Attached the USB mouse to phone, and used it to done all your backup tasks. I had used this method long ago on the Samsung phone with success.

[Q] Format and restore without a working touchscreen

I have GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus and the internal digitizer screen went bad after it cracked. My phone turns on fine, but the touchscreen is rendered useless. Screen doesn't turn on, but I am able to boot into the internal sd card portion of the phone via usb on mac and pc. Instead of me paying to buy a new screen I just want to sell this on ebay as is and recover my losses for the upcoming nexus 4. The problem is I don't want my personal info on it and unfortunately I was unable to setup the usb debugging mode prior to the screen cracking so screencast app won't work for me, I tried. Any ideas on how I can wipe my phone clean? Can this be done via odin? and if so how? Thanks for the heads up.

asus nexus 7 hard brick

Hello all,
I bought my asus nexus 7 (second edition) in 2014. i had no issues until recently. whenever i press the power button to turn it on the google logo comes on and then it goes black. I took it to a tablet repair place and the guy could not fix it. He said its "hard bricked." he said he was able to get to the bootloader page and unroot it ??? but he could not fix the issue of it timing out and turning off.
I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue and can my nexus 7 be saved/salvaged. As i told him i do not not care if its factory resetted.
He told me to post in a forum as it was developer issue and maybe a developer can fix it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have only used this tablet for travel. so its virtually brand new. I would prefer not to waste money on another one.

Hi, connect external power and start again. OK?
yes - replace the battery
no - read on...Do Fastboot Diagnostics. OK?
yes - flash factory image
no - check "Repair Options"

Send screen unlock passcode with damaged screen?

HI All -
First time poster, but I've been here many many times with this Pixel. Thanks for all your help.
So I cracked my screen on my Pixel, and now it's bleeding purple. The touchscreen isn't working enough to put in the unlock code, and since it was rebooted it needs that before I can use fingerprint etc.
I'm wondering if there's a way/program/whatever to send the unlock code to a Pixel via the USB. I have a "trusted computer" that should be able to Bluetooth once the initial unlock is done. The objective is to backup some pictures that I took this weekend before having the screen replaced. (Had a bad experience losing data last time with a different phone.)
Any suggestions?
Thanks all!
Will
Use a otg dongle and a mouse. I have done this a few times with other phones.

Is there any reason your photos wouldn't automatically be backed up to Google Photos? With the Pixel you get unlimited original quality backup of photos for free and I think the phone is set to automatically back up your photos unless you actually turn the feature off.

Mi Box response to touch screen inputs

Hello guys,
I am probably trying to achieve impossible but I will give it a try. Recently i have bought a Mi Box 3 and a hannsspree touch screen monitor. If monitor is connected to samsung galaxy s8 phone I can use the phone via monitor's touch screen.
I've tried to look how to enable touch on Mi Box but without luck. Hopefully someone can help me or provide me with some information how to change kernel or so to activate touch response on Mi Box via touchscreen monitor.
Have a wonderful day

Mi 10T Pro rebooting when charging

Giving my own question and answer here as I didn't find anyone with the same issue which I've now resolved.
My Mi 10T Pro kept on rebooting during charging. Sometimes not at all, sometimes up to 6 or 7 times when charging for a while. This was particulary a problem when using in my car with Android Auto as when the phone rebooted, it woudn't reconnect to the car.
I had thought about going down the hard reset route to see if that fixed it, but didn't want to go through the wringer with reinstalling everything. In safe mode, the phone didn't reboot whilst charging. I was almost ready to swallow it and buy a new phone.
Luckily, before spending my pennies, I discovered that turning off USB debugging in the developer tools section means that my phone no longer reboots!
Posting here in the hope that this solution could help someone else out there.
