type C OTG adapter is detected but LG G7 thinq doesn't recognize TV tuner - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have a USB OTG adapter that works on my Huawei P10, my wife´s P20, and Mi Tab 3. However, when I connect a TV tuner using this adapter to LG G7, it seems that it is being detected:

But, whichever option I choose, it seems that it cannot work and start loading the device again and asking me the same thing. Is there any configuration that I might be missing?
Thanks!

[Q] [KERNEL] [N5100] OTG with Charging Support

I miss the old ages, when my SGS i9000 was able to charge while it was in OTG mode.
I wonder if its possible for the SGN N5100.
OTG mode + charging Note 8.0.
On this machine is the chip TSU6111A (ACTIVE) Dual SP2T Micro-USB Switch with integrated impedance and charger detection.
Using the datasheet TSU6111A and manipulating a variable resistor found the necessary resistance in 64.9K between 4 and 5 foot USB defined as connected to "Connected to the stand" with dietary intake in the tablet from the USB device and the machine starts mounting on the periphery of the active hub.
P.S. all other denominations for both types of connections for audio, video and sign in bootloader mode tablet work.
Table of resistor values to activate the USB port:

Kernel from Samsung has this feature disabled.
You need a kernel with "CONFIG_MUIC_MAX77693_SUPPORT_SMART_DOCK" enabled.
I get Molecule Kernel sources and make my own version, now I can use charge and otg at same time.

I use the same rom, but with my own kernel.
I used 66K resistor, that worked, and now I get some 65K.
If you need, I can sent to you my compiled kernel, you need heimdall and to install in a rooted device.

[Q] Micro USB video troughput

I want to use a Lightpack to have an Ambilight experience also for my 'regular' TV signal, which I receive trough my digital TV decoder. But because the Lightpack only works when connected to a PC or Android device, I want my OUYA to 'translate' these images received from the decoder. Here is what I was thinking about:

1. By using a HDMI splitter I will get the original quality (1080p) from my decoder in my TV.
2. Then I use a HDMI to micro USB converter which I connect to my OUYA.
3. The HDMI goes into my TV (for when I only want to use my OUYA)
4. and a USB cable goes into the Lightpack.
The one thing I am still uncertain about is whether my OUYA can display images received trough the Micro USB port..
Or is there an app that supports this?
In faq you have a link to the apk for ouya. I think that you don't need Hdmi to usb. Maybe usb to usb but it comes with the pack. Sorry for my bad english

Hi Malaquita,
Thank you for your reply. The Lightpack is indeed controlled by the OUYA using a USB cable (also in picture).
Though, my question was whether the OUYA could display images received from another device. Since the OUYA has no video input, I was wondering if this could be done using the (micro)USB port of the OUYA.

Does Mi6 have a support for HDMI/MHL interface?

I like to play movies from my phone/tablet using a small portable projector. It's possible as both devices support Slimport and a tiny microsub/HDMI adapter is sufficient for connection. I wanted to try if my new Mi6 can do the same trick, but a cheap Chinese adapter usb-c/HDMI doesn't work. I wonder if the official Xiaomi connector (photo and link below) can help somehow.

There are multiple versions of USB C to 3.5mm cables where they have different technologys of throughput where it's not reverse compatible with other devices because there may be an audio chip in the adapter. There is a video on youtube about it that i unfortunally can't find. Isn't the p20 light comming with it's own adapter or headphones with USB C connector? Anyways, try finding a Huawei branded adapter. Should be easy to find in any tech store around the globe.
It won't work,
Bluetooth is only option if your Jack is broken.

Using a mobile broadband stick with a PX5 unit

Hi everyone!
I bought a car which has an A-Media Auto (1024x600 W) Head Unit, with Android 6. It has a USB plug, and I want to use my Huawei E3372h stick with it to eliminate the need to share my phones' WiFi everytime I want to use the internet on the HU.
So far I cannot achieve anything on this. I've found PPP Widget 3, which would handle the stick, but it needs root permissions, and I can't root the device. None of the apks I've found were able to root the HU. I've found a HOWTO, but it needs adb. Adb over WiFi doesn't work, as you can't authorize you PC over WiFi, only through USB connection.
The HU only has a USB-A plug, and while I have a USB-A male-male cable, the connection just didn't work, my PC just said 'no devices/emulators attached' (adb is enabled in the developer options)
So I'm stuck and out of ideas.
Any suggestions where to continue?
Thank you!

Honestly, replace with a FYT based UIS7862 with builtin cellular
Hey, I myself tried to find an affordable 5G-Stick but most of them don't recognize AT-Commands anymore.
I ended up using "Hotspot Automatik" on my phone.
As soon as my phone connects to the Radios Bluetooth (you can whitelist devices) it starts an hotspot.
Works like a charm.
Just a suggestion since I ran into the same problem.
