This is my personal kernel project, which I looked to be a stable kernel for daily usage, with useful features only, and to have a half term under performance and battery life for Xiaomi msm8996 devices. Inspired by projects like Flash Kernel and ElementalX Kernel

4. A: Stop right there. The Kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone. If verified the clocks are always online and on the max clock, then it'll checked out what's happen. Anyway logs are necessary.

It's working on Pie ROMs as for now, but with the rebase of all stuff for Pie, the version for Pie and Oreo will be separated from one and other soon.

Flashed on ArrowsOS - HMP Pie. Stable, but some lagging not sure if ROM or Kernel or both combo not good. At least Touchboost and CPU boost helped.

@Jonas Cardoso have tested on LOS 16.0 both HMP and EAS. All them booted and seems to be fine.

qualcomm's hotplug is very aggressive with putting cores online.

I'm just sorry that they are really two beautiful Rom (Cosmic-HexagonOS), but the fact that there is no Offline Charging and a big problem because I jump the battery ... and for this reason I do not install it
I agree. I didn't tried it too because the thing I'm looking for isn't working (radio fm). It's actually the only thing that's keeping me from moving to nougat.
I've searched the rom on Google and it looks nice. It's actually pretty to have so many nougat roms to try and see which one's fit for us.
Any lead on how to fix radio fm? Apparently, it's not kernel related.

Okay this has been down for some time since that initial beta build. Sorry for the delay.
Fixed the video and audio playback issues and updated kernel to include latest changes from @Thargorsson.
I will update the OP, links and instructions soon.
Instructions:
* Flash Rom zip
* Flash the audio fix.
* Flash magisk zip.
REBOOT.
Note: I recommend microG. Use opengapps if you wish.
IMPORTANT: After reboot set up everything and download kernel auditor and configure the Hotplugs and CPU Governor.
Use 'Ondemand' as CPU Governor and disable all or use just one of the Hotplugs (Either MPDecison or MSM Hotplug)
Now you are good to go.
PS: Report any bugs with a logcat and note that flashing any custom mods or using any custom themes are your choice.

Kernel auditor is an app used to tweak kernel settings. Available on play store. Download it and you will see what to do about the note.

AOSP ROMs (LOS, AEX, PE, Cardinal etc.). I'm not planning to support MIUI, at least not as for now.
How does it interact with CPU clocks? I wrote something in my first post on those forums half an hour ago (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-2/help/issues-cpu-battery-life-horrible-xiaomi-t3849717), could it improve my current issues?
I don't mean overclocking at all.

I've underclocked the EAS kernel build to 2.2/2.15GHz on big clusters to handle a bit with battery and not heat up a lot the device. I actually don't have the scorpio, but also I didn't have any problems like you've wrote on your post on Natrium (Mi 5s Plus) not on Capricorn (Mi 5s) as my testers have related to me. Also that point of bad thermal management was found out by @Alberto96 and his AEX builds are fine with thermal related stuff. You can try them to check if you got it fine. Also you can try FloppyKernel for MIUI by @Jonas Cardoso (https://github.com/JonasCardoso/and...-Lite-Prime-Pro-01102018-Linaro-Oreo-MIUI.zip) to check if also solves your problems with the scorpio's MIUI 10 stock.

The EAS kernel very good for battery life but it impact performance so much, because 1 core of each Big n Little CPU get offline. Is it possible to just make it underclocked with big CPU limit between 1,8-2,1GHz and Little CPU between 1,516-1,59 (or @Any freq you think is the best)? Or it's the way the energy aware work? I think all core online with low freq is better then 2 core offline with big freq.

Big clusters are already on 2.15Ghz. Little clusters i kept the "stock" freqs. Actually EAS is better for graphics performance, not battery performance, which has as consequence bigger battery consumption.. Anyway, I've received feedbacks of the same thing on Natrium (my device) and already looking to check if I get it fine with the performance then

Great.. thank you.. waiting for your next build. BTW Little CPU stock freq gave too much heat when playing game, could you downclock it a bit
If anyone got the cores always running on the max freqs on EAS Kernel, set governor to ondemand and then set again to schedutil. That's a workaround for now

Yes... Using it with f2fs... And yes flash f2fs format zip in arters topic then before booting up flash f2fs fstab... Worked fine... Btw this kernel is stable(VERY STABLE FAST AND BATTERY FRIENDLY).... and with f2fs it even can fly...

One small bug, the link speed for wifi is always 0.

Tried... Not much of different... But this is fast smooth and very battery friendly... Exactly for battery this is a monster... All kernels are good... Tried even arter97, radioactiv, smurf, ex... Etc... Now staying with this
If I'm on oos 9.0.5 with xXx and Renovation rom with stock kernel all I have to do is flash this kernel zip right? No need to flash the boot image?

Oh... Maybe this is exactly for stable oos? Idk... What version of magisk did you flashed?and what kind of error did you get? Bootloop or maybe Qualcomm crashdump? Or it is rebooting to recovery?
Kernel is pretty smooth but on the balanced profile the big core is at least 25%-30% on the top frequency just when browsing net or chatting WhatsApp. Normally smurf and holydragon doesn't act like this on balanced profile

The SD625 chipset was never intended for "heavy" 3D games, it's more of an energy-efficient chipset.

1. I Dont Own the Device For My Personal Testing. Redmi 6 Pro & MI A2 Lite Share The Same Specs, Hence I Shared My Kernel Work For MI A2 Lite.
2. When Coming to Games, I Usually Play Pubg & On my Device It is Smooth As Butter.
3. And It Should Be Good If You Mind, What You Speak. Saying Something Crap Isnt a Good Deal. First Let Your Main Devs Get a Fully Stable Tree With 4.9 Stuff On To It.
