LG G6 att convert to LGUS995 - AT&T LG G6 Guides, News, & Discussion

Do at your own risk I'm not responsible for damaged phones or lost information on devices. Your warranty is void if you do this ok.
. I converted an att LG G6 to h873 then I noticed no volte. So I decided to try us997. Now I get LTE on Verizon it even makes calls and sends texts. It's June 2018 security patch.
When i put in a TMobile card I get wifi calling. This is better firmware than 873 it's the same process to convert.
If I was to fresh flash from att 871 go to 873 then go to 997 since that was how I did it. I'll post the thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/us997-stock-20b-8-0-kdz-t3811569
Volte is here on this device & TMobile wifi calling works and things seem to work great . Couldn't test att wifi calling.

This is the convert guide here. Just use the first link to get the lgus997 kdz
If you do this don't have password or security on the phone just in case.

For Ls993 not working....stuck in fastboot mode. Hard reset doesn't help.
You just flash with the BOARD DL and that's all??

But did you perform a factory reset? That is what would be needed if the phone does not boot.

OP You might want to change your thread title. It says "LGUS995" Which is a G Flex 2

Do NOT try this with T-mobile H872. You will brick your phone. H872 has different RSA encryption from the other North American variants and even the European variants.

If ure still on kk i used stump root to root it then get on play and get a app called flashify get your recovery im pretty sure twrp is bumped which is a workaround for a unlockable bootloader so technicly bootloader is still locked were just slipping through a hole in the fence to say

Is it possible for GS6 international roms to work on Sprint GS6?

Like if I take the modem of the Sprint GS6 and the Kernel and add them to the rom of the international version, would it work?
I'm very sorry for the nooby question, I'm just trying to learn a few things.

No. At best, if you flash a S6 Sprint kernel, it will work, but with no data.

It is possible, you need to use like Uninkernel and replace some files from a International R0M with ones from a Sprint ROM.

I don't think anyone has successfully used any of the international Roms. one of the devs told me it had to do with how much more different the source code is on the Sprint model.

I used to do it when I had my Sprint LG G3, it worked really well its just a matter of finding a model with similar Wifi Chips, Bluetooth Chips, etc
I may work on it actually, if anyone wants to help message me
When I messed with international ROMs on my S5, I kept having issues with Phone force closing and everything data/phone related force closing. I never followed the logcat but I think I gave up because it required fixing a lot of smali code in the framework.jar which.. screw that. Lol. I think it is possible, just way too much work to make it function fully.
I got this ROM booting, just flash it and THIS KERNEL. So far, cellular and 5GHz WiFi don't work, I will be working on a patch though. It will be a all in one patch, with Kernel, WiFi and cellular then you guys can test...

I mean I've gotten some roms to work, only problem is getting the data to work.
Or lets say if I try porting a VZW rom, what would I have to do to get data or is it not possible?

That's what I've been trying to figure out... Data seems to be the hardest thing to patch. Does anyone know if there is a modem.img?

The dev was Xileforce, but it was him telling me that he heard the source was different. I haven't browsed around much, but if there is a dev porting international to sprint on the Note 5 or Edge Plus, they might know where such files exist. Also, the devs from the international forum that have attempted to port might have insight also.
Could we make a modem.IMG? Or do you guys know where the modem.bin goes?

If I had the device I'd help. I really would like bluetooth tethering but sprint disabled it in the bluetooth lib file(native code) only way to get it working is with CM or intl rom.

I dont think it is modem related. its lib and framework related. As said by the other guy, there is A LOT of source code changes that we don't have access to. It will boot, as you have seen, but the data doesn't work due to how the native code interacts with the hardware on the device. It tries calling methods that do not exist or are named differently. Intl ROMs mainly use GSM. Which is one of the reasons its so tedious. When I had T-Mobile, a simple change in the APN would make intl ROMs work.

Unlock bootloader on an LG G4 H815T

Hello everyone.
I have bought an LG G4 H815T two years ago and I can't stand the official firmware anymore.
I know loads of threads exist on that subject, so let me explain why my case is slightly different.
I am stuck on software version v10b-GLOBAL_COM : Android 5.1, build number LMY47D.
When I check on the "update" tab, it says it's up-to-date.
When I check with LG Bridge, it says i'm up-to-date.
I asked LG, they won't do anything for me.
If I try to unlock my phone the official way, LG tells me I can't do it because that version (Australian market) can't not be unlocked.
I can't get unlock.bin to work when I reboot the phone in fastboot nor unlock it with ADB.
I saw the thread "unlock any G4 with UsU" but in the requirements it says it needs android 6.0+ or it will hard-brick the phone.
What can I do? My phone is literally not usable, I really need a custom rom.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers,
SIHS.

I suppose I can, but don't I need an unlocked bootloader to flash that update?
Also, I fear that updating to V20E will make the anti-rollback system over version v2 which would be a problem even for UsU, right?

LG Q 7 Plus

is there anyone that have had any luck rooting a LG Q 7 Plus
it will Brick MetroPCS/T-Mobile versions
Well hello there my friend!
I upgraded a few months back to the (Metro PCS) LG Q7+ Model: LG-Q610MA.
Do you know which Model of the phone you have?
If you still have the factory sticker on the back with the IMEI # on it, you can find the model number directly underneath that and to the left.
Models LG-Q610MA & LG-Q610TA, are NOT possible to install TWRP on them currently, anyways.
Then there is the Q7+ThinQ version and the regular Q7+ versions.
So, I am NOT sure if the Rooting process is different or not between the 2 versions.
So, i guess, I am about as confused as you.
Boy, I sure hope TWRP becomes available for it soon!!
