First time installing crDroid to your Honor 5x, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (latest TWRP, 3.2.3 or above)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Unfortunately no, at least not from me. It sounds like you have the wrong firmware. This isn't an issue with the ROM.
Please don't quote the OP in any replies. If you can edit your post to remove the quote, I'd appreciate it.

Did you reboot after flashing the ROM and before flashing gapps? You have to flash both before your first boot.

Question. Does this ROM make our kiwi treble compatible? Or because of hardware restraints, no.

You have to flash gapps before first boot or you'll always get those crashes.

Old Huawei phones like ours are actually capable of supporting treble, but we havent started using it yet.

Thanks, but with devs like you, we won't need it anyway. I can live without that, as long as you guys make great ROMs.

The ROM works fine but it doenst find my wifi (but it shows other ones that are near). I tried many mods but none find my wifi. Mobile data and everything else works fine.

Go to your router setting and check which wifi channel it is using. If it's 12 or 13 change it under 10 and see if it fix the problem.

About OmniROM
See what OmniROM is all about: http://omnirom.org/about/
What do you need
OmniROM is a custom ROM and to be able to install a custom ROM, you will need to unlock your bootloader. You can unlock your bootloader from the Asus website. Please be advised that you will loose your warranty.
You need to be on the latest 4.2 bootloader. If not please update to the lastest Asus stock ROM first, otherwise you might brick your TF300T!!!
To be able to install OmniROM you will need at least TWRP 2.8.5.0 or higher
You need to have TWRP or CWM installed
You will need a flashable GApps package
You need SuperSU if you want to have root access
See the Downloads part of this message for the needed packages
How to install
To install OmniROM please follow these instructions:
Flash the TWRP 2.8.5.0 (or higher)
Reboot into recovery
Do a factory reset / full wipe
Flash the OmniROM zip file, the GApps ZIP file and SuperSU ZIP file
Reboot the tablet and enjoy OmniROM

Seems to work really well from a quick play around. Thanks for this, only thing I noticed is there didn't appear to be a battery status for the keyboard dock
Edit: Attempting to swype on the stock keyboard also seems to crash the keyboard
WiFi also seems to turn off during sleep despite choosing to always keep WiFi on during sleep
We don't make mistakes, We just have happy accidents.

Omni hasn't had that in 4.4 yet either. The dock battery will still charge the tablet though.

What do you mean if there is a kernel for this ROM? Without kerel it would not even boot
If you mean a custom kernel? I do not know. Have a look around, but do not think there is a custom kernel for Omni.
If there is a good custom kernel, it needs the Omni ramdisk.

No roms besides stock stupport volte.
As first impression rom looks really good with a lot of customization options, only bugs I see are checking settings for call waiting and call forwarding(where phone disconnects from carrier) but I believe those are from source code since I have seen that on almost all roms with 8.1. Other then that really great job and thank you for your hard work.
ask, if I do not have the latest installed nougat firmware, do not boot the rom, no? but if bootea is because I have the latest firmware?

Oh ok, that if I have it before installing roms custom, ask if you have to install this fix: mic gain fix aosp or not? Does the parallel application work fine? because when I duplicate the app as clash royale does not load the part to put google account, and last question is working the part to play from the sd card with the folder mount app or not? or another method that works to play from the SD

Haven't posted any new build. Will update after source gets updated with April Security Patch and mic fixed.
In my opinion, the best ROM 8.1 so far. CosmicOS is also excellent.
The only detail that keeps me from using it all the time is the fact that Android Auto does not work on Roms 8.1. But I think it's not ROM's problem but Android's own Auto.
If anyone can use it, please tell me.

Many thanks to mg712702 for putting this together - looks great!
A few notes:
-I was upgrading from Lineage OS and I needed to not just wipe /data but do a reformat to get it to boot - I was getting "please enter your android password" prompts on boot even after flashing. TWRP may seem to fail with the message "couldn't mount /data" but try rebooting and it may just have worked enough to boot.
-I originally flashed ROM + gapps and the camera worked fine. Without gapps the camera crashes. (as pointed out above)
- I tried to install Magisk - TWRP rebooted suddenly halfway through the install and now the ROM hangs on boot. Guess I am going to have to reflash.
Stable Pie Rom
Everything is working on my Z00T!
-Camera works on stock ay first boot but there are time that it crashes but reboot it fix it
-Video Recording also works even on pixelmaster
-Smooth af
-Customization all working
My only struggle with this is with magisk sometimes it disappears after boot.
Overall great rom!
I Can't test the battery life because my battery is ****! ?
Aex 6.2 is also working
Good Job!?
Hey @mg712702 thanks for the rom dev. Its my favorite rom & good to see this rom with pie because of you. Anyway keep up the good work!!
Amazing Rom Mate!
The ROM is absolutely amazing and I appreciate your work a lot! This is smooth and mostly stable,I wish the VoLTE was fixed sooner or later it will be a blessing for me!And again an amazing ROM cheers to your effort

I've tried dirty flashing over a few ROMs like Bootleggers, AEX Oreo, crDroid Oreo & LOS 16. Most times it works at first boot, sometimes they wouldn't work at all. Or it may even not work at first boot but after restarting it might... or after a couple of reboots. But generally in my experience if it manages to work on first boot (or first 2-3 rather), if I restart again the camera will not work anymore. Tried the LOS 16 method of clearing cache and all but to no avail. It's pretty unstable I would say (the camera I mean).

Install fresh 8.1 by updating ota without installing any 3rd apps and do full backup in twrp, you can get boot.img, system.img and others, that's how i got 8.0 boot.img and recovery.img. There are guides about that. That's my suggestion.

Thank you the ray of hope here! I guess it works just fine without GApps?
Is system.img & boot.img the only thing you need? Just for 8.1?
I will try to send it tonight (European time). I've got it for 8.0 and 8.1 I think. Where can I send it?

DOWNLOAD ROM
OXYGEN KERNEL (compulsory to boot)
DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your Galaxy J7 2016, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running the Official TWRP Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, oxygen kernel zip & gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash oxygen kernel (linked above)
6) Flash gapps
7) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

I have SM-J710F, and this ROM worked good.
I hold Power+VolumeDown after flashing, and booting norm.
I found 3 bugs on SM-J710FN:
1. When all animations in Developer settings turned off and I tried turn off the screen with power button, screen doesn't turn off, it just making not so bright. It's happening not every time, just with some chance.
2. Internet from SIM works not so good. I always have E instead of 4G or LTE. When I was on other ROM with Android 8 it worked good. Any ideas to fix it?
3. Oxygen kernel do not apply settings on boot via Oxygen control v2.0.0
Another bug: User switch works not good. Not all crDroid's and Android's settings come back after switching from Guest to Owner. Also android crashed on switching them the first time.
