yeah, local update attempts have always failed on my OP11 CPH2449 so I uninstalled the oxygen updater app and now update via OTA
I hit check for update and it updates from settings
I downloaded full update zip of A13.1 (13.1.0.580), did the local update and now phone is unusable.
Most of the app force closes after half a second, you can’t even go to Local Update menu anymore because this section force closes.
I reset and wiped data from phone twice already, setting it up from scratch but it still doesn’t work.
Anybody else has similar issue on CPH2449 and latest 13.1?
Is it possible to downgrade to previous version via ADB and then update from OTA?
