Problem with flashing ROMs (only official developer ROM working)

Hey guys,
I got a problem and I am not sure what I’m doing wrong. I wanted to install a custom ROM to my Xiaomi Mi 6 but it doesn’t work. I’ve done similar steps to my Redmi 4X and there it worked just fine. A little help would be really appreciated.
Here is what I did. I updated my new device to the latest stable version with the updater app. I then had to install the official developer ROM (from MIUI) because of a bug (not able to register for unlock). I requested the unlock officially and after the waiting time unlocked the device with the MIUI unlock flash tool. In the developer options the device was shown as unlocked and also the bootloader was unlocked.
I installed TWRP 3.2.1-1 from the official website. After booting into TWRP I installed the latest mi-globe ROM (v9.5.3.0 oreo!). After a reboot I could see the logo of the mi-globe ROM but nothing would happen.
I did one mistake. The first time I installed the mi-globe ROM I forgot to wipe Dalvik, Cache, Data and System partition (clean install). So, after I recognized my mistake I rebooted into TWRP made the wipe and installed again but with no success.
After that I tried to install the next lower version of mi-globe (v9.2.4.0 with Android 7.1.1) but this got also stuck at the boot animation. The animation still moves but nothing happens. I waited for about 10 minutes.
5 minutes ago I flashed the official developer ROM with TWRP and it worked. The phone is booting. I was not able to flash the official stable ROM only the developer version works?!?!
Any idea what I did wrong? I flashed custom ROMs a couple of times but never got a problem like this.
Thank you!
Problem solved!
I got it working now. Problem was that wiping data is not enough. I read it in another post. So, if someone has the same problem here is how I solved it:
1. Boot into TWRP
2. FORMAT data (not wipe) - go to wipe, click button in right corner to format data
3. Type in “yes” (all data will be erased!!)
4. Reboot into recovery (TWRP)
5. Go to wipe and wipe Dalvik, Cache, and System
6. Reboot into recovery (TWRP)
7. Go to install and install zip of ROM you would like to install
8. Reboot system - worked!!
:good::good:
The rebooting into recovery is just for safety. I read that if system is wiped the partition could not be available for installation if you don't reboot. So, I guess its better to reboot just be sure.
I have one question or help if I can. I have Mi6 with a global stable rom 9.5.3.0 version. I want to go to the global developer rom. 8.4.12 how to do it if there is a way to not open the bootloader.

just download the developer rom an place it in phone memory. goto settings>about>system update. press the 3 dot button and choose update package . Developer rom will be installed without unlocking bootloader.

Format data and cache partitions as ext4 not as f2fs..
Then follow my instructions as before..
Miui has inbuilt gapps..
Why u need opengapps then ??
(Dont flash gapps on miui..)

Recovery download page is offline at present for maintenance.

Unless you already have it downloaded already or can find a reliable mirror, fastboot roms are also not available.

TRWP and MIUI 10

Hallo,
i have a new mi max 3.
first i install miui 10.0.1.0 and it works good.
then i wont install twrp to get root.
And this doesnt work.
I will still stand at mi logo.
please help me; what can i do.
I have also before brick a mi max 3.

Question:
Can i flash with twrp the gobal 10.0.1.0 again on the handy.
exactly the: miui_MIMAX3Global_V10.0.1.0.OEDMIFH_220b8e8eab_8.1.zip
Please send me a exactly workflow. I dont want to brick the handy again.
best recards
dieter
flash twrp before reboot to new system(after successful miflash) and boot twrp flash magisk. sorry for my english
thank you for the answer.
but it dosnt work.
I have install magisk.
then reboot
And the phone still suck by the 3 points android.
Sorry also for my bad english.
Have anyone a another idea.
1.Reflash global stable official via Miflash
2.Flash and boot twrp before first boot to android system(twrp will not ask for decrypt password)
3.Flash magisk and reboot system.
if you format via twrp to remove decrypt password you will brick unless you reflash Miflash or flash xiaomi.eu rom and change data to f2fs
And now:
wipe (factory reset) and than install ....10.01.0.zip
the problem is also here.
suck in "3 points android"
Anyone a idea ?

Can you give me a detailed guide?
I have miflash 2018.5.28.0: correct version?
"reflash global": Is the 10.0.1.0 the right version (this was on it)?
Thanks in advance for the reply.
addendum:
I found only the ... 10.0.1.0.zip on the net.
The version required for miflash ... tgz I do not think so.

You can't install Chinese Rom on Global version right?
I have EU rom, rooted and flashed TWRP, on Telegram they say to me to only download this beta, put on internal and flash, like a rom, and I will have this, is that try? To follow this steps:
OTA Update on Rooted Devices
1. Download Full Recovery OTA ZIP
2. Place in internal storage
3. Boot to twrp
4. Mount System and Vendor if not already mounted
5. Flash the ROM, and Don't reboot.
6. Flash magisk
7. Close AVB
8. Open file explorer inside twrp
9. Navigate to /system_root/system and check for file named "recovery-from-boot.p" and delete the file.
10. Reboot
Download link:

Followe the steps and the phone keeps booting in Xiaomi logo all time and loose TWRP recovery, any ideas how to solve it
gusmas, mate, you have to boot in bootloader, and again flash TWRP or other recovery.
It happen to me also... I do not follow those steps, cause do not know about it.
Please, would someone be so kind to explain how to do - Close AVB?
Thanks in advance. Regards to all.

Only this TWRP version got the feature for that built-in: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-twrp-recovery-redmi-note-8-pro-t4033695
It's in Advanced > Close AVB > check the 1st option only > swipe.
